Eron shook her head at Sam's threat. Having Garrus follow her around would hardly be a change; the dwarf always seemed to be keenly watching her, as if trying to learn everything he could from her ways. The loud bang would quickly become annoying, though. "Whatever you say, Captain," she said, snickering to beat the band. She felt his hands take hers and allowed him to guide her. He seemed to be leading her uphill, and the noises of the camp faded away. As she sat down, she felt the cottony fabric of a blanket beneath her, rather than grass. Well, he seemed to have planned this whole excursion out well enough. When he gave the word, she pulled the black cloth off her eyes just in time to see several bright, colorful explosions in the sky. She was alarmed at first, wondering if they were under some sort of attack. But when no alarm came from the camp, she concluded that this was a part of Sam's surprise. She looked at him curiously. "Okay, really, what's the occasion? I know you had to have pulled a few strings to pull that off."

Sam couldn't help but snicker at Eron's surprised expression once the fireworks had begun. He could hear the soldiers and civilians within the camp let out appreciative applauses and ooh's and ahh's here and there. He glanced at Eron, a bit sheepishly, as she asked him about the occassion for having such a spectacle. "Well, I thought the troops needed a fun break." He placed a hand behind his head as he chuckled. "And well, let's just say, I owe the magicians some stuff...but...the other reason why I had this...was....welll..." Great...I'm babbling now... Sam thought to himself.
He never babbled unless he was extremely nervous about something...and he was hardly nervous most of the time. Well, then again, the topic he was about to broach was a very delicate one. "Well, um...you know...our relationship...well...it didn't exactly hit off...you, know, when I first became Captain...the little water stunt into your tent probably didn't...you, know...help my cause...but...I'm glad you...you...can trust me now....and and, I trust you too! With my life!...and Jack...only Jack I can trust too with my life...but..that's not the point...the point...is...the point...um, well....we've known each other for some time...and....you know...you are very likable...well, I know Thadeus...is in love with you...ooo he might not appreciate me tell you that...but, uh, that's not the point!" He continued to stammer, his hands now playing with a loose strand from the blanket they sat upon. "Um, the point is...um, Eron...is that...I uh, too...find you likable...and....not just a friendly way...so...um, you know, you don't have to feel obligated...you can say no...and I won't bring this up again...but, I was wondering if...that is...you and I....well, life's too short...and....um, the point is...that...I was wondering if I may....court you..." He finally stammered out his motive for tonight. He really thought himself as an idiot for stammering so much, but it was a horrible habit he had. He looked at Eron carefully, wondering, hoping for the answer he had dreamt of these past few weeks.

Eron sat and listened as Sam babbled rather incoherently on disjointed topics. It was obvious his way with words was not what gave him his position. Though he was rarely nervous, she always found it rather humorous when he was. "Well, Captain Riker," she said, her voice the most formal she could make it. "Since you have so graciously requested this of me and have put so much at stake, I suppose I shall accept your offer and give you permission to court me." In truth, she had rather been hoping he would ask such a thing of her soon. His playful attitude attracted her, as well as his easy nature. She reached for his hand and moved closer to his side, leaning against him. "Thank you for this, Sam," she told him.

Sam blinked. He wasn't sure what to make out of her response for a split second. She sounded way too formal than how he had envisioned it to be. But then, the words registered into his mind and a wide smile spread across his lips. He felt the warmth of her hand, the pressure of her body leaning against his as the bright, colorful light illuminated the night sky. His fingers carefully closed around her hand as his heart sped up. She actually said yes to his proposal! All his planning and negotiations with the magicians were worth it for this one moment. He leaned his head against her's as they continued to watch the fireworks dance across the sky. His heart stopped short at her gracious reply; she had finally called him Sam. "No, Eron, thank you." He whispered back as he squeezed her hand gently, trying to convey his happy emotion to her.

Einar stared at the map of Agleasia. He was at the moment, in the Black Hand's main map room. They held all the information that he needed to know. Who and where people were located and how strong their forces were. He would have gone to Vana to figure out the information he needed, but she would have probably figured out what he was up to, and Vana, was not one to take lightly to traitors. No, he needed to be more stealthy. The Black Hand would not ask so many questions as Vana.
Einar continued to gaze down at the map, mentally noting where the Dragon Slayers were located, but pretending to write down the location of the Varden troops when he heard the door to the room open. He turned around to see who this visitor was.

