Maude made it to her home a little while later. She hurried into her room, wondering if she had anything to wear that would be appropriate for a romantic night. She tore through her clothes chest, and began to realize, with some dismay, that her clothes consisted of tunics, leggings, boots, armor, cloaks, and everything in between except a dress. For that was what she wanted. "I've never worn a dress before." she said aloud then as the realization struck her. She sat back on her heels, clothes strewn around her. Magda sniffed at the pieces of garments. What of this? she asked, carefully picking up a light colored tunic with long, flowing sleeves. Maude eyed it askance. It just wouldn't do!
"No... I... just want to impress Ian tonight. I'm always wearing tunics and such. I need a dress." Maude scratched her chin, thinking of where she could get a dress. For a second, she thought of going to ask Eva, but she didn't want to do that. Would her mother have a dress? It seemed unlikely, but perhaps it wouldn't hurt to check... ***
Eva held a broken sword in her hand, and she was just on her way to see Antien. This time, the sword had actually broken while she was sparring, and the master had ordered her to go take it to the blacksmith. Perhaps she had seemed too eager for the task. She spotted Ian dashing towards her, and stopped in her tracks. Why was he smiling like that? He looked ridiculous. "What's with you!" She asked, laughing a bit. "You look like you've just found a treasure chest full of gold."

Ian finally found his sister - no surprise - on her way to the blacksmith. It didn't matter! He had the best news for her! He grinned ridiculously at her. "Even better! Maude accepted my request to take her out tonight!" He briefly glanced at the broken sword, but cared less as he waited for his sister's response. He means, Maude accepted a romantic outing. Castiel clarified as he sniffed Eva's broken sword. Didn't you just get one fixed yesterday? He glanced up at Eva, suspicious.
*** "Ah." Seth ungracefully replied at Glory's confession. Is that all you can say? Glory just said she liked you. Don't you feel the same? Hyperion asked, nudging Seth on the shoulder. "Um," Seth mentally scolded himself. He was being really rude to Glory and that was the last thing he wanted to do. "Glory, I like you to, but I don't know if I like you as more than a friend. Don't get me wrong though! I...think I do...but, I dunno, its kinda hard to sort out my feelings...but, I'm willing to try it...you know, maybe we could do something together?" His mouth seemed to crack into a smile. He seemed to like this idea. "Rumor has it that a Festival is happening tonight. Would you want to go with me?" He asked her.

Glory felt embarrassed beyond all belief now. Seth's reaction had not been anything like she had hoped. Could he make it any more obvious that he had never even thought of her that way? She still felt on the verge of tears, even as he asked her to the festival that night. "...Okay," she replied to him. She really wanted to say more, but the words just restricted themselves. Still, after another moment's hesitation, she burst out, "Don't do anything just for my sake...If you don't like me like that, then we can just go as friends..." Shh, Sundavar told her, nudging the side of her head. Just see where it goes, okay? Glory didn't respond. She still felt like crying, because she was worried that she may have just ruined their friendship permanently.

Eva's eyes widened a bit at Ian's good news. "She did!?" Eva exclaimed, clapping her hands together in excitement. "That's great! See! I knew you could do it, Ian."
Well done, Ian. Perhaps, now, you should give her flowers? Eos suggested, having never forgotten the first time she had told Ian to give Maude flowers. Since you are officially courting her now. Eva smirked at her dragons persistence in flowers. "What are you two going to do tonight?" She asked after Eos. ***
Maude carefully slipped into her parents bedroom. Her mother was out teaching a class right now, and her father as well. Unless, for some reason, they came home early, she would be in and out before they noticed. Opening her mothers wardrobe cabinet, Maude carefully shifted through the garments within. The clothes looked much the same as Maude's. Tunics and leggings. But, at last, near the back of the wardrobe, slightly hidden, was a silken gown. Thrilled at the sight of it, Maude carefully pulled it out and looked at it a bit closer. It seemed old, though it didn't look it. The gown was a scarlet red, with gold embroidery around the hem and at the edge of the close fitting half-sleeves. The neckline didn't exactly plunge, but it would be the most revealing thing Maude would ever wear. The bodice was a corset type, with black ribbon in the back to tie. Maude thought it was absolutely beautiful. Scurrying off with the dress, Maude retreated back to her own room. Magda waited for her within, and she sniffed at the dress as Maude laid it down on her bed. "Do you think it will fit?" She asked her bond.
Aye. But the only way to know will be try it. Maude nodded. Try it on she would.

Ian laughed at Eva's excitement, pure happiness etched on his handsome face. He nodded at Eos. "Yes! I'm getting her flowers! Loads of them! I was thinking of taking her to the gazebo near the edge of the woods, you know, the one that is surrounded by the stream. Anyway, Glory said she can help me get roses, but I was wondering, if you may also know what Creeping Bellflowers look like? She once said she liked them. I was going to ask Aunt Marola, but perhaps you might know as well?" He asked Eva, sharing his plans with her. He was so excited for tonight and he silently hoped that he woudn't screw up; everything had to be perfect!
*** "Glory." Seth sighed out of endearment as he leaned forward. "I want to take you. I like you too, okay. I just don't know how much." He admitted to her, hoping that he was making sense and not hurting her feelings. That was the last thing he wanted to do. "Whatever happens, you're my best friend." He added with a tentative smile.

