OOC: hehe im cunning...lol. thanks mica lol.
Once Marola landed onto the ground, Einar lithely followed suite. He landed with ease; it barely bent his knees when he did. Stigandr immediately bent down to allow Einar to remove the saddle and packs from his back. Placing it in a good spot, he allowed the others to begin setting up camp while he wandered in search for some wood; they would make a small fire, so not to alert the Varden of their position.
Stigandr squeezed inside the tight cave and into the darkness, intending to surprise any unwelcomed visitors if he would get the chance, although, he made it easier for them to pick him as a target as well. He sighed at himself, if they dared to anyways. Kneeling down, he laid his head onto the ground, watching as his silver eyes reflected off of the lingering light that entered the cave.

Kalri looked at the others, her gaze fixing upon Einar. ‘Sabonth? You know what is happening to me.’ Sabonth sighed softly, the burst of air from her nostrils caused a cloud of dirt to rise from the ground. ‘Yes little one I feel it.’ Kalri closed her eyes as she leaned her head back. ‘I need to learn how to control it before it controls me.’ She kept her eyes closed though she could feel the others as she spoke to Sabonth. ‘I need help Sabonth.’ She opened her eyes, settling them once again on Einar. ‘He could help. His knowledge and skills could help me control it, focus it, even bend it to my will.’ She let out a sigh, closing her eyes again. ‘He would never.’ She cut off her mental words but the thought still lingered in her head. Her eyes opened again, this time she followed his movements.

Equinox blinked at her words, surprised at how Galbatorix would act. He stared at a wall, deep in thought. He opened his mouth to say something, but closed it again, going to consult Góùréd first.
'Góùréd, did you hear that?' If Galbatorix won't offer a peace treaty for her, then the Varden might feel complied to execute her. I could not stand to have that happen, my love for her is strong. I would surely do something I might regret later.' The young elf gave a sigh, and looked away, his eyes staring into the distance.
'When the time comes, you shall know what to do Equinox. Do not fret, my young elf. Everybody is always distraught when it comes to matters of the heart, and I will stick by the decision you make when it comes to that.' The golden dragon shifted his weight, snorting out a bit of fire.
Góùréd listened to Viel's words, a snarl on his face. 'I would suppose the dark King would do that. Leave his allies and servants in the dark, his monstrous plans acting their ways out. You are probably expendable in his mind, don't you see? We can help you.' The dragon's anger subsided he stared at her, locking both of his golden eyes onto hers.

Viel's lips curled in a snarl, a slow grating snarl rolling throug her chest. We are expendable for the good of the empire, imbecile. I would give my life if it meant Galbatorix's plans would come to fruition. ***
Elaine tapped the hilt of her sword, shuffling questions through her mind. Vana seemed willing enough to give answers, but she also seemed genuinely unknowing. The empire rider stared at the wall, her blond hair shimmering in the torchlight. Turning to Equinox, she whispered, "I think we should regroup with Nasuada, make further plans for her." Her shoulders lifted and then fell in a shrug. "We need to ask the right questions, and I'm suddenly weary from the battle."

OOC: wow, it's been a long time since anyone posted on here. In a way, this thread almost seems irrelivant to Marola's story. This was so...long ago! lol
Marola observed each of her companions carefully. She knew none of them very well. She had taken no interest in the other Riders before she became one herself. All she ever did was nurse her need for vengeance. Einar...he was probably the one she trusted the most, which was not much. He was loyal to Galbatorix and follow his word without question. Marola had no doubt that he would always remain loyal to their king. (ooc: lol! she's a bad judge of character) Kalri. Marola couldn't help but wonder who this woman was. She was mysterious and dark. Marola was suspicious of her. Lathem. The boy was insane, she had no doubt. He may be calm now, but after that outburst he had when he first came into the palace, she would always question his mental capacity. She stroked Rauthr's head gently and settled down, waiting to continue their mission. The sooner it was completed, the better.

