"RUN! She's in a mood again!" A number of people fled a certain area, diving behind sand dunes and inside tents, while the girl in the red dress caught ahold of her victim. A man. Nearly always a man. A inhuman cry of primal agony tore from her lips, and it was eerily echoed by her victim as she stabbed him repeatedly in the abdomen and proceded to tear him apart from the inside out with her bare hands. "Why did he leave me? WHY?! We promised forever!!!" Her eyes were wide and insane, but deep inside, there reflected her deep pain, her sorrow and confusion, wrapped up within her dead, icy heart. "Why did that boy have to go and ruin everything?! And killing him didn't fix it! It didn't fix anything! Daeron is still gone!" She thrust her knife into the man repeatedly, in his chest, his neck, his face, demanding answers from him even when he expelled his last breath and she was just butchering a corpse. When she had finally minced most of him away, she dropped her knife and curled around herself over the remains as if it were a bed. The blood was still warm, but it did not even begin to melt the stone-cold heart within her. A sob broke from her throat as tears began to fall. "Lights went out, darkness came, none were devout, the priests were shamed," she started muttering to herself in a sing-song voice, a distorted version of a nursery rhyme she'd known in her childhood. The singing helped distract her sometimes, from thinking about him. "Love was lost, day was done, count the cost, there's no more sun..."

Daeron had come to accept and appreciate the shadows; it hid everything, but revealed everything to him at the same time. His eyes were ever watchful at the scene that had been exposed to him. He had learned much from his Brother and Sisters since his time with the Family. He had honed his body and skills to the point of his current limit and more; he had grown more muscular, but lithe, tall, but not overbearing. The recent Family member moved like the shadows that concealed him as he passed by the fleeing soldiers from the bloodbath that had just taken place. Daeron felt a pang of heartache as his eyes saw the tears that befell from Sachi's face, from the crazed song she sung, and especially from her disheveled appearance. All his training confirmed that this Sachi, was broken. And he was the cause. He felt his anger rise up against Tyrant and Katriana for manipulating them this way, but masked it quickly as he was taught by his Mother.
Silently, like the killer assassin he was, Daeron moved beside, then behind Sachi as she sung. It was time to find out the truth. His black jacket cloak rustled lightly as he stopped behind Sachi, the only concealer to his black wardrobe and hidden weapons that he had. He bent down - ignoring how his boots were now bathed in blood - a hand hovering over his love as he gently brushed away the strands that hid her face. He was tense, alert if she should attack in her craze state, but he dared to pick her up, one hand to support her back, the other her legs as his eyes scanned the terrain briefly for watchers. "Shh, Sachi. Let's get you cleaned up." Daeron whispered to her as moved to lift her up against him.

Sachiko tensed when she felt someone touch her, her singing halting. No one ever dared touch her...hardly anyone wanted to come more than five feet near her and most were over twice that distance. She turned over when she felt him picking her up, and she thought she was imagining things. She put her bloody hand against his face. "D-Dae...ron...?" she asked. He came back? But...he was so angry at her. His shouting accusations were still ringing in her ears. He never even gave her a chance to say anything, calling her a liar. It still stung and resounded within her. She only lied to victims, people she was playing with before the kill. She never lied to him, not once, except for when they first met and she was acting out before revealing to him that she had killed his friends. "Why...are you doing this?" she asked him. "I thought you hated me..."

Daeron held Sachi close as he manuevered stealthly to her tent, avoiding any eyes; pretenses still need to be in place. "Shh, Sachi. I'll explain soon, okay?" He held no facial expressions, but his eyes were one of regret, guilt, and hope. "We'll be at your tent soon." He added as he continued to move, not wanting anyone to see them together for fear of it getting back to Katriana. There was much to be confirmed and much to be done.
After a few minutes, Daeron made it to Sachi's tent with ease and without anyone spotting them. Daeron slipped inside and carefully placed Sachi on the bed. He backed away, not caring that he was covered in blood as he went to gather a towel. "Adurna." He commanded water to form and he used it to soak the towel as he gently went to clean Sachiko off. "I don't hate Sachi." He told her as he wiped the blood off her face, his eyes low, not daring to look into her eyes. "I thought I did, when I saw you with that boy. I'm sorry for yelling at you and calling you those horrible names; I regret speaking them, let alone thinking them." His eyes avoided contact as he went to wipe her cheeks. "I...I don't know if you were lying to me or not; I don't think you were, but, if you were then, I just, what to ask why, but mostly I'm here because I never gave you the chance to explain everything." He knelt in front of her to gain better access to cleaning her hands; he had missed her touch. "And so, I'm here, willing to listen and to say I'm sorry." He finally made eye contact with her, his face an unreadable mask as he desired to hear the truth, and with this truth he would act accordingly to the plans that he had made.

