OOC: Time for Rashid to get some action! lol
Rashid blurred into the trees as he gingerly hunted food for his tribe. He crouched near some bushes, hiding safely next to a dry tree stump as he spotted his prey. Time had passed since Kunin had been welcomed back to the tribe, and since then, Rashid now donned more tattoos. The tribal decorum snaked around his body now, all the way to his neck, indicating his rising rank. Rashid knew perfectly well that he had always been capable of earning his facial markings for years now, but always avoiding getting mark, knowing that it meant he would have to speak more, marry, and take a vital role in the tribe's hierarchy, if not all of the above. He hated politics and wanted only to wander and hunt with his best friend, Cirilai. At the thought of her, his mood dimmed.
He noted the time by the shadows all around him; he had been gone for almost 5 hours. He mentally sighed. He had been spending more time away from the tribe, having felt isolated and lonely ever since his best friend became betrothed to Kunin. He was happy for them, of course, but they soon had fewer time together, and now, Rashid missed his best friend. Not wanting to make them feel uncomfortable, Rashid decided to take on more missions and tasks so that he could have excuses to leave them be, as he kept his distance. He let out another mental sigh, as he tried to forget his depressing thoughts and concentrate on the hunt before him. He stared at the deer he had spotted, but then heard a sound off to his left, which caused the deer to bolt. Squinting, Rashid wondered what was approaching.

Iorruna stalked quietly through the forested parts of the Beor mountains. They were quite familiar to her, being near her home. She had finally returned after staying in the elves' Du Weldenvarden for so long. Although she was an elf by birth, she would always count herself among the dwarves that had raised her. She wasn't near anything that would prove challenging prey at the moment. There were just some deer and Feldunost herds nearby. She was tracking a Shrrg that had been making off with some of the goats recently. It was endangering the dwarves survival. And besides, its skin would make a nice rug. She wasn't paying much attention to where she was going for now, and as such, she wasn't moving as silently as she could have. She paused when some deer nearby bolted. She inhaled the wind, wondering if there was a predator nearby. The scent she caught surprised her; it was not animal, but human. She drew and arrow and nocked it, then strode forward until she spotted the man. He was an odd sight for a human, covered with markings. Her brow furrowed under her circlet, and--keeping her bow lowered but ready--asked, "Who are you, and what are you doing here?"

Rashid moved quickly as a feminine voice echoed in the air. His spear angled before him in a defensive position as he gazed at the new presence; even though he had heard her, he was surprised at how quickly she spotted him. Was she a hunter too? He studied her garb and weapons. It appeared so. He hid surprise when he thought he spotted her ears; they were oddly shaped...almost identical to those two Riders, Gianna and Marola, whom he had met when they helped trained the Gladia Celesti tribe. He wondered who the woman was. Rashid blinked at her questions. He pointed at the spot where the deer he had been hunting once was, and then glanced back at his spear, trying to communicate that he was out hunting, but still, not lowering his guard. He wasn't sure if this person meant harm, especially when her bow and arrow were ready to be loosed.

Iorruna glanced for a moment in the direction the man pointed, from which the deer she had been hunting bolted. She studied his spear, which seemed to be his hunting weapon. She nodded slowly in comprehension, but was annoyed that he hadn't said anything. "Well, that answers one question, I suppose," she said. She stayed where she was, still cautious. "But who are you?" She gripped her bow a bit more tightly, but her expression was more curious than anything. "You're near my family's property, so please explain yourself." She tried to be gentle, hoping he would talk instead of using those annoying gestures for her to attempt to translate.

Rashid rose an eyebrow at the woman. So, he had stumbled upon her property. He wasn't aware that the Beor Mountains were habited by any humans either than the dwarfs, or so legend had it. He had never seen one for himself, as it was rumored that they were deep in the Mountains, underground. He blinked again at her questions, a bit weary in disclosing his identity. He didn't want her to know about the tribe and their location. He momentarily thought of Cirilai. What would she do? Probably say "Its none of your business." and scamper off, or maybe have Chatura appear and threaten to eat her, or the more likely approach, would be him appearing and dragging her off before this woman had any time to process what had happened. He let out another mental sigh. He missed his friend, even all the times he had to rescue her from her troublesome adventures. Realizing that he still had to answer the woman's question, Rashid thought it best to explain things generally and vaguely.
As speaking was a rare event for Rashid, the young hunter carefully bent down to the ground. He was still on guard, should the woman fire her arrow, as he found a stick and wrote his name down in the dirt. He wrote his name in human runes; having learned the runes in order to communicate at a young age with traders and merchants. He finished writing and then pointed at his name, and then pointed at himself. I am Rashid. His gestures conveyed. He pointed at her, indicating his want of her name. He gestured back to his spear and then slowly took out one of his earlier kills, which was tied to his back waist. He lifted the dead rabbit up, indicating that he was hunting for food.

