Teza Mae protested her brother's apologies. After all, there really was no way he could have followed her. Her main purpose in leaving him behind was because Garrus was too small to carry them both. She hadn't thought anything bad would happen. It wasn't as if she was going to charge right into the Shade's camp. But in the end, it was all her fault, really. She should have stayed in Bromsland. Nothing would have happened to her if she'd stayed.
After several long moments, she finally calmed down again, more or less too tired to keep sobbing. She had no right to keep feeling sorry for herself. She brought it all down upon herself to begin with.
"And the worst part is, I didn't even find a hint about Tati," she said, still worried about her cousin and friend. "It was all pointless..." She laid back down, and her eyes drifted to the doorway where her father stood, his presence comforting to her. Then she looked around the room and suddenly grew alarmed.
"Aradan...Where's Aradan?" she asked, her voice starting to panic. "Is Mother okay? And Garrus?" She reached out her mind and felt her bond's soothing presence.
You're fine, Princess. Everyone is fine, he tried to comfort her.
