Tezza looked to be in incredible pain as she touched the dragon. Jason stood by, not interfering. He knew enough about dragons and bonds to know that the pain was a right of passage. This was one thing he could not help his twin with. At last the moment passed, and Tezza left the haze of the initial bonding. Smiling broadly, Jason pulled Tezza into a strong hug. "You did it, Tezza! Congratulations, sister." He pulled away and looked down at the dragon. "That is certainly the tiniest dragon I've ever seen, though. Do you think somethings wrong with it?" He asked, speaking his mind.

Teza Mae couldn't help but laugh for joy as Jason pulled her into a hug, and she kept staring down at the tiny red dragon. She thought over his question for a moment. "I think he's perfect," she said. She couldn't help it; she somehow already knew it was a male. She brought him up to her face, and the dragon squeeked in greeting to her, giving a playful little nip at her nose. "I guess his mother was a very young dragon," she theorized. "Or perhaps there are even runts among eggs." She gazed at him, and felt for a brief moment and overwhelming sense of hunger in her mind. "I think he's hungry, though."

"I should say so." Jason said with a laugh. "That little fellow has been in his egg for a while!" Moving to a traveling bag laying near the foot of his bed, Jason retrieved and shuffled around the inside. He came up with a handful of dried jerky. "Here! This should tide the little one over until you get it something a bit tastier." He held the jerky out to Tezza, thinking it might be rude if he tried giving the hatchling the jerky himself.