The golden dragon blinked one great golden eye and stared intently at her. 'How can you say such foolishness? The king has bewitched you with such mad ideas and beliefs. The Varden can help you.' Desparately, he reached out again, trying to show her the good of the Varden.
The young elf nodded in agreement. His eyes fell across the room before he made eye contact with Elaine. "Have you taken a complete rest since the battle?" His eyes shown with worry for her wellbeing. As he asked the question, he opened his mind out, and gently touched Vana's consiousness. 'V-vana?' He thought her name hesitantly, not sure if she wanted to talk to him or not. Thud.

Viel shook her head, trying to ignore the images Goured was showing her. A growl rippled up her throat. Stop! she demanded, her tail thrashing. The king wants nothing but peace, and the varden are trying to destroy it. Now, leave me be! Let my rot here in these chains, but pester me no more. ***
Elaine shook her head. "Nay, I've gotten no rest. I'm just now beginning to feel the weight of it. Come, let us leave her for the night. It will give her time to think over her situation." Elaine glanced hardly at Vana, then swept from the dungeon cell. She stood outside, waiting for Equinox to follow. *** Vana, drugged as she was not to use magic, had a hard time keeping Equinox from her mind. She wanted to scream in rage. How did he have such an affect on her? Why did she care so deeply for him? Love was madness, she decided. I hear you. she told him, her reply sluggish. Your friend waits for you outside. she told him, a hint of anger in her voice. Why do you linger?

OOC: wow...i forgot about this thread....time to revive it! Since Einar has his scar now...he's kinda insane since Gianna left...hehehe...I love playing a tormented Einar...once he's all happy and giddy it lacks a diabolical incentive. lol
Einar was about to fall asleep when he felt the steady gaze of Kalri on him. He was slightly annoyed with her, but didn't do anything about it. He was tired and angry at someone else. Sighing, he rolled to his side, away from the gazes of Kalri and the rest of the group. He needed to rescue Vana as soon as possible...it would redeem him for his incompetence and for allowing Gianna to become a Rider. His thoughts grumbled and moaned as he thought about her. Damn her! Damn her and her dragon! Einar lashed out. Stigandr whined. Why do you continue to let your anger dictate you? I know your mad that that elf rider burned you...and I know your mad that Gianna left....but they were all not of your control. Gianna and Gladia were never meant to live the life we do. She had the opportunity to choose something better and she took it. Now you have come to a crossroad. Open your eyes and your heart... Shut up. I'm going to bed. Einar lashed out his anger on Stigandr and pulled the blanket over his head. For once in your life, leave me alone! He moaned out at his dragon and prayed to some unknown God to end his misery. Stigandr sighed, but said nothing as he turned his head to face the cave entrance.
*** At dawn, Einar was silent and tense as he placed Stigandr's saddle on and kicked out the fire. "Let's go. We've lingered long enough here. Its time to get Vana." He gruffed out at the group and went aside with Stigandr, who was moving rather slowly.

OOC: junk it! Evil time paradoxes...hmm, should I just continue to have Rauthr be a little baby dragon, or should I stuff him and Rola into a time capsule and set them to the proper time? Decisions, decisions...I think I'll do time capsule thing. The time paradox would bug me too much. OKAY, EVERYBODY! Ignore 99% of my earlier posts on this thread. Rauthr's now old enough to talk and ride, etc. Just to clear up any confusion.
Marola stared at Einar for some time, not moving. She shook her head in disapproval. The man had allowed himself to fall in love with that woman Rider he brought back, Gianna. She had been a runaway slave! Why should he have ever expected her to stay? A person like that would never stop running. When Einar mentioned it was time to get moving again, Marola walked over and patted Rauthr's side. Will he ever stop pining after that traitor? He's hopeless! she told her dragon. Rauthr snorted a puff of smoke. You're one to talk, Rola, he replied. Marola stared into his large forest green eye for a moment, understanding exactly what he meant and hating it.
