Hiendall couldn't find a way to get out of the tavern without those riders seeing him. He didn't even know if they would recognize him or care if a person left but he didn't want to risk it.He ordered a small meal and waited for an idea.

Marola listened with intrest to Balthazar's story. She never knew elves would banish one of their own over such a trivial matter as a game of riddles. But then, she knew very little of the elvish culture. She only knew what she could gather the few times she could speak with her friend Nerasa, and those times were very rare indeed. "Perhaps you may have known my mother. Her name was Gloriana. If..." she hesitated for a second, "if the name does not fall in your memory, I have a small fairth of her, inside a locket that belonged to her, if you would wish to see it."

"Well in fact that name does come to memory. If it is the same elf women we both speak of then I must say your mother was one of the most noble elves I ever met. I only spoke with her a few times but those few times were enough for me to know that any man that won her heart was lucky indeed. You should be proud to have one such as her bring you life." replied Balthazar when Marola had finished.
Balthazar reached out with his mind to find Silva.
Silva, are you rested enough for a small trip. I have an idea.
I think so, as long as I can rest a little on the way, why?
you will see.
"I was wondering if you would like to come with me. I have something to show you that you may find interesting. You see, at my home in Tierm I have something I believe is rightfully yours. It was something your mother entrusted to me before she left...although I did not know she was leaving at the time...and she told me that I should keep it until someone came to claim it. That was almost 50 years ago now and I think I am supposed to give this thing to you."

As Balthazar spoke, Marola felt a desparate longing rise up in her. She always wished to know as much as she could about her mother, since she had never known her growing up. Rauthr quickly spoke to her. Think carefully before accepting, Marola, he told her, Do not be so quick to trust. Have I ever truly trusted anyone? she asked him, Besides you, of course. But I do not think he means me any harm. And... she faltered. You wish to know as much about your mother as you can, Rauthr finished for her. I understand. But again I say, be cautious. I know. Marola smiled at the elf before her. "I would love to acompany you if you have or know anything that would help me to better know my mother," she told him.

"Terrific. Then let us be off." Balthazar said as he stood. He stretched and turned and it was then that he noticed the man who he had seen earlier. He walked over to the man and looked at him for a second.
"If your thinking of what I think you are then you should give it up. You would do well to remember were you are and the the king is only a few hundred yards away. Just a fair warning."
Balthazar then turned and walked back out into the rain and out of the city to where Silva was waiting, looking back to make sure that Marola was still following after every few hundred yards.

Marola watched the interaction between Balthazar and the stranger before going outside. She threw her hood over her head again and followed the elf through the streets. Rauthr, come meet us. I'll show you where when we get there. Rauthr agreed

Balthazar stopped in just outside the city and Silva landed a few yards away. He mounted her and waited for Rauthr. When Marola had mounted her dragon Silva took off and headed toward Tierm.
(ooc: im gonna do a little time skip to when we land outside Tierm)
Balthazar and Silva landed just outside Tierm and waited for Marola and Rauthr. Ounce they had landed he dismounted his stead and walked through the gates towards his house, making sure he did not lose Marola on the way. Ounce inside his home Balthazar lead Marola to a room that was up two flights of stairs and on the left. He opened the door to reveal a brilliantly furnished room with no windows. He walked over to a cabinet and opened it. From it he took a small object wrapped in cloth and handed it to Marola.
"This is the thing I think your mother would have wanted you to have."

Marola took the object carefully, unwrapping the cloth around it. It was a small scroll, tied closed with crimson thread. She opened it and read it, her face inscrutable. For a long time she was silent, even after she finished reading. Then she rolled it back up and looked at Balthazar. "Did you ever read this?" she asked softly.

Hiendall smiled not caring in the least of the elves warning. He waited until night and went out. He hopped the large gate and made it to the area he saw. He started to climb and it took him a while to get to the first window. He fell in quietly cautiously walked the hallways. He then realized his mistake in coming at night since why would anyone be up at the time.

Diana was quietly sweeping in the hallways of the palace, going about her work late at night. She found that was one of the best times to do her work, for it gave her time to think by herself. She looked up suddenly when she heard footsteps echoing in the halls. "Hello?" she called out, "Who's there?"

Hiendall swore at himself for tripping on the stones and making a noise. When some girl called he shook his head t what he would have to do. He pulled out his swords and stalked the halls. He found the girl looking in the direction of here he was just before. He stalked up behind her and lput his sword across her neck,"Don't even try to scream or so much as move your lips or you'll be dead on the spot. I wish I didn't have to do this but all servants of the Empire have to die especially if they mess up my plan,"he whispered.

Diana stood stock-still when she felt the sword on her neck. Her hand went to the dagger she kept hidden on her person, though she didn't pull it out. She wasn't afraid of dying, as she lived with the possiblity ever day of her life, but she didn't want to die because it was thought that she was loyal to Galbatorix. Who is this guy, and what is he doing here? she thought.

Hiendall couldn't bring himself to kill her...yet.He pulled her toward a closet whispering,"You will inform me about what is happening."

Diana hardened herself as he dragged her toward a closet. "Do I look like one of the rich, all-knowing nobles to you?" she asked him in a whisper, knowing that they were too near some sleeping quarters to be comfortable enough to talk aloud. "What could I possibly know that would intrest you?"

"This is exactly the reason I'm asking you.Nobles pretend they know something while the servants have all power. You are most likely allowed around everybody and they probably don't give a care if your their and talk the whole time so spill."He pushed his sword forward a little to draw some blood.
