The scene was becoming tense, and Elaine was afraid Marola was going to attack. No doubt Eragon could fend for himself, but a fight was really not a good idea, considering all the dragons and riders about who would pounce on Marola if she dared. There would only be pieces left of her and her dragon. She was shocked, though, when Saphira leapt into the sky, abonding Eragon. Elaine could not fathom the reasons of a dragon, but was even more surprised when Eragon gave a soft apology to Marola. What did he have to be sorry for? Marola was being the hostile one. Before the situation could grow worse, Elaine spoke up. "That is enough, rider Marola. I don't think you should meet with Nasuada, not if you can hardly control yourself before one of our riders." **** Eridor had never heard of Marloa or Rathr before. What Stigandr said of them must be true. Saphira entered the sky then, her saphira scales glinting in the sunlight. Eridor held a deep respect for her. She had accomplished much since her hatching. This was only the third time he'd seen her, or Eragon. The two were constantly on the move. Although, now that the varden had begun marching against the Empire, they were need more.

Marola could hardly keep from glaring at everyone around her. And what was Eragon apologizing to her for? Mocking her? He would have a lot more to be sorry for when she was done with him. Rauthr reached for her mind. Calm yourself, Rola, he said gently, Think of Cortell. Don't do anything foolish, or else he will miss you, his mother. Marola calmed, but purposefully kept from looking at Eragon. "I apologize for my behavior," she told Elaine, slowly relaxing her grip from her hidden blade. "As I have promised, I shall harm no one. But" she glared in Eragon's general direction, "after I am finished here, perhaps you shall understand my reaction to him." She glanced at Zak for a moment, then back to Elaine. "If you will please lead, I shall control myself now. I don't want to extend this any longer than you, I am sure."

Zak's arms and legs tensed as Marola and the Varden riders, including Eragon, conversed. Zak could barely keep himself contained. He wanted to kill everyone around him except Marola and Rauthr. His outrage toward their hostility towards Marola made his veins pulse; he gripped the hilt of his sword, about to whip it out of its sheath. He pulled it out halfway before Cortell's little face popped into his mind. If I do this, Marola will surely die and Cortell... A single tear traveled down Zak's cheek. His emotions fought inside his mind, fighting for control.

Einar was surprised to see Eragon and Saphira appear. He had heard that they returned and were in the castle now, but he assumed that they would have made camp near the main army. Feeling an attack from Marola, his hand was instantly at that the hilt of his left blade, ready to stop her. He watched the conversation tensely, and was slightly surprised at Eragon's apology. (OOC: I forgot if Einar knows about Marola's past or not...so to be safe, I'm gonna say no...lol).
Einar was glad for Elaine's interference. He watched as Marola calmed down and so he removed his hand from his hilt. He watched as the bodyguard shed a small tear. What is he crying for? he wondered and waited for Elaine to lead the way. There was no way in hell that he was leaving Marola alone.
*** Stigandr's tail flicked in the air when he saw the first of their generation. Saphira's scales danced before his silver eyes. He was in awe by watching the graceful dragon and his eyes never left her as she took to the skies. He had never seen her or Eragon before, but rumors and tales of their journey and battles reached their ears since the moment she had escaped from Uru'bean (sp?). Besides Gladia, Stigandr thought she was the most beautiful of the dragons.

OOC: that's a good question. I don't know if he knows either. I know Tyr knew, but I'm not sure if she ever told Einar. I guess you can decided whether or not you want him to know. lol. And you switch the e and the a in Uru'baen. Otherwise, it sounds like a food. I'm eating uru beans!!! lol.
Marola glanced back at her bodyguard, sensing that he was having a hard time controlling himself. She couldn't blame him, really. She wanted to kill everyone there, too, but she didn't. Just do your job, Zak, she thought, Anyone who wants to harm me has to go through you. Just don't make the first move.