OOC: Hmm, let me see if I can help...lol This doesn't count as double posting right? lol
A cocky smile graced Samuel's features as he blocked a blow to his side. His sword rang with a reverberating clang as it met his sparring partner's blade. "Miss me!" Sam exclaimed in a sing song voice. "You're going to have to do better than that to get me lose our bet." He smirked as he manuevered his blade to strike a blow to his opponent's thigh.
Jack gazed onward as she watched the silly spar. This was boring! They had no missions at the moment, no excitement! There had to be something to do. She had half a mind to go to the mess hall to start a brawl just to appease her yearning for a good fight. Honestly, with all the assaults against the Empire so far, this was the most boring. They were camped out near Feinstar, waiting for Lady Nasuada's negotiations to either be successful or not. Jack stifled a yawn. She utterly hoped that the negotiations would fail, if it met she could get some fun action. She gazed back at the spar and then to the person next to her. "I'm. So. Bored." She drawled out.

Tali scowled at Sam's taunts, attempting to focus on her form. She had been working on weapon designs for so long that she had almost forgotten how to use actual weapons. She spun around to the side when Sam went for her leg. "Well, I don't make much of a habit in betting, so I had better win this," she said, scowling under her veil. She swung the blade in her left hand around at an unusual angle, upward toward his ribcage, in an attempt to knock him off balance. Then she looked past him and called out, "Hi, Eron!"
Eron chuckled as Jack let loose her complaints. She never was one to take a break without a fight. "You should just take a moment to enjoy yourself," she said. "Before you know it, we'll all be out risking our lives again. I think it's nice to be able to settle for a while." She watched the spar below them, where Sam and Tali were dueling. A smile cam to her face, and she was unable to restrain it while she watched the captain. He meant everything to her now, and no amount of teasing from her squadmates would change that.

OOC: I think my plot for Einar just went kaput. I can't think of anything for him...grrr.
Sam continued to chuckle at Tali's comments. He felt his sword hit air as Tali spun away to avoid his blade. His smile continued to radiate his features as they playfully sparred. "And the prize of being the Captain for the day, doesn't appeal to you, hmm?" He teased her. Indeed, Sam had goaded Tali to spar with him on the bet that if she won, he would allow her to be a Captain for a full 24 hour period, while he, would then muck the stalls of the horses and livestock if he lost. Really, she had ever incentive to win, as Sam only wanted to get the girl to practice more of her skills. Betting was his odd way of getting everyone in for a routine spar so their skills wouldn't rust, but of course, he would never tell them his true purpose.
Sam spotted Tali's unique attack and bent backward to avoid it, while his blade also came up to manuever her weapon up and away from his face. It was then he heard Tali call out to Eron. The Captain's heart sped up at the call of her name. She was here? He had thought she was called to the pavillion earlier for a debrief on a mission. Tali's distraction cost him as he stumbled backward into a pebble, tripping him further downward onto his back. Sam let out a grunt as he felt pain reverberate across his backside. He momentarily stared up into the sky before tilting his head back in a silly angle to catch a glimpse of his Commander. A grin was slapped on his face as he forgot about the spar with Tali as his eyes focused on his lover.
*** Jack let out a raspberry. "I hate being idle. I wasn't meant to stand around and oogle at everyone. Besides, not all of us have someone they can personally settled down with...." She rose a suggestive eyebrow at her best friend. "You know, you still didn't give me any details about how our dear Captain handles himself." Her bawdy remark added to the suggestive eyebrow. "I am bored, and I know how much you love to talk, soooo share a little." She teased. Honestly, she really didn't want to know any of those particular details about her Commander and Captain, but she always did enjoy causing Eron to blush when she teased her.

Tali let out a delighted laugh as Sam responded the exact way she had expected him to. As he fell down, she approached him with her blades in hand. She saw that she had lost him completely, the captain's attention being solely on his lover. She tapped a blade against his throat lightly. "Well, sir, I think I just won our little bet," she told him. Though her face was hidden behind her veil, the smile was showing through her eyes. "Now off to the stables with you, and when you have finished with that, my swords need polishing and you must pet Chikita for a full hour." At the sound of his name, her werecat friend approached her. Chikita was odd in that his preferred form was not a cat but a violet plumed bird. He seated himself on her shoulder and cawed at Sam. I would also like you to have a handful of seed the entire time, he informed the defeated captain, or else I will peck at your hand until your fingers bleed.
Eron was hardly listening to Jack as her eyes met Sam's. He was everything she needed to keep herself sane, during both war and peace. However, her friend's remarks snapped her out of her happy daze as she felt her face turn red. "I'll abandon you to a Shrrg den before I tell you anything about that," she stated. Jack loved teasing her just a little too much. She rolled her eyes and looked away. "Anyway, I thought we were talking about you. You know, you could learn a lot from Thane." She indicated the elf assassin where he sat nearby. He was still and quiet, and she thought he might be meditating. Thane seemed a bit more religious that most elves. She knew it had something to do with his disease, and she wondered if perhaps he was hoping there might be something beyond this life.

