Rom just nodded; but was very pleased to have some company for once. It was a good change. "I am really interested to meet this new friend." He said with a sincere voice. After traveling with Khaos for some few hours, he was finally able to meet his "friend."
Staring up at the dragon, Rom, slowly walked up to him. His eyes were wide, but beyond that, you couldn't really tell if Rom was amazed.
"I am honored to meet you." Rom said, and inclined his head. "I have heard of these creatures, but never seen them."

Lyo waved them off and slipped his mask off when they where out of sight.Gural you can come down now they have left.Gural shot down and was quickly on the ground.Lyo walked up to a giggling Mia who was yelling,"Do it again, do it again!" Lyo jumped up on Gural's back and gave her a kiss on her forehead.Lets go friend.
Gural flew over the Spine heading towards an old camp so Lyo could attack some more cities when he felt an ancient presence.Lyo we have powerful company.Lyo looked around and nearly fell out of the saddle upon seeing a dragon the size of a palace.

"This is my dragon and my best friend. His name is Argentum. If you wish I give you permission to address him, just make sure you ask him first out loud before attempting to talk with his mind. Otherwise you may end up very bad off indeed."
Argentum lowered his head and sniffed at Romulus. He then turned his head to Khaos and nodded sharply.
"It would seem that as long as you are not an agent of the empire and will swear in the ancient language that you are not, Argentum will let you speak directly with him."

Romulus listened intently and carefully to Khaos' words. "I understand." He told Khaos and allowed Argentum; though he really had no choice, to sniff him. Romulus thought of this very severely; he had no idea which side he wished to join yet, but he knew that the truth would serve him best always. Turning his body towards the dragon, Romulus addressed him out loud.
"Greetings, Brightscales." Romulus began in the Ancient Language, "I can not say whether or not I serve the Empire or that of the Varden; these matters are still very sensitive for me to understand, however, I swear to you and to your Rider, that I am friend and servant to the creatures and people of the land of Alagaesia. I only speak the truth of my belief, and hope that it will suffice." He finished and inclined his head at the dragon.

Argentum reached out for Romulus' mind.
For that I am glad. I do hope you do not side with that traitor Galbatorix, for then I will become your enemy and I do not wish for violence in as many situations as possible.
Argentum then raised his head to view the new arrivals and spoke to both Khaos and Romulus.
It would seem that we have guests.

Run AWAY!Lyo quickly regained his senses and his instincts told him to run away as far as possible.
Come on Gural move," Lyo noticed Gural was still mesmerized by the great dragon in front of them.They noticed us already we must meet them as friends and not enemies.
Mia squealed upon seeing the large dragon and her pudgy little hands clapped furiously."Big dwagon, bid dwagon!"Lyo tussled her hair still nervous but becoming more calm as they descended.

Romulus allowed Argentum to enter his mind, although he placed very strong and secure barriers around his memories and hidden thoughts; he did not want it to be known that he was Lord or that he was a slave; these were too personal and dangerous to share with one he did not know very well. He listened with intent to what the dragon had to say.
I must be honest again, great dragon, for I do not look forward to the day I must decide. Like you, I desire peaceful interactions and will detest myself otherwise.
Upon hearing that there were others around, Romulus glanced to were Argentum was looking....

Gural reared his head and landed gracefully in the clearing."Show off," Lyo whispered chuckling at the attempts by Gural to seem more regal than he was.I only wish to make them see us as friends.
Lyo picked up the still giggling and excited Mia and fluidly hopped off Gural. As he placed her down he pretended to stretch his neck but he was checking who the people their and was surprised to see the same two from earlier.It seems we where in the presence of a great rider before.
Lyo bowed low to everyone and Gural followed suit and he added,We are honored to be in your presence,ancient ones.

Khaos stepped forward and gave the traditional greeting of the elves.
"You already know my name and I yours, but this is Argentum. He is my best friend. What is the name of your dragon might I ask?"

Romulus just stared. He never saw a dragon before; not counting the copper one he saw in the sky a few months ago, so now he was just overwhelmed at seeing two in one day.
"Incredible..." He mumbled as he just stared.

Lyo put on a perplexed expression when the ancient elf came up to him with some sort of elven greeting, but he shook it off a moment later when he told him Argentum's name. Lyo started to speak...
My name is Gural,ancient one.Gural mentally said to everyone in the clearing.Gural bowed his head even lower towards the rider and dragon.
Mia squealed when Lyo absentmindedly let go of her and ran straight for Argentum.Lyo cringed hopping he wouldn't hurt her by accident.

As the girl ran toward Argentum he slowly lowered his gigantic head and contacted her mind.
And what might your name be your lady? said Argentum to the girl only.
Khaos walked over to her and placed his hand on her shoulder, lowering himself to his knees and began to talk to her.
"You don't seem to be afraid even though Argentum is most likely the oldest living dragon and I the oldest living Elf in all the land. Your innocence is astounding that even Argentum sees it in you without a second thought. You are a remarkable little girl. Hold on to that innocence for as long as you can. This world can tear it away from you in a moments notice, so guard yourself against the cruelties you may someday face and stay the same, if not a bit bigger and wiser, as you are now. Can you do that for me?"

Mia grew surprised when the giant dragon contacted her mentally but answered,Mia.Mia turned her head slightly to the elf when he bent down to talk to her with her still smiling face.She lost a little of that smile when she started to get the meaning of his words.When he asked her to stay innocent and to get bigger she nodded her head vigorously,"I will mister."
Lyo smiled at Mia's enthusiasm and nodded his head in agreement to the elves words.Lyo had made a promise to protect her from any harm and injustice in this world, so he would keep it.
Gural turned to the young half elf so much like Lyo and contacted him mentally.Hello small-one.

Khaos stood and walked over to Argentum. He then climbed the massive dragon and got on his back.
"Well Romulus, we have a long journey ahead of us and it would be much faster if you rode with me and Argentum. If you want to, then ask Argentums' permission and climb on up. If you prefer to walk then I guess we will meet you there."

OOC: did Gural contact Rom? if he did, Rom doesnt show any elf like features, and he doesn't know he's part elf either. lol. he was seemingly abandoned for some unknown reason in which i must figure out a plot for later. lol.
IC: Getting over his awe, Rom looked up at Khaos. "I would have to agree with you on that one. It would be much faster." He then turned to look at Argentum. "Would you honor me by allowing me to fly upon your back, Argentum?" Romulus asked.
