Ismrolde watched as the crazy-friend-enemy-big-hair-furless-elf jumped like a rabbit into a hole in the ground. She landed almost on top of him and told Tismri, I've got him cornered. You can come drag him out if you come over here. Thanks, old friend, Tismri said, running like an elf to where the copper dragon was standing guard. "Deloi, risa," she commanded, lifting the dirt off from around the buried elf. "For that, you get no more honey for the rest of the week," she told him.

Kaylayn was laughing until she told him his punishment,"Hey thats my honey you can't do that. Its not fair. I'll get my honey if I want," he said and then stuck his tongue at her.He sounded like a little kid the whole time and he laughed when he considered that he had made a fool of himself.

Tismri laughed at him, merriment bursting from her. "You are such a hatchling," she said, moving to help him out of the hole.

Eridor stiffled his snarls, but his scales refused to lye down. He was agitated that he had to be reprimanded, but he would not object when the reprimand came from one like Ismrolde. Eventually, the elf was dealt with, and he and Tismri left. A moment later, after speaking a little to Nasuada, Elaine left the pavilion and went to him.
"Well, that was interesting." She said to the gray dragon. Indeed. Jumping up, Elaine grabbed one of Eridor's neck spikes and pulled herself into the saddle. "Come on," she said, "I need to clear my head." Feeling the same, Eridor crouched, and then leapt into the sky. I suddenly feel very young, and very weak. he said, thinking of the elf and of Ismrolde and Tismri. Now that Tismri and Ismrolde are here, I now realize how hopeless our quest to stop Galbatorix was. You and I, we could never have stopped him. Elaine was surprised by Eridor's bout of pessimism. Curling her hand into a fist, she pounded one of his neck scales, which, in flight, had smoothed back over his neck.
I never want to hear you speak in such a way again. she commanded, her mental voice furious. We can beat Galbatorix. Even if it were just you and I, we would beat him. And never say otherwise! Eridor huffed a sigh.
I'm sorry. You're right. Calming, Elaine settled down in the saddle and tried to enjoy the flight. Eridor, high in the sky, passed over Tismri and Kaylayn.

"hey I am over four centuries in age and I deserved to be treated like and adult," Kaylayn put on a defiant pose but couldn't hold it and laughed. He accepted her help and popped out of the hole just in time to see the rider and dragon pass."Hey you mind if I use my new power on them," he looked at Tismri pleadingly.

"It depend," Tismri said, "will it injure, scare, or most likely kill them? I don't want to treat people like that, you know."

"Just a small scare," he put his fingers to tell her how small.Kaylayn could hardly hold his excitement in when his plan formed in his head.

"Ah, but when he gets over his fright, Eridor will probably be angry at you." Tismri paused and glanced at Kaylayn. "You do know that an angry dragon is dangerous, don't you?" she asked.

"Not as dangerous as mooning the queen and I've done that too," he laughed happily for a second."So is that a yes?"

Tismri's eyes widened at Kaylayn's statement. "You did not! Islanzadi? And you're still alive? You are a most fortunate elf indeed."

"Yes I am but it was a fun occasion and I wouldn't take it back no matter what." Kaylayn started chanting knowing Tismri would stop him if she wanted to.Suddenly a speck appeared in the sky then it grew larger and suddenly Galbatorix and Shruiken came after Eridor.Shruiken blew fire and when the fake flames blew over those two the illusion disappeared.Kaylayn burst out laughing at the perfection of his plan.

Elaine's eyes widened as a massive black dragon suddenly materialized before them. Upon its back sat a brooding, dark man. In an instant, she knew it was Galbatorix and the dragon, Shruikan. "Eridor!" Eridor roared, half shock, half anger. He would have went to confront the duo, but the dragon suddenly spewed flames at him and Elaine. Growling, Eridor barrel rolled, avoiding the current of fire. When he leveled off, the dragon was gone. Elaine's heart beat wildly from the fright of the evil kings sudden appearence. Eridor, however, did not seemed scared, but annoyed. What was that! she asked him, frantic.
That, rumbled Eridor, was tht monster of an elf. A picture flashed in Elaine's mind, and she saw Kaylayn laughing madly. Blinking, she looked below and saw with her own eyes the laughing elf. Before her anger could even settle in, Eridor dove down, wrenching her in the saddle. What are you doing!? she shouted.
I am going to kill him. Eridor's dive gained speed and momentum, and he drew closer to the elf.

Kaylayn looked up from his laughter to see Eridor expectedly was flying towards him."Now its time to see what I can really do," his laughetr all gone but a hint of a smile lay on his mouth.Kaylayn started muttering in the ancient language and after a few seconds his spell was complete and waiting for Eridor to trigger it.

Nearly ten feet left before Eridor collided with the ground, he flared his stormy wings, halting his spiraling dive to glide a few feet above the earth. Reaching out with his talons, he reached for Kaylayn, ready to take the crazy elf into the air and tear him to pieces. Atop him, her hair blown all around her face, Elaine struggled to dispatch her dizziness from Eridor's sudden maneuver. When she realized his plans, all she could do was sit tight and hope nothing ill came of it. Careful Eridor, we don't want to negate his oath. Remember, he said he would not harm the varden or the elves unless we harmed him?
Yes, but he harmed us first. What if you had not been strapped into the saddle when I rolled to avoid his imaginary fire? You could have fallen to your death! He will die for such insolence! Trying to reason with him now would be hopeless, so Elaine gritted her teeth and gripped the neck spike before her.