OOC: *bursts into hysterical laughter* Sorry, I know it's kind of an easy typo to make, but the thought of Cherilyn threatening to eat somebody is just hilarious. XD Cirilai and Chatura and Cherilyn and Cordelia are pretty easy to mess up.
Iorruna felt rather frustrated when the man went through a roundabout way to answer her question, writing his name in the dirt. Rashid...that sounded rather odd. She rolled her eyes and muttered a long string of words to herself in dwarvish. It vaguely crossed her mind that perhaps he couldn't talk. That thought also annoyed her, because she didn't want to have to keep communicating with him by interpreting his signs. "My name is Iorruna," she told him. "I am hunting as well. Wh--" Her next word was interrupted by two light howls nearby. She replied with words in the ancient language, and before too long, two young wolves appeared. She had rescued them some time ago as pups and raised them to help her hunt. "Well done, Hrorik. Well done, Evandar," she told them, still using the elven tounge. They had caught the scent of her prey. The Shrrg was not too far.

OOC: LOL! Thanks for the heads up on that! Man! I didn't realize that I did that! Trinn has too many characters that start with a "C" lol. but that is kinda funny...lol. i fixed it to dissolve my embarrassment. lol
Rashid tilted his head at the mention of her name. Iorruna. That is an interesting name. He muttered to himself as he furrowed his brow when she made some odd noises under her breath, unaware of the dwarven language. Rashid tensed when he heard howls. Wolves! He thought to himself and quickly went by Iorruna's side in a protective stance. His spear was at the ready when the wolves appeared. He glanced at her in confusion when she seemed to speak to them in a more smooth and airy noise than she had used before. He tentatively lowered his spear and pointed at her and then at the wolves. They are with you? He held a confused expression.

Iorruna glanced aside at Rashid, noticing his defensive stance and protective expression. Evandar growled protectively at him, noticing the dangerous spear. She spoke first to the wolves, feeling that Rashid likely wouldn't attack unless he felt threatened. "Hush, Evandar," she murmured to him in the elven language still. "This is Rashid. He is no threat to us...yet." She still wasn't sure if she trusted him, though. Then she spoke in the human tounge to Rashid as she explained. "These are my friends; I rescued them from an aggressive and dangerous wolf that had likely killed their mother. This is Evandar. And this is Hrorik." She stroked their heads in turn as she introduced them. "I named them after my fathers..." She knew that explanation would likely confuse him, but she didn't much feel like telling him everything about her life right now. "They have found what I hunt. We must be swift if we are to catch it." She eyed his spear for a moment, considering, and also thought of the rabbits and deer he hunted--rather pathetic prey, really. "Would you like to see a true hunter at work?" she asked him with a slight smile before springing off after the Shrrg.

Rashid blinked as he was introduced to the wolves. They were her pets. Hmm, that is different. He thought briefly, but smirked as he thought about Cirilai and Chatura. The relationship with the wolves didn't seem so strange after that thought. He tilted his head at the mention of a hunt. His eyes reflected a excitement at the invite. It had been awhile since he hunted with another. She sped off and Rashid briefly wondered if he should return to the tribe. Glancing over his shoulder, he thought of his friends. They would be fine...they had each other after all. Rashid snapped his head back toward Iorruna's retreating back, surprised at her agility. Speeding after her, Rashid stealthy followed, wondering all the while what she was hunting.

Iorruna followed after her wolves for a short while, and before long she was also able to catch its scent with her sensitive nose. She glanced at the huge tracks in the ground occasionally, but relied more on her other senses. "Wait here, friends," she called to the wolves in elvish. Hrorik and Evandar parted and looped back a bit, then stopped and sat. Iorruna knew that if they got too close, the Shrrg would tear them apart. They were pups in comparison to the monstrosity. She continued on a bit farther, then slowed and stopped, crouching against the bushes. Now her movements were absolutely silent as she gazed out into the clearing before her. There was the beast, lying down in the midst of some bones of various creatures. Some were large, and others small. The Shrrg was gnawing on one such bone. If she were to guess, Iorruna would say that is was the rib of a Nagra, the giant boar that were at home in these mountains. She raised a finger to her lips and glanced back at Rashid, indicating for him to be absolutely quiet. In this instance, she finally found herself glad he wasn't a talker. She waited a moment for him to take in the sight of the beast. Then she pointed at him, then at the high branches of the nearby trees. She hoped he knew how to climb. After she had indicated what she wanted him to do, she began gracefully mounting the ancient trunks herself until she was confidant that she was high enough that even stretched out at full length, the enormous wolf would not be able to reach her. Up there, Iorruna took a stance and readied her bow. She would need quick reflexes to take out the beast fast enough. One arrow was not going to cut it. The Shrrg was so large that it would take at least three shots directly to the head before it would be mortally wounded. She drew back and released her arrow.

