Daeron listened carefully to Sachi as she explained her thoughts and opinions on the matter at hand. He hated how Sachi thought she was a monster - that even Katriana thought so - she was not heartless! If there was to be a monster, Daeron knew it was the Shade. His mother and the Family were right. Katriana needed to be stopped. She threatened everything that meant to be human.
Daeron gave Sachi a light smile as she revealed how much influence over her. He never thought he could ever be that important to someone that it could drastically change them. He felt utterly wanted, but also fearful; he didn't like having that much power over Sachi. However, he felt the same with her. The months with her had been the greatest in his life; he felt loved and wanted. However, the fight and time apart nearly tore his soul in half. Even though he had reconciled with his Mother, Daeron felt a part of him was gone - hollow. "Sachi," Daeron began as he gazed at his lover, "you complete me. I was lost without you too and have never felt so loved or important by anyone than by you. I love you for you." He told her as he stroked her cheek gently with the back of his finger, "And, I want you to know, that you're not a Monster - you have a heart, no matter what anyone tells you - you have a heart. I've seen it and feel it now. I just don't want Katriana to take that from you...and, I want you to know, that its okay to...want to be human....and to find your own motivations to do things - its how we figure out who we are." He told her, not sure why he said those things, but he wanted to try and convey his feelings to her, to let her know that she had the right to be her own individual, to think for herself. He just hoped that he was able to express that, in his own, stammering way. He kissed her briefly and gave her a smile. "Let's not hide then, let's show them that we can do our duty and be together too." Daeron proclaimed, hoping that this would work, and knowing that if anyone, especially Tyrant and Katriana, tried to hurt Sachiko again, he would not hesitate to stab them in the heart.

Sachiko felt her heart beat faster at Daeron's words. She could tell, from the look in his eyes, that every word he said was the utter truth. She felt more than just useful. She felt wanted, loved, adored. Daeron gave her even more purpose to live than Katriana had. "Okay," she said, when he decided they would not hide their relationship. "We'll go through this...together. No matter what Kat might think." She glanced down at the ground again. This was going to be hard. Kat was not going to like this. She would be angry...so very angry. Sachi knew she was going to have to work twice as hard, to prove to her mistress that she was still useful, worthwhile. She would have to make sure she continued to be completely ruthless when she was given an assignment. Otherwise, Kat may cast her out...or worse, have her killed. She sighed and picked her discarded dress up from the ground. The red dress...Sachi could remember...it was once a bright yellow. But it had been so thoroughly drenched in blood that it was forever stained. No matter how Daeron felt, Sachi knew...this was what she was. It represented her, it was how others knew who and what she was. "We should get dressed...Katriana will be wondering where I am. And maybe where you are."

Daeron nodded, a smile on his face as he kissed Sachi once more before resuming to dress, as well as heal himself; he was taught to be very kempt now. He carefully placed all his daggers back in place, having placed them all aside before things became too heated last night. He mended his tunic and jacket-cloak that Sachi had torn with magic and quickly placed them on. "Yes, we shouldn't shirk on our duties; that would not be a good impression for Katriana to have." Daeron agreed as he went to help Sachiko dress, displaying uncanny maturity for his age. "Do you want me to heal you, Sachi? I suggest we go and take a bath too, so that we are presentable to Katriana." Daeron added, thinking ahead on how to make Katriana tolerate their relationship.

Sachi watched Daeron carefully. He was different...more responsible. In a way, she missed his careless playfulness, but his maturity was quickly growing on her as he attended to her. "If you think it's best..." she said about him healing her, though just a bit regretfully. She used to see those marks on her body and recall the previous night's love. But perhaps it was a distraction. Maybe she could focus better on her assignments without them. She looked at herself in her long unused mirror and saw just how messy, bedraggled, bloody, and generally monstrous she looked. Daeron hadn't finished cleaning her off last night before they got caught up in...catching up. How could he possibly think she looked attactive right now? She looked like a ghost of a monster. "Um...yeah...maybe I should bathe..." she said, still transfixed by her image.

Daeron was about to heal her when he noticed her gaze turn to the mirror. He hadn't missed her regretful voice, nor the look she gave her reflection. He snaked behind her, one hand placed on her hip, if not dangerously lower, while the other, darted to her neck, pressing back her hair to reveal a bite mark he had made last night. "You are beautiful." He placed his lips next to her ear. He gazed at her reflection, eyes locked onto that mark as he whispered into her ear. "Don't worry, Sachi; it'll be fun to make new ones later." He teased her as he begun to heal her marks, all the while, keeping himself behind her as his hands roamed to heal her. "And on the topic of bathing - would you like me to join you?" His eyes twinkled with mischief as he finished healing her. His logical side told him to back away, as they needed to give Katriana a good impression, and he knew that he was stalling to have more time with her. "Hmm." Daeron sounded as he backed away from Sachi. "You're far too irresistable for me." He confessed as he held out his hand for her. "Ready?"