Sachi watched Daeron carefully, afraid he might start accusing her again. But he was nothing but gentle as he set her down on her bed and set about cleaning the blood off her. She as caked in layers of the stuff, not caring to wash it off after killing over and over again. She once reveled in it, but now she hardly even noticed. She listened as he explained himself. She was cautious, seeing if he was going to interrupt her as he had last time. "Well...after you and I started to...spend time together, I was able to be around other people as well. I could talk to them without wanting to kill them, and it was kind of...nice." She frowned for a moment...socializing seemed generally encouraged, but it had somehow brought her all this grief. "Well, I'd recruited that boy some months before you. When he learned what I was really like, he was afraid of me, like everybody else. But I guess he noticed when I changed, because he started talking to me more. And then, when you were gone with Tyrant, he told me he liked me and wondered if I would let him kiss me. But I could never do that. I love you, and only you, and he never earned that from me. So I told him no. But he kept asking, and every day I started getting more and more mad. I was hoping you would get back soon so I could...relieve some of that anger..." She looked down at the floor, that old sinking feeling returning for the first time since he left her. "But then, I guess he got tired of asking. He grabbed me and tried to kiss me." She shuddered slightly, the scarred mental image of her mother in that very same situation so many years ago coming back to haunt her. "I was about to rip his throat out when I heard you start yelling." She looked back up at him, her eyes nearly pleading. "That's what happened, I swear! I don't care what anybody else thinks about me, I'm not THAT bad! I would never ever ever do something like that to you! I promise! Please, please believe me..."

Daeron's eyes reflected one of anger as Sachi finished her tale, his hands halted in their cleaning. "He...tried to force you?" Daeron's voice was deceptively calm as he controlled his anger. "I...I should have listened to you, Sachi. I'm sorry. I should have done more than punch him." Daeron easily recalled punching the boy, repeatedly, after he yelled at Sachi. He wondered idly if he could go and kill him, before remembering the distress Sachi was in. He resumed his gentle cleaning. "I believe you, Sachi." Daeron sighed. He had caused her so much pain. "I'm sorry for causing you pain...it was just," he inhaled, "Tyrant told me things while I was on my mission with him. Things...concerning you and how you used other boys to get them to join..." He felt he didn't need to elaborate on the word "use" to her. "I...shouldn't have believed him, but, when I saw the boy kiss you...well, my temper got the better of me." He stopped cleaning her hands and began to caress them with his thumbs. "Forgive me, Sachi, I was so stupid. I should have trusted you, but instead I just caused you pain; I can understand if you don't love me anymore." Daeron kept his eyes down, ashamed for harming Sachi in the worst possible way, but the conversation did confirm something: Tyrant was to blame for this, and most likely Katriana. If that was true, than it was clear that Katriana did not approve of their relationship, and his with Glory - which he would have to try and salvage some time when she wasn't under the watchful eye of Katriana. This, could get complicated.

Sachi felt a twinge of anger. Tyrant knew nothing about her! He had no right to tell things like that to Daeron. She resolved to butcher the Shade's face next time she saw him. Then she turned her attention back to Daeron. A the gentle touch of his hands against hers, she felt something under her cold ashes start to warm a little. "Of course I still love you," she whispered to him. "I told you. Forever, and I'm not going back on that." She wrapped her arms around him, pressing against his back as she pulled herself closer to him. "Just please...please don't leave me again," she told him. She pressed her fingernails into his back, hard enough to tear his tunic and dig into his skin, and her hands started to slide downward. He'd once called it claiming him as her own, and she wanted to make certain that was clear. He was hers, and she would never let him go.

Daeron groaned against the pain that Sachi was causing; he had missed this. He had missed her. A smile formed on his lips as she drew herself closer. "I don't plan on leaving you again. I love you too, Sachi. Forever." His hands reached up to wrap themselves around her waist, not caring that she was still covered in blood and gore. "Mmm, I'm going to have to repair my clothes later." He replied with his old smirk. He leaned in to kiss her but halted as he recalled Katriana's meddling into their affairs. If she was behind it all, they would both have to be very careful in resuming their relationship. Daeron pulled himself back a few inches. "Sachi," He began with heavy breathing, "we...we need to be careful; I don't think Katriana approves of us being together." He inched himself closer, trying to control himself around her. "Its not like Tyrant to just meddle for the sake of it; I think he was told to do so..." He stood up from his kneeling position, pushing Sachiko onto her back as he got onto the bed with her. "...if that's true, we need to discreetly figure out why..." He managed to get out before his lust took over and he finally kissed her with all the eagerness and love he possessed.