Sam's eyes grew a bit more intense...and playful, as he made eye contact with Eron. A light, cold tap, stirred him out of his reverie. He sighed, finally realizing his defeat. "All right, all right." He sat up as he listened to Tali and Chikita's demands. "A full hour?! Wouldn't your feathers get all ruffled up?" He exclaimed, feeling that the last two demands were ridiculous. He rose to his feet and sheathed his sword. He dusted himself off and stole a glance at Eron. "Well, I can see that you're not letting power get to your head, Captain Tali." He smirked as teased her.
*** The blush that illicited itself from Eron's cheeks caused Jack to cackle with glee. She knew her last remark would get her Commander! This was sure fun. However, at the mention of Thane, Jack let out an audible groan. "I was not born to sit and mediate! I need action! Action!" A devious smile then formed on her lips. She loved to tease Thane as well. "Unless Thane wants to help with my need for action," she knew perfectly well that his elven ears were listening in, "then maybe I won't be so bored." Her eyes flickered back to Eron, and then her peripheral vision caught sight of something. "Oh, it looks like Tali's done. That means the ground is free!" She sighed with absolute relief. "Thane! Come play with me! The Captain's been bested earlier than I thought!" She laughed as she addressed Thane. "Well, it looks like the Captain will be working harder today...maybe you could relax him later." She smirked at Eron before hopping over the wooden fence that led to the training field. "Come no Thane! You know I hate to wait!" She called behind her before rushing down toward Sam and Tali.

Chikita screeched at Sam's protests, letting him know that he would take nothing less than what he had demanded. "Oh, and one last thing," Tali added, smirking. "I'm having 'trouble' with a difficult equation solving the exact trajectory of a two-ton boulder flung from our standard catapults. I want you to give me the solution to this problem by the end of my twenty-four hour period as captain." She turned away. "I will be in my tent whenever you're ready to groom Chikita." That was a bit mean, the werecat mentioned, preening a feather under his wing. Not just anyone can figure out that jumbled nonsense you call physics. I know, but it's fun. And if he wants to challenge us, it's only fair that we challenge him as well.
Eron rolled her eyes as Jack began to demand a spar from Thane, but she was glad her friend's attention was no longer on her. She didn't think she could bear anymore teasing today. She made her way down to Sam as Tali began walking off, listing her last demand. "So wait, you're telling me that I'm now outranked by little Tali Zorah?" she asked, taking ahold of Sam's hand. "I think the world has just become a much more scary place."
Thane's expression didn't change as he heard Jack's taunting. Inside, though, he was smiling. The woman could be trouble, but at least she was honest. Reminded him a little of his son, when last he'd seen him. "Are you certain that you want to spar, Jack?" he asked her. In one fluid motion, faster than most human eyes could follow, he stood and was behind her. "You do recall what happened the last time we fought? And the time before that?"

Sam pouted as Tali listed her final demand. How was he going to figure that out!? And he had a funny feeling that she already knew the answer. "As you wish, Cap'n!" He called out after her with amusement. This was indeed going to be an interesting 24 hours. Well, he supposed he deserved it; he really did suck at gambling. He motioned to leave so he could quickly meet up with Eron before mucking up the stables when his lover appeared beside him. He smiled at her and at her comment as he clasped her hand. "Yeah, I'm beginning to wonder if my bet was a good idea..." He replied as he watched Tali and Chikita go. "Who knew she could be such a tyrant..." He chuckled and smirked. "Besides, look at it this way...since I've been temporarily demoted...you can boss me around too." He smiled innocently at Eron. "And for some reason, I don't I really mind that..." He drew closer to her.
*** Jack was waiting impatiently on the training field when she sensed, more than noticed Thane appearing behind her. She sighed. Of course she remembered the last few times they sparred! She was bested in all of them! But to her great pleasure, she had improved each time. "Who else can handle my ferocity?" Jack innocently replied before ducking down low and twisting herself about so that her right foot could connect itself with Thane's throat; her body perfectly prependicular to the ground. "Hey lovebirds! Kindly move!" Jack yelled out as she fought with Thane, excitement growing as she no longer felt utterly bored.