Excellent. Eos said, nodding approvingly when Ian said he would indeed be giving Maude flowers. Eva laughed at her dragons seeming smugness. "Creeping bellflower? The name seems familiar. A purple flower, I think. Probably wild. Yes, most definitely wild. Perhaps you can find some in the woods? That's all the help with that I am, though. Well, do you need any help getting things ready?" She asked, eager to be of any assistance. "I can help you look for the flowers, if you want? Or perhaps help you set up by the gazebo." Oddly, she felt almost as excited as Ian was. It was as if her twins emotions were carrying into her. "I'm so happy!" she said, unable to help it.

Ian nodded along to Eva's description of the creeping bellflower. "That's what Glory said too. She said it was probably grew on the forest floor or around trees and stuff." Ian scratched his head. "I'm not too sure, but we could always ask Aunt Marola to be sure. I would ask Master Kyler, since he is a genius when it comes to those things...but well, then he might get suspicious of me and Maude...and I don't think I'm ready for anyone else to know...in case...well," He looked sideways with a slight frown. He really hoped it would work out. He glanced back at Eva, "Yeah, I'll appreciate some help. I feel like a I got a million things to do! I have to get dinner ready...make the werelights dance around...and and...get the flowers...decorate..." He declared, shaking off that ill thought he had. "If those creeping bellflowers a kinda viney like Glory described, I wonder if I can get them to wrap around the gazebo!" He pondered out loud. "Oh, and I need to figure out what to wear!" He looked horror-striken at that thought. "I don't know if I have anything good! I want her to see me in something besides my usual clothing..."
You can wear that royal green tunic that your Mother got you for that town party. Castiel interjected, recalling the story Ian had told him when the young dragon had gone digging in Ian's wardrobe for fun one day. He had found the green thing stuffed in the back as if Ian was embarrassed about it. Ian tensed. He wasn't particuarly fond of dressing up, even if his Mother said he looked like his father when he wore that tunic or when she said it brought out his eyes. Ian rolled his eyes at that thought. Mother was probably being...well motherly.

Glory met Seth's eyes--although he was blind, looking at them somehow still helped to assure her. She felt herself relax a bit, calming down when he admitted that he liked her too. She smiled at him. "Really?" she asked, wanting to be absolutely certain he wasn't just saying that to make her feel better. Most of her knew he wouldn't do that, but she also knew he wouldn't like to think he'd hurt her feelings. She nodded out of habit at his last statement. "Best friends," she told him, "No matter what." She glanced out the window, seeing that it was already getting pretty late in the afternoon. Her eyes widened. "Oh, I almost forgot! I have to put together a bouquet for Ian to give tonight."

"All great ideas!" Eva said, surprised at how her brother was suddenly turning into a romantic. "Let's start with getting those flowers. Than you should change into something more appropriate. Like that green tunic! It brings out your eyes. And then we can make dinner, head on over to the gazebo, and work our magic there. Come on, lets go find Glory! That girl probably has the flowers ready and waiting!"

"I mean it Glory. I wouldn't say things if I didn't mean them; that'll be dishonest." Seth reassured her and blinked out in surprise as she told him about Ian. "Oh, Ian's getting flowers?" He was confused. Ian didn't seem like a person who wanted flowers. Then it dawned on him. "Oh, for someone else. Oh, okay. Well, go help him. I'll see you tonight, okay? I'll meet up at our spot and then we can go and check out what this festival is all about."
*** "You think she'll like the green tunic?" Ian glanced at Eva, skeptic about the green drape. "I don't want to look like a plant." He grumbled as he and his sister ran off to go find Glory. After getting the roses, Ian would then go and find the creeping flowers, take a bath, change and set up the gazebo and werelights. He hoped Eva can help with the food while he did everything else. He could remember quite clearly the last time he tried to cook at home: he ended making some black mesh that was suppose to be beans. He left Eva to help Mother in the kitchen ever since then. The young boy scouted out his cousin, eager to tell her his exciting news and to retrieve the roses.