The words Daeron was speaking registered somewhere in the back of Sachiko's mind, tucked away to be thought about later. But right now, at this moment, it was all just meaningless babbling as her breathing accelerated while he drew closer and closer to her. She had missed him, so very very much. The agonized screams of ten thousand men could not compare to the ecstacy his very touch brought her. The instant his lips finally met hers, she felt the fire that had been dead for so long burst to life with a blaze that filled her entire being. She tried to keep herself from being too eager, and patiently pulled off his tunic rather than her more common ripping that she usually did. "You have no idea how much I missed you," she whispered in his ear before biting down on it, losing all seblance of control over her actions, again feeling that completeness he gave her. "I love you." It was only early evening, but no one missed her. Most people were rather glad she seemed to have disappeared for the moment, so no one questioned her abscence, and the night crept by at a luxeriously slow pace, as if the gods had decided to give the two of them time to catch up on those missed nights. The stars were barely beginning to fade when Sachi was finally able to fall asleep--for the first time since he left--with a smile on her face.

Daeron awoke the moment he felt the morning rays hit the top of the tent. He had become a light sleeper due to his training with the Family, and could, even, function with limited sleep as well. The young assassin gazed over to the woman that was using his arm as a pillow. He grinned over at her, amazed to find themselves in this position once again; he had never dreamed it to be possible after their fight. He rolled himself to his side, encasing Sachi in between his body and the tent's canvas, groaning all the while; Sachi didn't seem to have held back in her scratching and biting. He couldn't help but to smile at that; she had missed him as much as he missed her - she had her own marks too.
However, that thought process led Daeron to think if Tyrant and Katriana. If they ever found out about them coming together again, they would harm Sachi. He frowned at that. He would have to make sure that Sachi would never feel that type of pain again. His eyes roamed Sachi's face. He would protect her with his life. His fingers soon found themselves caressing her cheek. "Sachi, its morning, time to wake up." He told her, kissed her lightly on the lips, and gently pried himself away so he could begin healing his cuts and bruises; Katriana must not discover that they had gotten back together. However, right as he began, he halted. He would have to explain to Sachi what he was doing, or she might think last night was a mistake if he began healing himself of her claim. They had a lot to talk about and he hoped, that Sachi would understand; he knew that Katriana held some loyalty from her.

Sachi awoke with a contented sigh, though a part of her was pleasantly surprised by her awakening. Usually she was the one who had to prod Daeron out of bed. She thought again of what he must have gone through while he was gone. What all had happened? She noticed immediately when he started to heal the marks she had given him the night before. They had never done it before, both agreeing that they wanted to keep them as remembrances. She was confused and a bit hurt at first, and was going to ask him why. But, just as he stopped what he was doing, the words he'd said to her last night and she'd tucked away as unimportant for the moment presented themselves into her mind clearly. "Why do you think Kat doesn't approve of us?" she asked him. "I mean...who we choose to spend our time with is our business...and she's never said anything about it." She frowned as she sat up, wrapping her arms around her legs as she thought. She was sore from last night, covered in bite marks and scratches. The lost time had made their encounter even more intense, and she felt Daeron was stronger than he was before. "But...you're right. It's not like Tyrant to just say something particularly nasty about just anyone right out of the blue. What reason could he have for wanting to split us apart?"

Daeron heard Sachiko stir behind him and turned to give her a smile just as she asked her question. He was glad that she remembered what he said last night. He was silent for a moment, pondering on her questions and thoughts whilst calculating the scenerios and benefits for them being apart. He had learned many things under the tutelege of Lucien, one of them, was to understand his opponents' thoughts and behaviors so that he could kill them. Tyrant's involvment surely had to come from Katriana's request; why else would the derange Shade poke into their affairs? Sure, Tyrant delighted in causing pain, but, without a gain? Daeron could find no true gain for the Shade and Tyrant was not known to just simply do things just because he wanted to...well, most of the time. Katriana, on the other hand, had much to gain. His eyes darted over to Sachi as she sat there, huddled and thinking. His eyes glazed over to the wounds he had caused Sachi and then thought of his own, and then it dawned on him.....it was all for Sachi. His eyes widened in realization.
"It was all for you." He scooted back so he was facing her properly, trying to ignore the distraction her body had on him. "It makes sense now. Since we've been together, you've changed; become nicer and less ruthless whenever we were on assignment. Katriana must have noticed it and was displeased because of it; not to mention how the people became less fearful of approaching you. You're Katriana's number one killer, but with me around...she believed you to be tamed somehow." Daeron's eyebrows furrowed, not liking how Katriana merely say Sachi as a tool for her. "So, she sent Tyrant to place doubt into my mind so that I would leave; she thought me useless anyways - I would not be a loss to her...and then you would go back to being who you were before." Daeron scoffed in disbelief. "She orchestrated everything so you just go back to killing for her; she never cared about you or myself; I was just a tool...to make you feel pain." Daeron made a disgusted look at himself as he stared down at his hands. "I fell for it." He clenched his fists, feeling the anger rise withing his chest. He took a deep breath to calm himself just as he was taught by Lucien and his Mother. He glanced back at his lover, deceptively calm. "Her ploy was quite clever; I think I've gained a better understanding of her now." He proclaimed calmly, having assessed Katriana's motivation now. It took all his will power not to go and kill Katriana now, but the Family's plans held him in place; he would wait.

