This follows on two years from The Wrathe of Tia

Nula dove and weaved, fending of imagined attacks, Tia clinging onto her back with all her might.
The brown dragon crashed to a landing outside Nasuada's pavilion, the red-butterfly-chrysalis-tent fluttered as her wings buffeted the camp.
Tia made sure that her artificial eye and arm were still functional. She would never forget when that flame less lantern blew up on the left side of her body. The explosion went everywhere, taking her arm with it.
"Right, NIGHTHAWKS!" she yelled, climbing down from Nula's back. "Nasuada wants the scout report." Re, Tia's pet Kestrel, flew to rest on her shoulder.
The Nighthawks let her inside.
"Nasuada!" She cried, directly interrupting Jormunder. "The laughing dead! They come swiftly from the north-east!"
Hurry! Nula roared.

Gidion was in the back of nasuadas pavilion when a young rider came in Yelling about the laughing dead he shot up ran out the door and on to basil to the north-east he yells to the rider are you coming?

[Jay]

Jaygon stepped out of the tent that was beside Nasuada's red pavilion. He had monitoring all that had been going on inside to protect Nasuada. "Gidion! What's going on out there?" Jaygon called from the ground.

Jaygon! Turma mentally yelled. The laughing dead have returned!

Jaygon's eyes went wide. "Guard gather the troops to defend against the laughing dead. Anyone who is unable to fight must be rounded up in the Southern most part of the camp. Go!" he shouted.

"Yes sir!"

Tia lept to Nular's back, gripping the ivory spike in front of her. 'To the sky!' She yelled with mind and voice. 'We must stop Galbatorix's trickery! Before they reach us.' Tia remembered how the laughing dead, men who felt no pain, were sent to keep the varden preoccupied whilst Thorn and Murtagh attacked. She sent this warning with her mind to Trianna.

The young rider right behind him jaygon giving orders he and basil racing twoards the mass of warriors on there way towards the camp they will be hard to kill he said but good thing there is only a small amount basil took a steep dive gidion pulled out his sword basil pulled up just in time while flliping upside down so the men fased gidion he wiped his sword around loping off heads of the men making a dent in there formation he sprung from the saddle in to the gap ready for the onslaught of men to come is time for galbatoix to know my name he ran throughout the hordes men slashing dismantiling everyone till he had about a 20ft circle around him he said a strung of word in the anchient language what happened next just made him laugh the ground turned to quick sand the men felt nothing and just kept sinking until all that was left was a rung of quick sand he raised his hand and the land returned to the same well that was fun and off he went to Slay more men.

Tia lept from Nula's back, staff in hand. Swinging left, right and centre, she sent bursts of fire flying from the enchanted weopon.

[Jay]

Jaygon looked at all the men women and children that had been gathered in the Southern most part of the camp. Gathering his strength he began to speak in the ancient language. As he was speaking Jaygon began to do a series of strange hand motions ending in a clap which echoed throughout the camp. A large dome of bright white light came up from the ground and surrounded the people in a dome like structure. After it met at the top it became nearly invisible.

"This seal is designed to keep things out not in. You must understand that if any of you leave this protective shield you will not be able to go back inside," Jaygon shouted before turning about to go join the fight.

Tia ducked and smashed a man's head in with the end of her staff. "Nular! Try and attack from behind, take them by surprise!"

[Jay]

Jaygon ran towards a group of soldiers and shouted, "Brisingr!" The laughing dead became charcoal which floated away in the wind. Jaygon disappeared for a second and reappeared behind three of the laughing dead whose decapitated heads rolled off their necks. He quickly turned to his right and sliced clear through a soldier's sword and proceeded to stab his heart which killed him almost instantly. Jaygon snapped his fingers and the next group that rushed incinerated into ash.

Gidion went through the men but found littel resistance he thought in his mind why would galbatorix send these men that can be killed with magic so easily there must be something else he contacted jaygon and told him his thoughts keep your eyes and mind open.

