Pearl sat next to her her father's cooling body, weeping. Her black tresses fell around her face like a mourning veil. She sighed through her tears. "He was a good man," she said to herself, "He deserves a burial, but I can't give it to him myself." She closed his eyes. "And I cannot afford someone's services to do it. I might try to see if someone would be willing to do it without cost, but no one is so kind in this city." She kissed her father's dead hand, then stood. "Thank you, Daddy," she told him, "You were better than any father I ever deserved." Then she left to beg for a scrap of food.

(OOC- I assume this is in Uru'baen)
Andril sat on top of a building, hidden from veiw. She watched the entire scene. Tears streaked down her face. It isn't fair Vanidor. she sobbed Nothing is fair. The least you can do is bury him for her. the dragon rumbled in her mind. I will. Why? Why do we live here? Why not in one of the lands the ancients came back from? One without war and death?Because we live here. To end this war. Andril nodded and climbed down the building. She sat quietly by the body of the man and waited for the girl to come back. Her hood was pulled completely over her face. Why was she in the Empire? Because she had sensed something here. She needed to find someone. But who? It had been really hard to get into the city. And she was despretly afraid that Senor was going to magicly show up and unveil her. She glanced out in the street and saw something that made her heart stop. Nextith. The elf had been like a brother to her. He had taken care of her. He was shoving a street child around. Not caring about the danger, she stepped in between them. "You shouldn't do that." she said. "Who are you to stop me?" he mocked. "I am the peacekeeper." "Peacekeeper?! Ha! As if there could be such a thing. And you've landed yourself in the middle of a fight." he drew his sword. "You really have changed brother." Andril murmured. His expression changed to one of horrer. "No... no! You have to leave. He'll make me hurt you. NO" he turned and ran down the street. She turned to find the urchin looking at her with wide eyes. The little girl turned and ran down the street. Andril sighed and went back over to the boy. "I still love you Nextith." she murmured.
************************
Nextith sat up above Andril. He would gaurd her. Nothing would hurt her. "I still love you Nextith." he heard her murmur. No you don't. No one could love a monster. He held his head in his hands and cried.

Pearl was walking toward the market place when a little girl ran up to her. She recognized her as Lilia, another street girl. "What's wrong, Lily?" she asked her. The girl was terrified. "There was a man who pushed me and he and this lady started getting into a fight!" Lilia grabbed her hand. "You gotta stop them, Pearl!" Pearl followed the girl back up the street she had just left. She found a woman standing there, but not the man Lilia had told her about. She came to a stop. Lilia jerked her hand down and whispered to her. "That's her! That's the lady who was getting into the fight." Pearl nodded and straightened, picking the child up in her arms. She gave a wide smile to the woman. "Hello," she said.

occ: Time for me and my crazy little characters to join, but the choices!!!!!
His hair flicked softly in the breeze as his cold hate filled eyes surveyed the land around him. His eyes penetrated the deepest shadows of the city looking for some fun and someone to hurt or slay. As he walked lightly over the houses below a sound caught his ear. The sound of misery and crying. He smiled wildly his sharpened teeth sparkling and malicious glee as he jogged over the buildings his special cloak making no noise as it snapped in the wind.
The monster was a house away as he viewed the scene below him his eyes taking in every detail even Nextith standing above the little girl and the warrior women. He chuckled audibly his somehow musically deep voice echoed in the street. As he finished he hopped down landing with a small thud. As he looked around he smiled and walked forward. Terezz had arrived.

Andril was about to return the girl's greeting when a large man stepped into veiw. "Get behind me!" she ordered. She pushed the girl behind her and drew Draumr. The sword seemed to sing a song of death. Nextith jumped down beside her. "Oh, look who decided to come back." Andril said sarcasticly. "You certainly haven't lost your touch little sister." he grunted. He drew two wicked looking blades. "State your bussiness." Andril calmly ordered the man.
********************
Vanidor whimpered. It was all he could do not to roar in fury, much less fly in to his Rider's side. His wings furled and unfurled. Andril, we must join minds. It will help me not fly in. Agreed. Their minds became one. Andril could smell the intruder. Something wasn't right about him. He smelled human, yet... A halfblood. That is the only explination. she observed. Yes, but what? I don't know.
*************
Nextith sensed that Andril and her dragon had joined minds. Good, we're not alone. It seems like things can't get any worse. Just as he finished that thought, a gust of wind blew Andril's hood down. Her elven features were exposed. The dragon traits were also visible.