Sachiko stared at Daeron while he put the pieces together for them. Her eyes grew wide at everything he was saying. "Katriana...she only ever wanted me to be a monster. Just like her. That's what I always was, until you. Just a pathetic creature that enjoys hurting things, because...because I was hurt so long ago." She frowned and dropped her gaze the floor. "She could have killed me," she told him. "When I first met Kat, I was living out in the woods, and only Pluto kept me any sort of company. I owed him, because we had a draw. So I never tried to hurt him again, and he stayed with me. I tried to trick Kat, like I did everybody, make her think I was lost and asked for help. I don't know if she believed me or not, but either way, she didn't even care. She just kept walking like I wasn't even there. And then I got really angry...I attacked her. I didn't like being ignored." She shrugged, not needing to explain how easily Katriana defeated her. "I thought I was going to die...Kat had every right to do so. But she didn't...she kept me alive, because she had a use for me." She bit her lip as she glanced back at Daeron. "I owe her my life. I...I can't think bad of her, even if she hurts me." She was having difficulty explaining it. For her, it was a matter of honor and respect. If she was ever defeated, she would owe her loyalty to that person. And because she had a draw against the werecat, they more or less just tolerated each other. But she couldn't change her opinion of Katriana so easily.

Daeron gave Sachi a sympathetic smile after hearing her tale. "Hey, come here." He scooted himself back onto the bed and went to wrap his arms around Sachi. "I understand - Katriana is important to you. I just," He sighed and glanced away, "I just don't like how she just treats you like a pet or something; you're more than that, Sachi. I know you respect her, but, just be careful with her okay? She may not care about hurting you, but I do." He kissed her forehead as he held her. "However, that still doesn't solve the immediate problem. Do we keep our relationship secret or do we make it known, knowing that there will be repercussions for both situations." He asked her, wondering what her thoughts were.

Sachi gave a slight shrug when Daeron mentioned he didn't like how Katriana treated her. Her eyes faded a little--even beneath the demonic animal she was by nature, her true self underneath was simply a broken creature, confused, alone. "At least she made me feel useful..." she whispered. "Like there was some reason for me to exist. I live to hurt and kill things, but if I do it for myself, then what is the point? She gives me things to hurt and kill, and I know there is a reason for it." She glanced at Daeron, feeling another twinge in her heart. "But...you...you make me feel like there is more to my life than suffering. Like maybe others aren't just things to be tormented for my amusement." The thought confused her, but remembering her time before with Daeron, and how because of him, she was able to live with others, she could see how it was true. And another realization came to her. "And that's the opposite of what Kat wants from me...She wants me to be some heartless killer. She likes that I revel in the screams of torment and I love the feel of blood on my skin. That's what she needs of me...and that's what she deserves from me." Sachi sighed, her confusion even more evident. She knew her nature, her love of slaughter, the thing she had lived her entire life for. But Daeron changed that for her, and with him, she no longer wanted those things. She wanted to be accepted. She wanted to be normal...to be human. These two sides felt like they were tearing her apart inside, and she wasn't sure which she really wanted more. But she did know one thing: she wanted Daeron. Not even her duty to the Shade could keep her away from him. "I don't know how we could keep it a secret..." she said. "I mean, look at all you've done to me." She gave him a small giggle. "A few months with you, and you reshaped my entire nature. A few weeks without you, and all I could do was kill and cry...kill and cry...over and over...And now one night with you has completely repaired all that." She put her hand on his arm and slid up to his shoulder. "You make me do the craziest things sometimes...But I don't know how anyone could not notice. Even if we never were seen together, you change me enough that Kat would surely see it."
