Still not sure when I'll have time to actually play, but I wanted to make the character while I still have the inspiration.

Character's name: Raven
Character's age: 22
Character's attitude: Raven is quiet, fearless, and brave. She keeps a cool head in nearly any circumstance. She trusts in her anonymity and her birds, but little else. She is swift and silent, but prefers not to be deadly. She can be witty when prompted into banter, and is obviously intelligent.
Character's Race: human
Character's appearance:
Raven wears a long black cloak over a short black tunic. She wears gloves and boots. She keeps her ebony tresses pulled back in a ponytail.
UPDATE:
When she's out gathering information, she wears tattered rags, blending in seamlessly with the beggars she used to be a part of. Hiding in plain sight this way allows her to hear and see more than if she dressed formally to impress. No one notices the homeless unless they make themselves noticed.
When she is at home or conducting formal business, she is much more groomed and better clothed. She looks and acts respectable, and the nobility have even invited her to their gatherings from time to time.
She also keeps her left arm completely covered, showing only the fingertips if anything. Her arm was broken in about five places when she was caught in the crossfire of an encounter between the Empire and the Shade's forces, and although it has healed and is fully functional, it is badly disfigured.
Character's allegiance: Neutral
Weapons: Raven is an expert with her sword, but her more deadly weapon by far is her enormous flock of trained ravens that will attack when she calls them.
Other Info: Her potential allegiance may be swayed in either direction. To Nasuada or Katriana she could prove to be a valuable ally.
History: Raven was an orphan in Dras-Leona, growing up on the streets and fighting for scraps. She was nameless for several years, like most of the street kids of the city. The city guards were more or less the ones who named them, though not out of any sort of compassion. They were called things like "Rat," "Dog," and "Roach." Because she showed a tendency to climb buildings and perch with the rest of the birds, the guards named her "Crow." The kids would then give themselves kinder, or more amusing versions of these names. Rat became Mouse, Dog became Pup, and Roach became Beetle. The girl known as Crow soon became acknowledged as Raven.
By the time she was four years old, while Galbatorix still ruled the Empire, Raven learned how to spy for people and sell information to them. It was the best sort of work the poor children could perform. No one ever notice them, and they saw everything. Raven was always able to get a good vantage point on people from her perch, and could tell her employer exactly where his target was.
When she was five, Raven came across a fallen black bird in the streets. At this point, she still mostly went by the name Crow. She took compassion on the bird, which had a broken wing, and took it to the home of a kind old man who would sometimes give the poor children some warm food during the winter. He helped her nurse it back to health, and he told her that this bird was not a crow, as she had assumed, but rather a raven. When it was restored, she thought it was the most magnificent creature she had ever seen, and so she took on its name for herself. The bird remained her companion for a number of years, and she make a home for it near the spot on the street where she lived. Once or twice a year, another bird would come around for a while, and they would lay eggs. Raven continued to care for and train these young birds, and though they would scatter from her as they grew older, they never forgot her training, and in her later years they would still respond to her call throughout Alagaesia.
When she was eight years old, two years after the overthrow of Galbatorix, Raven was found by Elaine and Dublin, and was brought to live in their orphanage. Raven had a bit of difficulty adjusting to her new life of love and discipline where before she had been lonely yet free to do as she wished. Her adoptive parents taught her how to use a sword for defense. They also helped her build a large coop where here birds could stay, as every year a few more seemed to choose to stay with or return to her. Most of the birds seemed to eat just about anything she offered them, though some seemed to prefer fresh meat while others seemed more satisfied with corn and fruit. They all have learned to attack on her command. By this time, she has trained likely hundreds of ravens, many of which are flying free throughout the land, and no matter where she is, any number of them will come when she calls.
Raven has in recent years moved out of her adoptive parents' house into a small place of her own. She has returned to her prior work as a spy, being paid to watch people, though the job is a bit more difficult now that she is no longer an unnoticeable child. At the moment she has no disposition toward the war, seeing good and bad in both sides. A measure of persuasion could earn her support from either one.
Over time, her work grew from a simple spy operation to a full information-brokerage. She has a relatively large home in Teirm, where she receives guests and conducts business. Everyone knows she has discovered countless personal secrets from just about every respectable house in the Empire, and she will sell those secrets without bias, so long as her clients are willing to pay her steep prices. If someone wants her to find specific dirt on an individual, the cost increases significantly. No one but her single butler knows exactly how she gathers her information.
She has two methods by which she gathers her information. First, she takes a few days to prepare, locking herself in her bedroom, wearing nothing but rags and going without bathing until one night when she slips out of the house and onto the streets, taking the position of a beggar. She will sit near the residences of the wealthy, chatting casually with street urchins about what they've seen and heard, and observing things for herself. These methods are shockingly effective, and she is night unrecognizable to those who know her only as their wealthy informant.
Her second method is through her ravens, and one in particular. An older bird who is called Maurice once rescued a magician from an attack by the Shade Rider's forces. As thanks, the magician blessed the bird with intelligence and a longer life. Although Maurice cannot audibly speak and can't reach out with his own mind, anyone who touches his mind will find a very cognitive and articulate being. Since Raven learned of this blessing he received, he has shown himself very resourceful in helping her business; birds are even more invisible than beggars, and he can spy through high windows. When he wants to speak to Raven, he will caw to get her attention. They have had some very lively conversations in the past.
Role Play Sample:
Raven sat low on the edge of the rooftop, watching the people below. They all seemed to be milling about in a disorderly fashion, but it was strangely rhythmic. Years had passed by and still the people of Dras-Leona went in the same patterns, tracing almost their exact same steps day after day. It was a pattern only discernible to one who had studied them for years.
Beside her, one of her pets gave a shrill call, impatient. He seemed anxious for something to happen. She gently stroked his black feathered head as she finally picked out her target. Still visiting the same shops, still patting the poor children on the head or shoulder while they held out their hands expectantly for whatever morsel he'd brought to them today. He glanced up at her roof--probably another habit he had developed over the years--and gave her a smile and a wave. Then a look of surprise crossed his face as he recognized her, and he waved her down. She scurried down, and her raven glided after her, perching on her shoulder.
"My dear little bird," he said, patting her shoulder the same way he had to the children. "It has been a long time."
"That it has, old man," Raven agreed, giving him a warm smile.