Glory stood as Seth told her where to meet him that evening. "Okay, see you then!" she said, and, with Sundavar behind her, she bounded off toward the forest, where she had been busying herself tending to a vast rose garden in her spare time that couldn't be spent with Seth. She gazed around at all the varieties of colors and shades, trying to decide which would be best for Ian's bouquet. Yellow, to be certain. He would want to state at the very least that he wanted to be her friend. She looked over the bush for the very best yellow rose and lightly cut it using magic. Then she turned to the pink rosebush, considering. Grace and elegance, admiration for beauty and refinement, sweetness. That would probably be something he wanted to say. She found one and snipped it. Its scent still seemed almost sickeningly sweet to her, but she knew many people liked it. She considered a lavendar rose for a moment. Love at first sight...well, that might be a bit much. She might ask Ian about it when he arrived. Blue: you are extraordinarily wonderful. She smiled as she picked one of those. Those words were enough to catch most any girl's attention and soon after, her heart, so long as they were said with sincerity. White: I am worthy of you. Glory considered for several moments before finally deciding to pick one. Turquoise...Glory felt her face redden. Definately not...not unless and until her cousin actually married Maude. Red: I love you. She considered for a long time. Finally, she decided she would wait until Ian arrived and ask if he wanted that one. Putting together most of the bouquet, which would consist of a dozen altogether, there were six yellow roses and two pink, and two white. When Ian arrived, she would ask if he wanted lavendar or red in his gift, or if he wanted to remain with the colors she had chosen. While she waited for him--for both Maude's sake as well as Ian's, she wrote a list with the meanings behind each rose color, which she would wrap around the stems.

"Okay!" Seth smiled after Glory as she left him to ponder things for a moment. Do you really not know how you feel about her, Seth? Hyperion asked. The blind boy looked up at his dark blue dragon. I know I feel something for her, Hyperion, but I really don't know what it is yet. Aye, I care for her deeply as a friend, but more? I can't honestly give a sure answer. There are times I think about her all day, and other times where she's on the back of my mind. I...I just don't know for sure. What is love? How can I know it? And am I really ready for it? Seth asked, pondering with his dragon. Just don't lead her on, Seth. Hyperion warned. I don't want to see her hurt. Nor do I, Hyp, that's why I offered to take her today. If only to know for myself what these jumbled feelings are. Seth frowned, really hoping that this was a good idea and that it won't sever the friendship he had with his best friend. The once stable-boy got up from his seat and left with Hyperion to get ready for the festival. Curiously, Seth felt very excited that he had asked Glory to go with him as a date and was eager to please her.
*** Ian, along with Castiel, Eva and Eos raced to Glory's special spot where she grew her roses. Finally finding his cousin, Ian was breathing heavily that he had to lean on a tree to catch his breath. "Sorry....ran...all the way....here." Ian breathed out. After catching his breath, Ian sported a wide grin. "Glory! Guess what! I asked Maude to accompany me to a nice romantic spot and she said yes! Eva, Eos and Cas are helping me prepare things! I just came by to pick up the roses! I'm really grateful for all your help, Glory! If it wasn't for you, I probably wouldn't have gotten the courage to ask Maude!" His grin beamed at his little cousin. "This is definitely one of the best days!" Castiel snorted quietly making Ian glance at his dragon sympathetically. "Of course, you hatching makes top of the list, Cas!" Cas blinked, saying nothing, but Ian felt a very pleased senastion pass between them. Ian rolled his eyes. The dragon wasn't getting jealous was he?

Gloriann turned as Ian suddenly appeared, panting and red-faced from his run. She smiled as he shared his news. She looked down a little bit at his thanks for her help. "You're welcome," she told him. She and Seth are going to the festival tonight, Sundavar informed Ian and Castiel. Glory's smile grew just a little bigger. Even if they only remained friends, she was sure the night was going to be fun. But then she got back to business: her cousin's roses. "I wanted your opinion before I finished it," she told him, showing him the ten roses she had so far. Then she handed him the list of the meanings of the different colors, just in case he didn't remember. "I was thinking about whether you would want either a lavendar or a red one in there, or one of each. Would either of them be too much for you?" Both were a declaration of love, though red would have more meaning than lavendar.

"That's great, Glory! See I told you we could do it!" Ian smiled at his cousin, happy that she was going out with Seth too. He gazed at the flowers she presented with a tender respect for them, knowing who was going to receive them. "Thanks so much, Glory. They're perfect for her!" She then mentioned if he wanted to add red and lavender as he took the parchment from her. He didn't glance at it and had forgotten what red meant out of his excitement for tonight. He nodded to Glory. "Yeah! Both of them! But more red! Lots of red! She likes that color and Magda is that color too; its lucky! Oh, and more white too, please! Just cause..." Ian blushed, "well, it reminds me of her..." He glanced at the parchment sheepishly. His cousin and sister probably thought of him as a lovestruck fool. He probably was. After all, since the moment he saw her he knew he liked her.

Gloriann sighed and shook her head at Ian's excited chatter, rolling her eyes as he didn't even glance at the paper. "Ian," she told him, her voice just a little stern. "I told you I was putting together to bouquet, right? Trust me; she's getting a dozen." She turned and picked out a lavendar rose--it was obvious that one was true. And then she took another short moment, looking for the best red one possible, which she planted in the very center of the bouquet. She took a thread and tied the stems together, then took the parchment from her cousin and wrapped it around so the words could be clearly seen. Then she offered the completed bouquet to Ian. "Watch out for thorns," she warned him as she held it out. "I don't think you want your fingers bleeding on your first date with her." She smiled and waved him off. "Go on, now. You've got a lot to do. Put them somewhere safe so they don't get ruined."