After consulting quickly with Eridor, Elaine said, "Fine. Come with me. But I warn you, try anything and you're dead." Turning, she marched into the castle. The guards that had come with her parted, some staying to watch over the horseman, and the others to accompany the enemy. As Elaine walked, her back prickled with unease. She hated having it exposed to enemies. However, she trusted Einar to guard her back. He had proven himself loyal. Her steps brisk, she took a long route to Nasuada, taking many turns and stairs. If ever Marloa wanted to come back and assassinate the varden leader, she would hopefully have a hard time of finding her way back. Eventually they reached the door leading to Nasuada. Two kull Nighthawks stood outside, their thick arms crossed over their chests. At the sight of the coming group, the oversized urgals placed hands on their weapons and drew them. One spoke in a rasping voice. "Who goes there? Who wishes to disturb Lady Nightstalker?"
Elaine saluted the kull, raising her head to bare her throat. "It is I, rider of Stormwing. I bring a woman who wishes to consult with Lady Nasuada." The kull looked past Elaine to Marola.
"You may pass." The two kull stepped aside. One knocked heavily on the door and shouted, "Rider Elaine with company." he announced to those within. Elaine nodded to him, then stepped to the door and let herself in. Nasuada sat behind her writing desk, hands folded atop the mahogany surface. Her dark eyes looked inquiringly at Elaine. Behind Nasuada were two elves, and there were two dwarfs at the corners of the desk. Elaine bowed to her leader. "My lady, a rider from the empire has seeked an audience with you. She has vowed to bring you nor the varden any harm during her current visit." Stepping aside, Elaine revealed Marola. ****
Nasuada inconspicuously slipped her hands underneath the desk and gripped the dagger at her side. She disliked audiences with any sort of enemy, especially riders. They had been devious in the past. "What is it you have come here for, rider of Galbatorix." she said, her rich voice ringing forth.

(OOC- Uhhh... Backubuth, Eragon was leaving right after apoligizing. He has to report in. He wouldn't stay and converse uless he thought that the others couldn't handle Morola)
Saphira landed again and allowed Eragon to climb on. He grumbled to himself as they flew to where he could easily reach Nasuada before the rest got there. He stopped in front of the kull gaurds.

Marola followed Elaine through the castle. This was the first time she had ever been in its interior, except for a short time while she was stealing Rauthr's egg. Had she not had a good sense of direction, she would probably have gotten lost. When she came face to face with the leader of the Varden, she saw that Nasuada was a young woman, even younger than Marola was. But she was hardened by battle and years of hard work, and also by the responsibility of leading a large group of people. After a few moments' silence, she replied to Nasuada's question. "I am here to speak with you, and nothing more. Surely you would appreciate knowing who your enemies are? I have hidden in the shadows for far too long." As she spoke, she tossed her hood back, letting her long red hair fall free from inside, the black streak like a raven's feather in her locks. Then she took the sword from her side, then the daggers and blade from her back, holding them out to Elaine to show she meant no harm. She glanced at the other Rider. "These are all the weapons I carry with me," she told her, "except for my magic, which I cannot part with."

OOC: lol...beans...lol
Before entering the large castle, Einar glanced up at Stigandr. Watch Rauthr.... Stigandr huffed. Of course! You think I would go and take a nap now!? He sounded insulted and annoyed. Einar rolled his eyes and walked in after Marola and the bodyguard.
* Einar followed silently and drew to the back as Marola stood forward to address Lady Nasuada. He watched her carefully as she removed her weapons. He raised an eyebrow. All it takes is magic... He thought gruffly, knowing too well how King Galbatorix trained his assassins. Now on guard more than ever, he readied himself with a list of spells that could counter the majority of other spells. It was better to be safe than sorry.

After being let into the room, Eragon quickly took up a post behind Lady Nasuada. If Morola tried anything he was ready.

Marola glanced around at all the tense faces surrounding her, knowing they were expecting her to pounce at any moment. "I see I am still not trusted," she said, eyes narrowed, "Fine, then. Eka weohnata neiat haina ono, Nasuada, un onr Shur'tugalar. I will not harm you or your Riders during my visit here, unless of course, I am attacked first. And by the looks on some of your faces, I believe that is entirely possible."

