Sorrel
Sorrel is young and innocent, loves to have fun, and is pretty much a normal 8 year old. His love for nature makes him not much of a violent person and only hurts when he has too. On the other hand, when the spirits living inside of him decide to act up, he is merciless and kills anything in his way to becoming king. The spirits make him menacing and hurtful, though for some reason towards his sister Raine, they allow him to act normal to her.
Raine
Raine is quiet and timid. She is a professor at a small university in Melian. She is smart and reserved, but when it comes to teaching, she isn't easy to take advantage of. When at home, she is like a mother to Sorrel, who never got to meet her or his father. She cares deeply for her young brother and whenever the spirits take him over, she tries to calm them down to get her brother back.

Weapons: Sorrel carries a hand-and-a-half sword at his waist, and a dagger in his belt. Raine carries a long dagger at her waist and two small daggers in her belt.
Other Info: Sorrel is a very young rider and Raine is accompanied by a werecat by the name of Reku. Reku is night black and has lavender eyes, his personality being that of a sarcastic, yet loving animal.
History: Raine was born 15 years before Sorrel in the city of Melian. Their mother died while giving birth to Sorrel, and their father is still alive somewhere in the world of Alagaesia. He left the two children when Sorrel was 3, and they have not heard of him since. Raine raised Sorrel most of his life. When Sorrel was 5 and Raine was 20, they traveled to Uru'baen for some meeting with a nobleman and on they're way back, they found a snow white dragon egg that hatched for Sorrel. A week later, Melian was attacked by a shade named Reku, who was killed by a random man who died from his injuries. The spirits that had been contained in him found their way to Sorrel and inhabited him. Many doctors tried to get them out, but nothing prevailed. Two years later, another mysterious thing happened. Early in the morning a small cat was left on the steps of Raine and Sorrel's house. Raine took it inside and cared for it, naming him Reku after the shade when she found out he was a werecat. Now, they are living their lives as normal as possible with Sorrel being a half shade and being a dragon rider.
Role-Play Sample: Raine's eyes swept over the classroom, her eyebrows raised. "Anyone want to tell me who wrote this?" She lifted up a single piece of paper and smiled slightly. Some of the kids in the room laughed, while others just shook their heads and continued their work. Raine and shook her head smiling and put the love note back on her desk. A knock at her door interrupted the students once again. The door opened and a head with long silver hair and lavender eyes appeared. "Sorrel?" He gestured for her to come out. Raine got up and gave the class a daring look, then disappeared into the hallway. "Sorrel, what are you doing he-" "Raine! Listen, Thade is gone!"

Personality: Thade is like an exact duplicate of Sorrel's personality. She has a good outlook on life and hates hurting anything. When the spirits inside of Sorrel take over, Thade tries to scare them away or tries to bring Sorrel out. She hates when it happens and has vowed to bring them out of him whether it's the last thing she does.