A smile crossed over Sachi's face as Daeron whispered to her, holding her carefully. He was indeed a strange man...he was attracted to what most people were terrified of. And she was just fine with that. "Mmm..." was all that came from her as he healed her, his caresses making her shudder with pleasure. Well...she could get used to this. She grinned at his question. "I would say yes, but then I'm afraid you would have to do the healing all over again," she told him. "Not to mention we would be late for Kat." She took his hand, but then turned and looked over her tent and was suddenly stricken with her old compulsions. "Just a moment..." she told him, and went about making her bed and straightening everything up. She hardly even noticed while he was gone; she hardly ever entered her tent anyway. It was too painful. Now that she saw its deteriorated state, she felt the need to fix it. Once she was satisfied that everything was absolutely perfect, she took his hand again. "That's better. Let's go."

OOC: Time to fix Daeron and Glory now?
Daeron smiled at Sachiko's truthful statement. "Mmm, yes, I suppose it would be best if I actually let you bathe." He smirked and waited patiently for her to tidy up the place. He would have helped, but he knew that Sachi preferred things in a precise way as he learned at one pervious occassion; Sachi ended up redoing what he had done anyway. So, all he did was help her pick things up, hand it to her, and then she would place them where they needed to be. She was unique, that was for sure, but she was all his and that was all that mattered.
Once she was ready, Daeron led her to oasis that was nearby and gave her a kissful goodbye. "I'll see you soon; I'm going to go and see Glory. I'm hoping she's perhaps in a talkative mood." He told Sachi before giving her another kiss and taking off toward Glory's tent with a deadly confidence, another testament that he had indeed grown. He had promised his mother he would try to reconcile with Glory and he secretly hoped that he would.
*** "Glory. I sense Daeron is coming over." Seth told her as he exited out of their tent, which he shared with her since his arrival, not trusting her to be alone with so many Shades and violent individuals around. He had made Glory a bigger tent, so that Hyp and Sun could at least both poke their heads inside, and that their was a partition in between them as he was not yet ready to take that intimate step; he respected Glory too much and his Mother would kill him if he took that step before marriage. However, it had become increasingly difficult for the Blind Rider to hold that promise to his mother. The blind Rider waited for Glory to appear as Daeron finally stopped in front of their tent, unaware of the confused, and nearly deadly look on the young assassin's face. "I know you." Daeron stated, having recognized Seth as the boy that cuddled with his sister in Bromsland. "What are you doing here?" He asked, his voice a protective and threatening tone. "Good to see you too, Daeron." Seth joked.

Glory was in the midst of getting dressed when she heard Seth call out to her. It was still unnerving for her when she realized that the man she loved, and wanted to be with, was separated from her by a thin sheet of cloth as she changed her clothes. Still, she knew she wasn't ready for that level of intimacy yet. As it was, she was still too shy to kiss him herself. She was glad Seth seemed to be of the same mindset, and he hadn't pressured her at all. She knew she'd found a one of a kind with him. "All right, I'll be right out," she called to him, tying a black choker around her neck and brushing her hair out. She found her black rose--which she was using magic to keep alive out here in the desert--and placed it carefully in her hair as she exited. She was unprepared, really, to face her brother again. She hadn't spoken to him in months. It was only recently that she began to feel really sorry for the things she'd said to him, and wanted to smooth things over. She felt that maybe she should have given Sachiko a chance. She saw how her brother's absence had affected her, and knew that, perhaps in a twisted form, they really did love each other. She noticed the way Daeron was eyeing Seth as she came out. He never did approve of Seth, she knew. This might be troublesome...perhaps even awkward. But, she felt she had a defense if he brought it up. "Hi, Daeron," she said quietly.

"What are you doing with my sist--" Daeron was in the midst of growling out to Seth when Glory appeared, dying his words out. He suddenly felt very awkward with his sister; their last conversation plaguing his mind at that moment. "Hi, Gloriann." Daeron replied in a weak voice as he stared at his sister.
"I'll be inside if you need me." Seth told Glory, feeling that this was a family matter. "I won't be far." He gently stroked her hand as he slipped back into the tent. The blind Rider than channeled the energy around him toward Glory and Daeron. He wouldn't eavesdrop, but if a fight was going to break out, Seth made sure he would be there before Glory was harmed.
*** Daeron watched as Seth slipped away, not missing the comforting gesture that he gave his sister as he left. Daeron's eyes turned back to his sister. "Um, can we talk?" He asked softly, trying to figure out the best approach to apologize or to even become a family again. He promised his Mother that he would, so here he was.

