Yeah, yeah...patience is not one of my strong suits. But I actually have a rather decent idea for her character. lol

Character's name: Blake Christina
Character's age: 16
Character's attitude: Blake is a tough fighter, a strong woman, with in truth a caring spirit. She is confused and afraid, but does not let it show. All she really wants in life is to do what is right, but it is difficult when everyone--both inside her head and out--are telling her vastly different things.
Character's Race: human, and a bit of a failed Shade. As such, she is faster and stronger than the average human, but is unable to compete with and elf.
Character's appearance:
Character's allegiance: Neutral, ex-Shade Uprising
Weapons: Blake has a short, square blade that she wears on her back. In actuality, it is two blades, one sheathing the other. The interior blade can be folded down to the hilt which is a tiny, miniature crossbow. In this form, she can throw and direct it with a black ribbon; when the ribbon is taut, it fires the bolt and reloads it at the same time, and the recoil sends the weapon rocketing in another direction.
Other Info: The spirits in Blake are extremely weak and unable to actually control her. However, they have suppressed her memory, giving her amnesia. Also, I am not going to be creating Adam, so if anyone wishes to step into that role, they may do so.
History: Blake was born to a former member of the Black Hand who was hiding from the new rulers of Alagaesia. Growing up, she was taught to hate everything about Nasuada and the Riders. When Katriana started forming her army, Blake immediately found her and volunteered her services.
Among the Shade's army, Blake met her best friend, Adam. They did everything together, and worked together perfectly, flawlessing completing any mission they were sent on. She knows he loves her, but she was too devoted to serving Katriana to focus on anything else.
One mission the two went on together took them into Du Weldenvarden, near the city of Silthrim. It was more of a scouting mission; while infiltrating the outskirts of the city, they came across a store of uniquely crafted weapons, and each stole one. This is how Blake came to possess her weapon.
Several months before the present, Blake was randomly chosen to be made into a Shade, as they needed more stronger forces. She knew it was unlikely that she would even survive, but she was willing to do anything her mistress ordered her to do. When the spirits entered her body, several of them were much stronger than anyone had expected, and they went on a crazed rampage through the encampment before attempting to kill Blake. Every sorcerer under Katriana's command joined forces to subdue the insane, and not quite complete, Shade. They managed to cast out most of the spirits, still believing Blake would not survive.
She surprised them, however, though she was comatose for a week. During that time, Adam never left her side, praying that she would awaken and still be herself. However, only half his wish was granted. When Blake awoke, she did not remember anything, neither about who she was nor anyone else. She only knew what Adam and Katriana would tell her. No one told her about their attempt to turn her into a Shade, and no one told her that a few spirits still remained. As such, when she hears them speaking to her and whenever she occasionally loses control of her actions, she believes she is going mad, and no one will tell her what is really happening. As a resut, she is distrustful of everyone around her, knowing they are keeping some sort of secret from her. So, at the first possible moment, she ran from the Shade's encampment and is attempting to make a real life for herself away from all of that. She is now living as a mercenary for hire, currently waiting for work in Belatona.
Role Play Sample:
I'll be fine, Adam. You'll see. The useless promise hung in Blake's mind as she stood anxiously while the sorcerers did their work. She had seen the others who had gone through this. Most died, and those who didn't were most definately not fine after that. They weren't themselves. She just hoped Adam wouldn't be too disappointed.
She screamed in a combination of pain and terror as she felt some foreign...thing...enter her mind and body, and then another and another. There were so many that she felt as if she were about to explode, and she fell to the ground, writhing. Then everything went dark for her.
***
When she awoke, she felt sore. Her head was pounding, her body aching. Where was she? And, more importantly, who was she? She fished around in her mind for something, but all that remained were instincts.
"Blake!" a voice said from beside her. She felt her hand grasped in another, and she turned to gaze at the man. The way he gazed at her told her that she should know him, but she couldn't even remember a name.
"Don't you ever pull that on me again, Blake. You have any idea how worried I was?" She gazed at him blankly for a few moments.
"Sorry," she said, in a slightly sassy tone. Somehow instinctual. He smirked at her and brushed back her hair.
"Glad to see you're still you," he said. "Now rest. You need to get back to full strength. I won't be pulling these missions off by myself." He turned to go, but she still held his hand.
"Wait," she said. She slowly sat up. "Who...are...No, forget that question. Who am I?"
