Character's name: Stiarna Dreyma
Character's age: 16
Character's attitude: Usually carefree, calm and relaxed, liking to be in open spaces. She loves making friends and it's really open and kind to anyone new she meets, always wanting to help. When bored she can be a little too childish and hyperactive, sometimes annoying her friends a little with it. She prefers to talk instead of fighting, but will turn really aggressive if she needs to. She's also really curious, always exploring any unknown zone she can find and getting into places where she shouldn't be, what usually can get her into lots of trouble. Fortunately for her, luck always seems to stay at her side, so she usually manages to get out of said troubles with only a few bruises and scratches. She likes riddles, so it isn't unusual to see her creating new ones, writing them or even talking to her friends with them, what is usually confusing. She can spend hours day-dreaming, no matter where she is or with who. She also loves to draw. She's always optimistic, mainly emotional, lead by her instincts. It's really hard to make her get angry. She always thinks the best of everybody and never is distrustful towards anyone unless they betray her, and even with that she thinks that everybody deserves a second chance.
Character's Race: Human
Character's appearance: She likes to wear loose trousers, comfortable shoes and a black short sleeved shirt covered with a grey short hooded cloak. She likes to let her almost completely straight hair free, her hair reaches only two inches below her shoulders and it's always a little messy, its color is a very dark grey, almost black, with three silver stripes. Her height is something around 5.3 ft and her eyes are emerald green with a silver ring on the border of the iris. Her voice is usually calm and relaxed, always with a friendly and sometimes even childish tone. She always wears a necklace with a small silver dragon in it. She has her Gedwëy ignasia in her right hand.
Character's allegiance: Neutral (May change)
Weapons: She usually uses a light chain armor when battling, since she feels that heavy armors restrict her movements, making her usually quick and agile movements be slow and clumsy, giving her some disadvantage. She always carries with her a bow and some arrows, but she rarely uses them, since long range battles aren’t exactly one of her strengths, so she usually uses her sword or daggers when she haves to fight. As any dragon rider, she can use magic, but she’s still really new to said subject and can’t control it very well, so she prefers to not use it at all unless it’s really necessary.
Other Info: She’s really good with medicinal herbs and a splendid tracker.
History: She was born in a merchant caravan, just in the middle of a snowstorm when they were near of The Spine. Unluckily her mother was sick the day she was born, so she wasn't strong enough and died while giving birth to her. Her father gave her mother's name at her, thanks to how much she looked like her.
Her father took really good care of her while she grew up. Her father started to teach her how to read, write and other things at a very early age, so she could help him with his work in the caravan. Her father was a merchant of gems and rare artifacts, so it didn't took long for her to learn everything about the subject.
In all her free time, her curiosity showed up fully, always talking with other merchants and members of the caravan, and when they stopped in a village, town or city she tried to find out as much as possible about the place and make some friends in the process.
In one of her expeditions she found out about medicinal herbs and immediately grew attracted to it. With all the money she managed to gather she bought some books and scrolls to learn more. Like a sponge, she started to absorb all the knowledge she could, sometimes with the written information, sometimes by own experience, learning a lot about the medicinal herbs, how to use them, between other things, adding said knowledge to her father's work, what helped to earn some extra money for them from time to time.
When she started to search for all the ingredients and herbs mentioned on the scrolls to do potions and other stuff she developed a great speed, agility, sense or orientation (Even at night) and some tracking skills that were especially useful when she had to search the caravan after one of her expeditions because they didn't stopped moving at all in their trips between towns.
Years passed normally, she helping out her dad with his work, learning new stuff about medicinal herbs and other things with her trips. Her general culture and knowing about what was happening in Alagaësia, both from trustful people, soldiers and story tellers. She usually didn't told this knowledge to anyone unless they asked, then she usually told to them all what she knew about the subject, but always keeping the caravan's neutral posture to not insult or anger anyone.
When she was 14 the caravan got attacked, she wasn't sure why or who attacked the caravan, she only knew one thing in that moment, that her father died by the hand of whoever attacked them. It took her a while to get over that, but with some help of the remaining people of the caravan she managed to return to her usual self and took over her father's work with everything that was left, using all the experience she could gather and the help of the rest of the caravan. But with the attack the fear spread through the survivors, and they took their own way, she wasn't the exception.
Two years after curiosity made her travel to the New Doru Arabea, while walking around the rider's homeland, careful to not mess with anyone, her steps guided her to the place where the dragon eggs destined to riders were kept. She never had seen an egg before, and nobody was around to tell her where she was. She got close to a purple egg with a few black markings and placed her hand on it with curiosity and, to her surprise, a baby dragon came out of it almost immediately.