Pearl nearly dropped Lilia in surprise when a large man jumped in front of them. The girl started screaming and crying at all the noise that came after that. Pearl soothed her. "Lily, why don't you go find your brother, okay? He'll take care of you." She set the child down and sent her off away from the strangers. Then she rose. She noted that while the woman and another man who appeared drew weapons, the first man only looked large and threatening. She stepped calmly between them all without fear or hesistation. She smiled. "Welcome to my home," she told them all, "though I'm afraid it's not much. Do you come peacefully?"

occ: Thanks for the welcome.lol
Terezz's silver black eyes gleamed excitedly as he looked upon the blades pointed at him and the hostility radiating off his new enemies.None appreciated hate and fear more than Terezz though and he opened his arms wide basking in the feeling and then returning a look of pure hatred to both of the elves.
Terezz thingyed an eyebrow was a young girl stepped up a little younger than him even though he had no idea how old he was. The magic users in the castle for all their strength said he was between twenty and twenty five yet could give no definite answer. "Is it I who holds the visible weapons or them?" With that Terezz pointed with one of his two inch long claws at the women who thought she could order him around and the other he knew as Nextith. Then as he considered the order he laughed showing off his impressive canines and he clapped two of his hands together the thick muscles on his amrs clenching and rolling as he released.

Andril scowled at the man. She gasped in surpise as her hood fell back. Nextith groaned. She was clearly a Rider. and any fool would realize that she wasn't from the empire. She answered the man's question none the less. "It it I who jumped into an ally where two young women were conversing. It is only a natural response." Indeed, halfling. thought Vanidor audibly. Vanidor! Too late. Some people in the street had stopped to stare at her.

Another stupid rider of course. Terezz hated everything yet one of the few hings he hated more than others were Riders. They always thought themselves better than others due to the fact a giant iguana wanted to be their friend. He didn't chuckle this time as she spoke but he did give her an icy smile. "I have the privilege to do almost anything I want. I work for the King and can drop in on anyone I chose to." His voice echoed out like a deep growl and Terezz shrugged his giant shoulders as he turned to the people watching them and let out a deep roar. The people ran as a frozen snarl met any who looked back.

Andril snorted. "Who or who doesn't work for the king isn't of my concern. " Thats it. said Vanidor finally. NO! Too late. The large black dragon landed on top of the building and roared at Terezz. The roar died into a snarl. Impressive. said Nextith sarcasticly. Why don't you go ask Galbatorix if he wants to have tea while your at it.

Pearl watched unimpressed at everyone's display of force. Power held no allure for her, nor did it frighten her. She had seen all sorts during her years in Uru'baen growing up. She did not even flinch at the dragon that appeared. She looked between everyone there. "Well, if you're going to do nothing except threaten each other here, I am afraid I cannot remain. I must go and ask the kind people in the town if they could spare a coin or a piece of bread. If you are still here when I return, we can settle down and I can give you a meal. Though I regret it won't be much."

Never taking her eyes off Terezz, Andril unhooked her purse and gave it to the girl. "I have no need of it." she said. Sure enough, a red dragon hovered over them. Senor glared down at the scene. He saw Andril and an expression of immense longing crossed his features.

Tanner was walking along a side street when a little girl flew past him, whimpering. He quickly jogged after her until he caught up to her. She had stopped beside an a boy who looked about 17. Tanner tapped the little girl on the shoulder. She quickly turned around, fear in her eyes. The boy gave Tanner a fierce look. "What do you want?" The boy's voice was snarly. Tanner gave them both a half-smile. "I just saw this little girl running and I thought maybe she needed help." Not until then did he notice they were both dressed in rags. The little girl smiled...kinda. "Yeah...there's a wolf-like creature in the alley over the-" The boy quickly clasped a hand over the little girl's mouth. "Leave us. Now." Tanner nodded slowly. "That I shall." Tanner slowly walked away, towards the alley the little girl had pointed at. Turning the corner of the alley, he suddenly approached a group of people and two dragons. Tanner stopped, surprised at the dragons' presence. "Woa."

OOC: dragons...in a tiny alley...in a large city...lol! There is something a little wrong with this picture, but oh well.
Pearl accepted the purse with wide eyes. She had never expected anyone to give her so much money. "Thank you," she said. She glanced among all her "guests," which now included two dragons and another young man. "Though at the rate people are visiting, I doubt I'll still be able to feed anyone much of anything. However, you all are still welcome here."

Terezz only laughed as the dragon tried to scare him. He held no fear for any creature just hate. He snarled at it and then stuck his tongue out his black silver eyes glinting with malicious delight as another dragon came. Almost as soon as the dragon came a scent caught Terezz's nose. He turned and sure enough a young boy was standing at the end of the alley. "Ah it seems I came to a big gathering!" He grinned as he walked to the wall opposite of the dragon and leaned aginst it. "This is going to be fun!"