Hagvar was out in the forrest looking for something big to eat when his foot sliped in to a hole. when he finaly looked at what he had fallen into he noticed that it was a foot print of a beast called the Shrrg if he could bring home a shrrg his clan would eat good for weeks of course it would not be easy so for the next hour he followed the tracks till he came to a clearing in wich the beast lay in a pile of bones he looked at its size it was 4 times bigger than him and he was big for a dwarf infact he was the tallest in his clan but he was still so small compared to the shrrg then at the other end of the clearing he saw two figures one a woman with a bow and then a man with a large spear the woman made some hand gestures then nocked an arrow knowing that the next few seconds where going to be a hard fought battel he hefted up his war ax and watched as the arrow was fired and he sprang into action with his ax lifted high

Rashid carefully followed his new found...friend? Was it safe to call her that? Rashid didn't know, but he followed her quietly as he practically glided over the foliage floor toward their destination. He rose a surprise eyebrow as he discovered what she had been hunting. A shrrg. He hadn't encountered one in a long time, and the last time, he had almost died, if not for Cirilai coming to his rescue. In his defense, though, he had already been wounded from some slavers that they had encountered the day before. Rashid glanced upward at the branch that Iorruna indicated. He nodded, and easily climbed upward. Once he was in a good position over the Shrrg, Rashid tensed and waited for Iorruna's signal to help if need be. He idly thought he saw someone down below, across from them, but his attention diverted when he spotted the Shrrg snort, as if sensing them. It lifted its noise to sniff the air...

Iorruna noticed too late the dwarf down below, and a multitude of thoughts crossed her mind. First off, that he was an idiot for getting so close to a Shrrg. Second, who was he? This land belonged to Durgrimst Vrenshrrgn, her own clan, and she was more than sure he did not belong with the and was thus imposing himself. Third, she more than furious that he seemed intent on attacking the object of her hunt with his ax. An ax! There was no way the thing would kill the creature quickly, unless he got a few well-aimed strikes at the neck. And even if he did, he was going to ruin her prize, the fur of the Shrrg. The blade of the ax was going to tear the skin and bloody the hair and generally utterly destroy her trophey. Aside from that, the wolf was her prey! By firing the shot, she had claimed it, and now this stranger was interfering. Obviously, the dwarf was not a hunter by trade or he would understand this and respect her hunt. It made her angry enough that she lowered her bow and just stood there watching. The strange dwarf walked into this; if he was unable to kill his prey, he deserved whatever happened to him. The arrow she had fired gracefully flew through the air, lowering slightly as it obeyed the pull of gravity. She had correctly anticipated the Shrrg's actions as it lifted its head to sniff the air. The head of the arrow embedded itself deeply into the soft nose of the creature, causing it to howl in pain and anger as it lifted itself from the ground to find what was attacking it.

Hagvar watched the arrow hit the shrrgs nose and thought that maybe this woman was huntting this so to preserve the pelt he fliped the ax backwords so it was like a war hammer. While he was doing that he ran up a bank close to the shrrgs head when closest to the beasts head he jumped off and brought the make shift hammer down on the shrrgs head and felf the beasts skull bust under the stranght of the blow. He stumbeld to the ground got back up pulled up his knife and plunged it in to the shrrgs lung for a fast death. Then he sat on a tree stump trying to chatch his breath.

Rashid watched as Iorruna shot our her arrow at the Shrrg. He was very impressed with her skill with the bow, but his admiration quickly faded as he spotted a dwarf yell. Tense and unsure of what was going on, Rashid could only watch as the dwarf proceeded to attack the Shrrg, in essence, prehaps, stealing Iorruna's kill? That seemed a bit unfair, but Rashid's attention was drawn back to Iorruna, wondering what she was thinking or if they should go and help the dwarf, who, in his opinion looked quite exhausted. OOC: Not my best post, but couldn't really think of a good response...
