Kalri looked around taking everything in. She made mental notes of the guards at the gate, kind of weapons, numbers. Her mind was ablaze as she surveyed all that she could see. As the guards bade them enter and they passed through she looked within the city walls. "Tyrn" she asked, "What do you feel like eating tonight?"

Mar looked over at Kalri. "Well, Lei, I'm not sure. I haven't been here in some time. I say we try something new. There is a little inn over there, one rarely occupied. Let's stay there." Mar played the part of a traveler rather well, having done it many times. He knew the guards would be listening, and he wanted to be sure they suspected nothing.

"As you wish Tyrn." Kalri took the role of the obedient little sister as they made their way to the inn. She continued committing the streets, buildings and as many things as she could take in to memory. Just as Mar had told her. She shut herself off from feeling the thoughts of the people around her for now because she needed to concentrate on building her mental map.

They reached the inn quickly. Taking their things inside, Mar rented a room with two beds and a single washroom. He took their things to the room, keeping his weapons hidden.

Kalri did as Mar did. Following him into the room she looked at the two beds. She had never shared a room with anyone other than Sabonth before. This would be...different. She sat near the window, looking out at the commotion of the city. Observing the people, she watched them go about their daily business. 'They are not so unlike me.' she thought. She knew deep down that everyone was very different than her. She had always known it. She felt the darkness within her. Had always felt it. She knew that it would always be there and that was alright. She knew of no other way.

Mar quickly unpacked their things, falling into the nearest bed. "I'm exhausted," he said, looking up at the ceiling. "Well, you wanted to come here. So? What do you want to do?"

"Well how bout we rest now then go get something to eat after the sun goes down?" She wanted to see as much as she could and was more comfortable going out under cover of night. Probably from years of sneaking around the castle during the night. That was the best time to learn the secrets and desires of those who lived within the walls.

Mar gratefully agreed. Turning over, he closed his eyes. "Riding always tired me. Wake me when the sun sets."

Kalri closed her eyes to sleep. She did not worry about waking when the sunset. She always knew when it did. Closing herself off to the thoughts of those outside she drifted slowly to sleep.
After a couple of hours, she woke to see the sun just beginning it's dip below the horizon. She reached out to Mar's mind, knowing it would be dangerous to attempt to wake him physically. 'Mar. It's sunset.' She awaited for him to stir.

Mar woke suddenly to the touch in his mind. Drawing his knife, he looked about the room. He relaxed when he saw Kalri sitting there unharmed. Sheathing his knife, he stood. "You're ready then, I take it." He smiled at her, stretching his back.

"I think so." She looked a little strange. "Mar? Is what I am wearing alright?" she didn't know how to dress to go outside of the castle. There she always wore her black or brown leather camisole, pants and boots.

Mar looked at her, judging her attire. "Well, if you wore a proper dress, I think you would fit in much better. Here," he said, pulling a dress from his bag and tossing it to her. "It should fit."

Kalri took the dress that he gave her. Removing her clothes she put the dress on in front of him. Looking to him she asked, "Are you sure this looks alright? Where am I supposed to keep my sword?"

Mar didn't bother to turn his eyes when she undressed. He had seen many women before, why should she be any different? "Your sword will have to stay behind. I will give you some daggers to put in choice places." He handed her a bundle, containing some daggers and a cloak.

Kalri didn't even think about disrobing in front of Mar. Growing up in the castle, she had always disrobed in front of whoever was assigned to help her dress. Taking the weapons from Mar, she began to put them in various locations within the dress. Taking her pack, she pulled out her throwing knives and their mini sheaths. Attaching them to her thighs, she made to leave then stopped suddenly. Returning to the knives, she took one last knife, smaller than the others. She looked at it for a minute then placed inconspicuously within her cleavage. Looking at Mar she simple smiled. "What? A girl can never be too careful!"