Glory briefly returned Seth's touch as he went inside the tent, leaving her alone with Daeron. A part of her wish he'd stayed, unsure if she could face this alone. But she knew what she had to say with Daeron needed to be said in privacy. Once they were alone, Glory felt awkward. She placed her hands behind her back and stared at the ground, tapping the toe of one shoe against the sand as she often did when she was nervous. Her angry argument with him still rang in her mind, and she couldn't believe the words she had said. He'd been her only family here, and she'd discarded him so quickly because she didn't like Sachiko. "I'm sorry," she told him in a quiet voice, still looking down. "I wish I didn't mean what all I'd said back then, about you...and about Sachiko. I would take them back now if I could. You have every right to choose who you want to be with, just like I do. So I'm sorry..."

Daeron sighed. He knew Glory was having a hard time as he was. "Glory." He began, "we both said things we didn't mean that day." His eyes were distant as he reflected on their argument. "I am sorry for saying those things; you know I have anger issues." He told her, trying to lighten the mood at the same time. "With my time away, I had time to reflect on things, and I know you were just trying to hold my best interest. I just...I just wished that you would hear me out, okay? You're the only family I got here." Daeron finally glanced at his sister, "I love you, but I love Sachi too. She may be different, but she has a good heart - you should at least get to know her before placing any judgements. That's all I ever wanted." He glanced to the tent, and his jaw clenched. "Just like I need to get to know cuddling boy." He sighed. "So...is there any way that we can become family again?" He asked, darting his eyes from the tent and back to his sister.

Glory stood silently and listened as Daeron apologized, and she was glad to know that they were on the same page. Somehow, she felt that out of all her siblings, right now Daeron was the one who understood her the most, and she understood him. She tried very hard to keep the skeptical expression from showing when he mentioned that Sachiko actually had a good heart, but decided to give her a chance. "You're right," she told him. "I really should have given her a chance. I mean, if you like her, then she can't be completely bad, right?" She gave him a small smile. "I just hope...she forgives me for all the nasty things I said about her." She hugged Daeron, then. "I really want us to be a family again, too. You're my big brother, after all." She backed away again and gave him a stern look. "And by the way: his name is Seth, not cuddling boy. And you should start calling him that, if you want me to start calling Sachiko anything other than...what I called her while we were fighting." Really, she couldn't make herself say it again, but the fact that Daeron refused to call Seth by his name annoyed her.

Daeron's features eased into relief as Glory seemed to want to end their fight too and especially to give Sachi a chance. He smiled at his sister. "Thanks, Glory, that means a lot to me." He told her before frowning slightly. He was silent for a moment, debating on something before speaking once more, "All right...I'll call him by his name..." He sighed, but then glanced at her curiously. "You really like him?; how'd you manage to get him here? And! Why are you sharing a tent!" He asked, his eyes narrowed. He would have to interrogate cuddlin---Seth later.

