History: Weiss was born to a human mother and elf father in the city of Silthrim. She was always the very picture of elven elegance and grace, and her singing voice held such a moving beauty.
When her younger sister, Ruby, started training with swords, Weiss also took an interest. Her style of fighting reflected her personality, with refined movements that flowed almost like a dance. She also practiced casting spells and mastered a wide variety of them. When she was fourteen, she had a sword forged for herself, and asked the smith to design it with a dial on the crossguard. In this dial, she placed a number of different gems, which with the energy she placed in them, each powered a different sort of spell.
She was visiting Ellesmera with her father when her mother was killed. Upon their return and discovery, Weiss was inconsolable, her heart shattered. She loved her mother with all her heart; the two had been very close and it was she who encouraged Weiss to practice singing.
Over the time after that, she began to grow more distant from her family, often wandering the woods by herself and singing a heartbreaking song. Only within the last year has she finally snapped out of her sorrowful state and realized that the danger had not yet passed. She resumed her training with her sword, perfecting her skill with magic. She currently resides in Ellesmera with her father, both a guard and a singer in Queen Arya's court.

Weiss read the letter that had been pressed into her hand, and unbelieving smile crossing her face. She looked up at the courier and thanked him sincerely. Then she turned and fairly flew to her father, breathless with her news.
"Father!" she called out to him, "Ruby is alive! She destroyed the Shade that killed Mother! Ruby...Ruby is Shadeslayer!"
