Sebastian did his best to stifle the yawn that formed in his mouth. The journey to the darwven city was anything but dull and mundane. Of course, he was assigned to come and help the dwarven army by the Council, but that did not mean that he would enjoy it all the way. He thought he would have seen excitement by now, and perhaps, the fact that he would not be around Maude had placed him in a foul mood.
Thinking of the Red Rider, Sebastian inwardly sighed. He had learned much from her (especially that she did not desire him for a husband, much to his dissatisfaction) and thought, he had grown under her strict and blunt guidance. He no longer was as selfish as before, nor as arrogant, though he still displayed those attributes. No, Maude had brought something out of him and for that, he had begun to fall in love with her; no one else was able to see that side of him. His only dilemma was that she was in love with Ian.
A gruff voice caught his attention, driving Maude from his thoughts, and Sebastian quickly stood in attention.
"Welcome Ambassador." The dwarf at the gate saluted in a monotone voice.
Ambassador. Sebastian wanted to cringe at the word. Since he was not a Rider, the Council had placed him under the title of Ambassador; a representative for Bromsland. Of course, along with an actual rider (who had yet to show). Sebastian gave a polite nod toward the dwarf.
"Thank you." Sebastian replied.
"Your companion Rider and Dragon arrived a day ago, Ambassador." The dwarf continued to speak. "They rest over there," he pointed into the city, toward the grand towers, "along with the other companions that have arrived on the Dragon Rider Council's behalf. You are expected to meet with King Orik and his Advisors tonight to discuss plans. Follow me!" The dwarf commanded and Sebastian obeyed, not wanting to get lost un the underground city. His mouth fell down in awe as he walked within the caverns of the great city, idly wondering when he would see his companions so they could discuss plans; he was dying for some action.
