Do they all have to be on the same mission? And do they have to be with the varden, I mean wouldn't the Ancients prefer there freedom like the old riders who weren't controlled by anyone. They might side with someone but not be under there rule.

The ancient riders do count as a cannon, and you can create your own mission.

I based my decision on them to be varden mainly because Oromis was, and because I doubt they would ally themselves with Galbatorix after what he has done. But, perhaps I'm wrong. Maybe I'll put it to a vote.

Oromis wasn't with the varden they didn't even know he existed till Eragon told them and not even Queen Islandai could boss him around.

The riders would want to overthrow Galbatorix yes, but they wouldn't Subjugate themselves to be bossed around by the varden either.

I'm not saying they shouldn't work with the varden or anything but they would be asked not ordered. They might want to take over the varden themselves, or start there own faction.

Think of it this way, Imagine you were once part of the most feared, respected and noble order in history, who were independent of any nation and used to taking orders from no one except from the council of that order, would you want to swear undying loyalty to a rag of rebels lead by a young girl who has only been in charge for a couple of years?

Some might feel that Galbatorix was in the right that the order had grown too lazy or might feel they were banished in all but name. Just because they're riders doesn't mean they don't have views and personalities and are all in agreement with each other.

Margh!! My jealousy has gotten the better of me. There's not much I can do with Elva after you update the site, anyway. So I think I'm gonna give her up for one of these Riders.
Or maybe I could still play Elva until someone else makes an app for her, like you did with Galbatorix, Trinn? Or was that something special since he was needed so much?

To answer you, Kenzaeko, I understand all your points. Its not like I'm saying all the ancient riders are lifeless. That would be ridiculous. And I think Oromis was with the varden, he just didn't make it known because he didn't want to risk Galbatorix finding him. But we each have our own opinion on that matter. You have swayed me to allow the ancients to chose their own side.

Jeriah, Galbatorix was indeed a speical case, as he was needed so much. However, if the moment arrives when Elva is needed in such a way, I will allow you to play her then, but only then. And I'm working on the plot. I should have it finished and posted today.