Eron laughed as Sam complained about Tali's new position. She suspected that he was actually going to enjoy this day. "Well, you did tell her she could do what she wanted with you during this time. I did make it clear to her that it's only up to a certain degree." She gave him a mischievous grin. "Well, then, I think I'm going to have fun with that...although it will have to wait until Tali's done tormenting you." She brushed a finger through his hair, wishing again that he wasn't so damn noble all the time. Then she could order him to stay in her tent for the night...But he told her that he wanted to wait, so she would wait for him. She was about to brush her lips against his when Jack suddenly yelled at them. She rolled her eyes. "Yeah, because you don't have the patience to wait two minutes for the battlefield to clear out," she called out to her friend, who was already in top-notch combat against Thane. She turned back to Sam. "Come on. We better get out of the way before we get caught up between those two. It might end up something like a meat grinder."
Thane lifted his arms to block Jack's fierce kick, his scale absorbing most of the impact and leaving him unharmed. He twisted his hand to grab her ankle, intending to throw her back to the ground. She was getting faster and stronger, it was true, but there was also the fact that as subtle as it seemed, he was getting weaker every day. Given a couple of decades and she could probably beat him soundly every time. "I can think of a few who might be able to match you," he said. "Really, putting yourself up against me is rather unfair; it makes me think you are a glutton for punishment."

Sam smiled as joked with Eron. How he loved spending time with her! He chuckled as she revealed a devious grin. "Yeah, I don't know if I'll survive her torment, but its really my fault. All I wanted was to get her to practice a bit more...and now look...power hungry she is!" He laughed as he soon felt Eron draw closer to him as he did her. "Mmm...I'm really eager to see what you'll make me do." He whispered to her as he leaned in to kiss her.
Sam let out an annoyed grunt when he didn't feel Eron's lips and only heard Jack's demanding voice. "Yeah, well I might join kicking her butt for missing out on my daily kiss!" He huffed as he walked with her back up to the hill. "Kick her butt Thane!" Sam shouted back once they left the field.
*** Jack smiled as she fought Thane, feeling her kick connect with his block. She had anticipated that and was glad that his reflexes were perfect still. True, she would go all out on Thane, but she was ever aware of his condition and knew when enough was enough. She only hoped that she could help figure out how to prolong his life more; he was a valuable member of the squad, but more importantly a valuable friend. "Wrong! I don't have the patience to watch you too smooch all day!" She yelled back to Eron before concentrating on her fight with Thane.
Jack felt Thane grip her ankle and use his strength to push her back down. Anticipating this, Jack lithly pulled her ankle from his grip as she continued downward toward the ground. Using her right hand, she held her body upward as she twisted sideways, placing her upright as she swung her body again for a scissor kick to his legs, hoping to knock him to his back. "And just who do you suppose can match me?" Jack commented as she twisted about. "I'm a glutton of challenges, not punishments!" She declared with a laugh.

Eron gave Sam a grin as they left the training grounds before Jack and Thane got fierce enough to cause someone harm. "So you're saying I'm only allowed to kiss you once a day?" she asked him, raising an eyebrow. "I think I'll save it then. I might have something special planned for you later." She gave him a wink and a little shove toward the stables. "Go on, horse-boy. Get good and dirty, and have fun playing slave to Tali all day." ~~~~~ Thane kept a close eye on Jack as she manuvuered on the ground. From the way she put down her right hand, he was accurately able to perceive her next actions. Therefore, her scissor-kick only met air. He performed a quick backflip out of the way, and then just as quickly was back to her. He grabbed her left hand and twisted it behind her back. "Perhaps someone who is closer to your speed. Take Grunt for example." He referred to the Urgal squad member. Grunt was barely out of adolesence and one of the most violent creatures a person could meet. His movements, though, were slower and bulky. He made up for it in strength, though, which nearly matched most elves. ~~~~~ Samara looked around carefully before leaving the house. Joshua had demanded that she be cautious wherever she went. She knew she was in danger...but she'd also heard that he was back in town for a short while. This family she was living with was nice and all, but she didn't really feel safe around them. She had to pretend to be someone she wasn't. She could only be herself with Joshua. She called back into the house that she was going to meet some friends in the center of town and then skipped off to find her only true friend, making her way to the inn she was sure he was staying at.