Tia tried a trick she had learnt with the dwarves, but never had a chance to practice before. Consentrating very hard, she slit a man's Aorta with her mind, causing 20 seconds of blood pouring from every pore, before finally expiring.
"Woah!" Tia stared at the victim of her gruesome spell.
A soldier came up behind her and stabbed her through the left side of her back.
Tia froze, the pain was blinding. She stumbled forward, the sword pulling as it slid out of her back.
She whipped around, the wound stinging. "Situs invertus." Was all she said as she crushed the man's skull with her bare hands. "When all the organs in your body are reversed." Her heart was on the right side, instead of left.

[Jay]

Jaygon pulled out his second sword and combined it with the other using the Ancient Language to give him a dual bladed sword. No soldier could get close enough to Jaygon to swing his weapon. Jaygon wasted no time as he ran through the masses of laughing dead cutting off their heads as he went. "Those who do not fear pain, have no right to inflict it upon others... Those who do not fear the sword they wield, have no right to hold it..." Jaygon said as he dodged a strike from a war hammer and slit the man's throat. Suddenly a strange feeling began to well up inside him and he began to cough uncontrollably.

Jaygon stared in horror at the ground which was now stained with blood that he had coughed up. He put his hand to his mouth as he continued to cough spewing blood over his hands. Jaygon's knees became weak and he had to kneel down unable to move. A ring of soldiers began to move in around him. As the ring became smaller and smaller Jaygon thought, No! Not now! Why now! My vision is blurring, this isn't good! Why did it have to happen now? Why?

Tia turned on her heel, already mending her wound. "What the-" She ran across the battle to Jaygon.
She sent burning embers flying from her staff, rendering the soldiers blind and they began to stumble around.
Screaming for help, she looked up and saw Nula landing over them.
The Mahogany-coloured dragon sent any soldier who came near to his grave.

[Jay]

"T... Tia? Nul... Nula? Is it you two? Quickly you must get my mask it has a s... special enchantment on it. P... Please get... Get my mask. Please," Jaygon said weakly as he went into a coughing fit. He collapsed upon the ground spewing blood from his mouth. Using the energy of some shrubs nearby he quickly made more blood in his heart so he wouldn't die from blood loss. Jaygon attempt to get up off the ground but collapsed.

Turma appeared above them roaring and spewing smoke from her nostrils. Her white scales became stained red as she cut through the enemy ranks. She flooded the area just left of Jaygon with her flame causing soldiers to become ash. No one would hurt her Rider ever again!

Jaygon forced himself to stand though every fibre of his being urged him to do the opposite. He picked up his blade and held it ready. "I have to get my mask and fast otherwise I won't last the battle, but it's to far for me I would die on my way... Tia I need to ask a favor of you. Could you tear yourself away from the battlefield to grab my mask from the tent directly beside Nasuada's pavilion?"

Gidion noticed what was going on he made his way over to jaygon "Go! Get his mask I'll keep him alive till then Go! hurry" Gidion turned and fought off some more of the men he would not let jaygon die even if it took his life. He cast a spell to draw energy to keep jaygons blood level high enough to keep him conscious and also a safety sheald even though he probably had thousands of wards. Then turned to fight " basil torch the men they can't feel it but they still die if u cook then." Basil then let a white hot flame destroy the men in front of him. When he was done only one man remained a shade Gidion pulled up his sheald both mind and body. This will be fun basil keep the men from jaygon I'll hold off the shade. then he contacted Dana and Du vangar gata i need help come quick and alone he walked forward the shade materialized a double handed sword they ran at each other and metal clashed.

Dana got gidions message and did as told. she met another 7 magicians toward the battle and they ran as fast as humanly possible to where the fight was. When they got there it was a horrifying sight jaygon alive but looking horrible Gidion was fighting a man no not a man a Shade!! Basil was fighting of the laughing dead. She told 4 of the people to help jaygon and the other three to follow and help Gidion. They locked minds and then with Gidion and basil they lent there power to him to do with what he like.