Dragon info
Name: Myrkr
Age: Newborn
Attitude: Unlike Stiarna, he's usually threatening and aggressive, not showing his feelings to anyone unless necessary. The only person he fully trusts is his rider, and even sometimes he questions her actions. He is really distrustful towards anyone he doesn't meets, always ready to fight till death. It's easy to make him angry, when he gets really enraged it can be really hard to calm him down, especially if Stiarna isn't around. He's really protective towards Stiarna and wouldn't leave her side as long as he can, knowing that the world is full of dangers. He owns all the caution that Stiarna lacks, and that will surely save her from several unpleasant things that could happen to her otherwise. He can tolerate and answer some of Stiarna's riddles, but can get easily annoyed if she starts talking only with them.
Appearance: His scales have a diamond shape and are apparently thicker than an usual dragon's scales, but that doesn't restricts his movements at all or any other ability. He have several stripe-like black markings around his body and wings, his back is completely black and slowly merges to purple for the rest of the scales of his body. His horns look a little like a goat's, but without losing their dragon characteristics. His claws, horns and spikes are completely black, he have two long markings that start on the middle muzzle and end a little behind of his bright purple eyes, what makes them look almost like a mask. He has a double set of four long spikes on the end of his tail. He has something resembling a membrane between his toes that helps him out while swimming. His body build is mostly brawny and sturdy, but still flexible enough to allow him to perform aerial combat once his wings are fully developed, his wings already look strong enough to lift him easily.
Role Play Sample: Stiarna walked calmly around the New Doru Arabea, looking at all the dragons and riders around, the variety of colors and sized of said dragons was incredible. She couldn’t help but wish the she had a dragon too sometimes, but those thoughts went away as soon as they came, she never thought that a creature as beautiful and magnificent as a dragon would ever hatch for her at all, since she had been only a merchant of a caravan all her life, and since the people of the caravan decided that it was time for them to take different paths, she had became a lone merchant that traveled from place to place as she pleased, buying stuff that she needed for her travels and selling her own merchandise. She wasn’t in a high place between people, and she wasn’t even in a high place between merchants at all, but she didn’t cared, she liked to be as she was, traveling freely around Alagaësia and doing as she pleased. Plus, if a dragon hatched for her, she would have to choose a side sooner or later, what meant that she wouldn’t be neutral anymore and would have to worry for each side’s doings.
She simply pushed these thoughts aside, not wanting to ruin her visit to the mighty New Doru Arabea. She took a deep breath and kept walking around calmly, she knew that usually only riders or potential soon-to-be-riders came to the rider’s home, so she considered herself lucky of being in said place after all, she had been carried there as a payment from a wizard she met in one of her travels, a wizard that liked to go there and talk with the riders. Since he couldn’t afford to pay the herbs he needed so much they just made a deal; the wizard would let her go with him to New Doru Arabea in exchange of the precious herbs. As she walked she looked at the training young riders and the older ones teaching them, or simply riders that were having a good time while they had some free time. She let her steps guide her around the magnificent place, soon coming to a place that looked important, she entered, silently as a shadow, with curiosity shinning in her eyes, luckily for her she was too silent to let the guards notice her, or maybe the guards were simply distracted or didn’t cared.
Walking around the halls of said place, it didn’t took long for her to find a place full of what looked to be large gems of every color she could think of. Since she had never seen a dragon egg before, she didn’t knew that she was in front of the eggs destined to the dragon riders. She gently touched the smooth surface of some eggs, her curiosity appearing again, she had never seen anything like that in her life, she touched a couple more, noticing the vivid colors in them as well as the round smooth surface that somehow was warm. She then placed her hand on a purple one with some black markings, one that somehow attracted her more than the rest. It only took a few seconds to hear her a loud *Crack*, making her take a step backwards as the shell of the egg started to break, soon revealing a baby purple dragon with black markings, horns, claws and spikes, that opened his eyes, looking at her with his wide open purple eyes. Stiarna walked closer to the hatchling and petted him softly with her right hand, feeling an odd and powerful sensation that made her take back her hand. After a couple of minutes she managed to recover and looked at her hand, that now held a bright silver marking. She looked at the hatchling and picked it up softly, forgetting about the whole world and the thoughts that she had built to avoid feeling attracted to become a dragon rider. In that exact moment, in her arms, she had a baby dragon, her baby dragon, and she was his rider, anything else didn’t matter at all.
