Character's age: 17
Character's attitude: Brave, daring, clever, confident and stubborn. Also has a very laid back temper and rarely shows her emotions.
Character's Race: Human
Character's appearance: Black hair with a blue highlight, dark, mossy green eyes, slim build, dresses in a black jacket and black fabric pants. Wears brown boots and a silvery-blue rapier at her hip.
Character's allegiance: Dragon Riders
Weapons: Wears a silvery-blue rapier and six silver hunting knives. Only wears a chain link chest plate in battle.
Other Info: Has a pet werecat and a friendship with a wild dragon. (as close as Rider and dragon, travels with her, but not bonded by hatching. Still has a Gedewy Ignasia, and speaks with her mind.)
History: Vanae grew up as the eldest daughter of Ismira, Katrina's daughter. She lived with Roran and her mother in Carvahall's palace. She worked hard around town, being a blacksmith's apprentice for four years (10-14). Then she began to wander around a bit more, occasionally accompanied by her younger brother Lucas, who would become the heir to Carvahall. In Surda, she met the werekitten who she would eventually come to know very well. He was stuck in a rain barrel, unknowing of his power, being pelted by boys with stones and with his golden pelt slick with oily water. She picked up a small leaf and folded it into a whistle, blowing a shriek on it. The boys stopped and she strode down to the rain barrel. Pulling out the kitten, she brought him to her hotel room and named him Glaedr, after the dragon Roran had known; also gold. They formed a friendship and have fought together since. Now he knows he's a werecat; still named Glaedr.
Role Play Sample: Scrambling up the thatched roof of a village hut, she swiftly pulled Glaedr up; as he preferred to travel in his human form. They leapt from there onto a tall spire of rock protruding from the looming mountain in front of them. Leaping onto more solid, rocky ground, Vanae trotted swiftly up the etched path. Bromsland! She had been sent by Father to meet Eragon. He would probably be too busy for her, so she had decided to explore. She could hear rumbles of dragons atop the mountain. Climbing quickly, she reached the top and gazed at the dragons watching her. Protecting her mind with a unmovable wall, she advanced on the dragons. "Hello." She spoke in a whisper. Then a young hatchling approached her. Squatting on the rocky ground, she reached out with her mind. Touching the dragon's mind was eerie. It was like wandering a maze of mirrors. With absolutely no sound. My name is Vanae. she told the dragon. Reaching out, she laid a hand on its broken wing and healed it with a swift spell. Squawking, it flapped back to its mother. Thank you. it said.