Gloriann grew rather embarrassed at Daeron's sudden interrogation, especially with his last question. How could she ever explain it to him? She felt that even if she told him the truth, he still wouldn't believe that Seth wasn't doing anything with her. Well...if Daeron and Sachiko could spend the entire night sounding like wild animals in heat, then she felt she could at least live with Seth. She glanced down at the ground, a little pale as she considered how to go about explaining things to him. "I..." she took a moment to collect herself. "I tried to kill him." It came out in a whisper, choked by a sob constricting her throat. "I was so enthralled by Katriana's words that...I couldn't even recognize him anymore. It was like, no one important existed for me anymore except her. But then, he told me he loved me...and suddenly everything became clear again. She glanced around, checking to see of anyone else was within earshot. When she was sure she was in the clear, she gazed up at her brother with a tearful expression. "Daeron...I just want to go home. I want to be with Mom and Dad, and with Cortell and Tally and Lyta. This place...what Katriana did to me terrifies me. But I can't leave. She won't let me. It's like...it's like I'm her pet kept on a chain. She's going to kill me if I try to leave." She put her face in her hands, trying to compose herself and meeting only minimal success. "That's why Seth is here. He didn't want to leave me again, and I don't want him to go either. He's staying close to make sure nothing else harms me." ~~~~~ Lysette was being guided through the encampment by three young men, who each apparently already had an eye for her. She was just fine with that; she didn't want to get too bored here while she searched for her father. If she could get them to start fighting each other over her, she knew she could be provided hours or even days of entertainment. But for now, they weren't her main focus. Her eyes scanned the crowds, taking note of the male Shades present. There was quite a number of them. Narrowing down which one was him might take a while. Well, she had time, assuming he didn't do something stupid to get himself killed. If he did, then he probably wouldn't be worth meeting. He should have learned after the first time. Her gaze stopped its roaming when she was standing before a female Shade sitting by a large dragon. What was it that made her so important? Just because she was a Shade with a large lizard, everyone vowed to follow her. Lys really didn't care about following her, but she knew she had to act like it if she wanted to stay.
Katriana eyed the newcomer carefully. The girl had been looking everywhere but her until she stopped. Most people were overwhelmed by the sheer number of people in attendance, but Kat could tell that wasn't what had provoked her wandering eyes. No, she looked more like she was looking for someone. The Shade Rider stood and approached her, studying her intently. She was young, but not so young that she would not remember the days before her king's death. She wondered what brought her here. "And who is this?" she asked, circling around the girl. She didn't even flinch, entirely unafraid. Even uncaring. "This is Lysette," one of the men who had accompanied her put forth, a little eagerly. "She's here to join--" He was silenced by a glance from Kat, who desired to hear the girl speak for herself. "Lysette," the girl repeated for herself. "I am here to join your cause." Her tone was controlled, even a little bored but with a hint of mischief behind it. "Where do you come from, Lysette?" Katriana questioned, wondering why this girl seemed somehow familiar. "Gil'ead. Who I am is of little consequence. I don't care for my home; I am trained and armed. Use me how you will." "Why are you here?" Katriana asked, wanting to know she wasn't any sort of spy. "My business is my own," Lys replied, her eyes briefly lighting like fire before returning to their mellow gaze. "I wish to fight for you. Nasuada is too cowardly, sitting on her throne as if nothing is happening." Katriana and Lysette stared at one another for several long moments; Kat could tell the girl was hiding something, but whatever it was, it seemed of little consequence. "Very well, Lysette, welcome to my army. Have a tent set up for yourself. Later today you will have to demonstrate this training you have had." Lysette gave a slight bow and a smile, before being pulled away by her eager suitors. Katriana sat in silence for several long moments after they were gone, thinking of the girl's mannerisms and appearance. Normally, she would talk it over with Lycus and Van. But instead, she glanced at a Shade who always seemed to spend his time just a few steps away from her--a fact that made the other two quite irritated. "Tyrant," she called softly. "Did you notice our newcomer? What do you think of her?"

Daeron's eyes and ears studied his sister's movements and words as she spoke her tale. He held a neutral expression as he listened intently; he had learned from his mother to hide his emotions well. He was inwardly surprised that Seth loved his sister, but said nothing, processing everything that Gloriann was telling him. Once Glory finished, Daeron moved to embrace his sister. "It seems Seth and I have a common goal: to protect you." He sought his sister's eyes. "I promise you Glory, I won't let you forget yourself. You'll always have a family here; don't be scared or worried. I won't leave you alone again." He promised his sister the best way he could without exposing The Family's plan. It seemed all that he was told about Katriana was true. The Shade Rider was a force that needed to be eliminated. He would not allow her to harm his family. "Well, since Seth and I are your protectors, I guess I have to be nice to him. You two, haven't been, well, intimate have you?" Dearon asked, his face neutral, but there was a slight quiver in his voice at the end, indicating his uncomfortable prying.
*** Tyrant had watched Lysette enter the camp and march her way toward Katriana. The Shade had watched the whole interaction with silent pondering. The girl held an odd familiarity air about her. He could not pinpoint it, not even in Remus or Tyr's memories. He would make sure to keep an eye on this one. He heard his name, and a sly smile appeared on his lips as he appeared before Katriana. He turned his head back to Lysette's retreating back. "Hmm, its odd, I feel nothing for her, Kat." The Shade was intrigued with this indifference feeling; usually he would be feeling the need to go and introduce himself to the opposite gender, in hopes to bed them, but here, he felt nothing. It. Was. Unnatural. "I would keep an eye out for her; if I hold no interest for her, then something about her is not right." Tyrant confessed, narrowing his eyes at this odd feeling.
She holds a prideful aura, milady. Lycus thought to Katriana. She can easily bite back. For once, I agree with Tyrant; she must be watched closely. Lycus replied as he stood behind Katriana, hidden on her left as he watched everything and everyone. On his right, lounged Vanilor, his smoldering eyes lifting slightly as if he was bored. If anyone dare harm Kat, they would cease to exist the very moment they ever thought of it. Vanilor replied, knowing that he would eliminate the threat before such an attempt would be made.
