Cadyren recoiled his hand when she called him Rider, but then stopped when A dragon landed next to her.
Before he asked the dragon his name Elyria introduced him,"This funny man behind me is Domia, the Jewel of Alagaesia."
Cadyren called Asaila down. She had wanted to meet another dragon and would kill him if he didn't invite her to join him.
<You got that right.> she replied to his thoughts.
The dragon Domia complained about how Elyria had introduced him then she commented on his lack of humor.
Just then Asaila swooped down, her shiny silver scales almost blinding him.
<Hello, I'm Asaila.> she said to Elyria and Domia.
Cadyren then compared Asaila's size and Domia's. He was just a much larger.

Elyria nodded slightly to the dragon. "Well met Asaila. You are beutiful, isn't she Domia?" Elyria raised an eyebrow at Domia as she saw the dragon watching the female intently.
Yes...very nice to meet you Asaila. Domia shot Elyria a warning glance.
She turned back to the rider. "I'm sorry but I still don't know your name." She smiled softly as she looked at him.

"I'm sorry but I still don't know your name." She smiled softly as she looked at him.
"Oh, my apologies, I am Cadyren." he replied.
Cadyren looked at Domia again to find him staring at Asaila.
<He seems to be taking a liking to you.> he said to her.
Asaila looked at him, <Maybe. As you know I haven't met any others of my race and don't know anything of the males. He does seem attractive though.>
Cadyren chuckled to himself. Asaila had fallen in love with the first Dragon she met. Cadyren then decided to ask Domia what he thought of Asaila And see how he reacted.
"So Domia, Asaila wishes to know what you think of her. Would you care to tell us?"

Domia looked at Cadyren. His eyes narrowed slightly as his neck extended. Elyria moved toward Cadyren, unsure what the dragon had planned. She put a hand on his arm as she watched Domia, ready to pull him away if the dragon was angered.
Domia blew a soft puff of smoke as he chuckled. He turned his attention back to Asaila as he strode around her in a tight circle. His eyes moved upon her as he took in her form. He stopped at her head as he held her within his gaze. She is truly the Jewel of Alagaesia. With that he turned sharply and with one massive stride, leapt into the air towards the Stone of Broken Eggs.
Elyria let out the breath she had been holding. Her body relaxed and she removed her hand from Cadyren. "I'm sorry," she told him. "I've never seen him act like that before."

Cadyren watched as Domia circled Asaila. He stopped at her head and said that she was the Jewel of Alagaesia. Then he took flight and headed in a direction that went toward the Stone of Broken Eggs.
Cadyren looked at Asaila to find her staring in toward Domia.
Behind him Elyria began to speak.
"I'm sorry," she told him. "I've never seen him act like that before."
Cadyren turned to her,"If you want, we can pursue him."

Elyria looked at Cadyren. "No...I think it best to let him be." She looked at Cadyren. "Would you like to join me for some breakfast?" She motioned toward the table set up with food for the training participants a little ways off. "Perhaps we could talk a while and you could tell me about yourself?"

Cadyren followed Elyria to the table.
<I think I should go, if I were caught here we would be exposed in a second.> said Asaila.
Cadyren watched as Asaila gracefully leaped into the air and soared to wards the nest he had helped her build.
He turned his attention back to Elyria,"So you want to know more about me? Well there isn't that much to tell. I spend most of my time out here, practicing my archery and sword skills so that I can help take down Galbatorix's empire. In my spare time I help the Blacksmith make armor or ride Asaila so that when we do reveal our selfs we will be ready to fight the other Riders. So as you can probably see, I have dedicated my life so that I will be able to make a difference in this war. Not that that's all I do. I go to Celebrations with the other Elves and have a good time, I just prefer to prepare myself for this war we are about to join."
Cadyren stopped and waited to see what Elyria had to say.

Elyria listened with interest at what he told her. She smiled as she shook her head in understanding. “I know you will make a difference. Anyone who takes a stand can make a difference.” She looked away from him for a minute, trying to decide what to tell him. Finally she took a deep breath. “I spend most of my time hunting. Domia and I have been after the King’s riders within the Empire territory for a while. I have a personal score to settle with Galbatorix.” She looked at Caydren, “Are you sure you want to know my story? It’s not pleasant and the King’s hand is imprinted throughout my life.”

Cadyren listened to what Elyria said.
"If you don't want to, then you don't have to tell me the rest," he said as he picked one of the fruits from the table,"I would like to know however, I'm a very curious person."
Cadyren took a bite from the fruit then waited to see what Elyria would say.

Elyria smiled softly. “I don’t mind.” She told him as she began her tale. “I was raised by wonderful parents, Natal and Hern in Ceunon. They found me when I was a baby on the trail between Kuasta and Ceunon. It hasn’t been long since I found out about my birth parents and the rest of my family.” She took a deep breath as she played with a piece of bread on her plate. “My mother, Shi’nil was to be High Priestess of the Seithr Coven. My aunt, her twin sister Nashante, had high ambitions. Before she could put her plans in place, Nashante was taken by Galbatorix and forced to bear him a blood heir, my cousin Kalri.
After Nashante bore Kalri she returned to find that my mother had fallen in love with an elven warrior, Baeldre. The left their lives behind after being shunned by both the coven and the elves of Ellesmeara. The coven is a group of assassins who frequently carry out assignments for Galbatorix. They do not take mates for life, only to increase their numbers and then only the daughters remain with them.
Shi’nil and Baeldre lived for almost a year in love and had two daughters, twins. Myself and my sister Aethelwyne. Nashante took over as High Priestess and one night had a vision. She told Galbatorix of twins that would be born that would have great power. He ordered the babes taken. Nashante and the witches murdered my mother just after she had given birth. My father managed to escape with me and hid me on the trail before going back to face the witches. He was slain, his heart broken. Aethelwyne was taken in and raised as an assassin by the coven, I was raised by my adoptive parents and joined the Varden to right the wrongs in Alagaesia. My sister since has married Taran Shadeslayer and they have recently given birth to twins. They have lived here in safety since the babes births. Galbatorix wants the children for god only knows what. I am here visiting them at the present.” She took a deep breath and looked at him. “I’m sorry. That was the short version.” She laughed softly as she waited for his response.

Cadyren looked at Elyria,"Your story is much more interesting then mine. Nothing like that has ever happened to me. My whole life is this forest. Your life seems more real then mine.I don't envy everthing though. I would not wish for my father to die."

Elyria looked away from him. "I wish I could have known my father. I feel close to him here." She took the ornate silver bow with the emerald fletched arrows in the quiver from the ground. "This is what I have of my father." She held the bow out to him.

Cadyren examined the bow. It looked beautiful compared to his.
"Well it seems he knew a good bow when he saw one." said Cadyren,"It makes mine look like a piece of rotten wood."
Cadyren pulled out his own bow,no color and few carvings, and held it next Elyrias.
"See?' he asked.

Elyria smiled as she took his bow into her hands. She looked it over well then rose, pulling one of her arrows from the quiver in the table. She nocked the arrow and drew the string back to her earlobe. Her eyes ran down the shaft of the arrow and locked onto the target across the field. She saw the center as if it jumped out to sit on the tip of the arrow. She drew a breath and let the arrow fly as she let it out slowly. She hit the target dead center.
The smile spread on her face as she handed the bow back to Cadyren. "It is a fine bow. She shoots straight and true!"

Cadyren watched her shoot the arrow into the target.
"I was commenting on the appearance. When I made that bow I put so many spells into it I would hope it would hit the target." he said, smiling.