With some apprehension, Nasuada watched the rider disarm herself. When she thought the last blade had been revealed, another was sliding from a hidden sheath. The woman must be a truly remarkable warrior armed as she was. When all weapons were laid down, Nasuada studied the rider for a moment longer. While she did so, the door to her study opened once more to admit Eragon. The sight of him seemed to always brighten her mood. Perhaps it was just releif that he was still alive, with the varden. That Saphira had hatched for him and not for anyone under Galbatorix. Of course, she reminded herself, Saphira was no longer the only dragon in existance. If once the race once felt threatened to extinction, they should feel safe now. As far as Nasuada knew, though, there were far more male dragons than female. The empire rider spoke then, bringing Nasuada back to the moment at hand. "Fear not, rider, my warriors will not attack unless for good reason. Now, say what you have flown all this way for."

Eragon watched Morola carefully. Calm yourself Eragon. She will not attack unless prevoked. said Saphira. How much prevoking will she take before she does? he answered wondering. if even the slightest interfearence on his part was enogh it may not be the best thing for him to be there.

Einar sighed. Marola was dramatic as always. He didn't speak though, knowing that it would embarrass Nasuada. It was then he sensed some other presences behind him...almost masked by its stealth. Einar turned his head slightly to see three individuals emerge inside the room. His eyes narrowed as he noticed that two were elven and the other was human. He gaped at the elves, wondering who they were.
* Arya felt the tension in the room. Her eyes darted quickly to the threat and then at Nasuada. She gave out a mental sigh. We've been gone for a few weeks in Ellesmera and this is what happens...She knew that this rider and her companion would not be foolish enough to attack with so many powerful warriors here. However, despite that fact, she would not risk it. Lithely, she walked over to Nasuada's side, as her usual defender. Her eyes flickered towards Eragon for a brief moment and then at the woman.
* Faolan waded near the back of the room as he watched Arya move to Nasuada's side. Jade was perched on his arm, while Tara was near the other. She seemed to glanced at him quizzically, perhaps wondering the same thing he was: What did this woman want?
* Tara remained silent as she assessed the situation. They had heard that an Imperial Rider had come and came quickly to defend Nasuada before any attack could be made. She shuffled on Faolan's side, still trying to feel comfortable around the elf. She remembered some things when she saw him outside the castle walls a few months back...when that magician had caused so much trouble. She recognized Faolan's voice instantly...for it was always in her dreams, but could remember nothing else, despite their attraction towards one another. Faolan explained their relationship...and her last mission. They soon went to the Elven realm with Arya to relay their situation and Islanzdi's movement against King Galbatorix, where she experienced meeting the elves. Some seemed to recognize her and yet she could recognize none. Tara tried to get them to fix her memory loss. They told her that they were unable to repair the mental damage, for it was some things that the mind must learn for itself. And since then, Tara was remembering little things after little things.
Tara pushed her thoughts aside as she watched the female Rider. She looked at Faolan, wondering what the woman wanted. The two watched in silence.

Creel shook his head as he waked away when the female rider was taken into the castle. No sense in being so hostile in our own territory. If she attacks, she can't win the fightanyway. I don't think she'd be so stupid. He sighed and looked over at the green dragon and said to Ciraph, He kicked our butts all over the place when we escaped from Uru'baen....if it does happen to come to a fight, we'll need to be careful. Agreed Ciraph said in Creel's mind,But, I doubt it will come to that. Yeah, I know Creel said, laughing and walking forward through the whole group, actually moving towards the dragon. He walked right up to him and stopped, looking up at him with a grin on his face. "Hello, there," he said,"I believe we've met before, haven't we?" What are you doing?! Ciraph asked Creel in alarm. Oh, settle down. I'm trying to be friendly to hep disarm some of the tension here! Let me work!
