Romulus was tracking some bears in the midst of the Spine when he heard loud noises not far off from where he was. Curious, he nimbly climbed some trees and headed towards the sounds.
After 5 minutes or so, he spotted a small campsite. There were some armed men pushing some people around and even chaining some up. Slavers! Romulus' mind recalled the time when he was captured and enslaved. Anger flooded through him as he spotted one of the slavers spit on a mother and pried her son away from her!
Carefully reaching behind him for his bow and quiver, Rom eyed the slavers, counting them to be about 7 total. With his bow out, he aimed carefully at the feet of the slaver who was prying the boy away. Without hesitation, Romulus fired the bow, sending it deep into the ground beneath the slaver's foot.
Crying out with surprise, the slaver glanced around and the others immeditaly followed.
"Leave them alone and get lost, or you'll each pay with your life." Romulus called out from above, emerging with his bow at the ready. "I will not ask again."
The slavers huffed, "who dares to intrude on OUR business! It will be your life that we will have!" The slavers cried out some other profane words.
Romulus sneered, watching the 7 men. I warned you... He thought to himself as he aimed the arrow at the head of one of the slavers.....

Telrun looked up at the man and held in a smile. She had seen him before, but had never met him. She looked around the camp. She was undercover as a slave, her job to kill all the slavers and return the slaves back to Galbatorix. She didn't know what the king planned to do with them and didn't want to. Gripping her hidden dagger, she scooted towards one of the slavers.

Romulus didn't flinch has his arrow was released from his fingers. Flying with speed and accuracy, the arrow landed between the eyes of the slaver who was holding the young boy. Within the blink of an eye, Rom not only had one arrow slung, but three. His face remained emotionless as he addressed the slavers once again. The young boy screamed when his captor fell, but quickly ran behind Romulus, since his mother was still being held like a shield.
"Are you all right." Rom asked the boy, without glancing down.
"I...I think so...."
"Good. Stay behind me and don't move."
The boy was more than happy to comply.
"I say again. Release your captives, or I will pick you off one by one." His arrows glistened against the light that shone through the forest trees.
"Not on your life, vermin! The King will have your head!" One of the slavers called out, and they started to circle Rom.
"Boy. don't move." Rom whispered to the boy as he reminded him.
The boy nodded and closed his eyes, wishing it was over.
"GET HIM!" The slavers cried out.

Telrun jumped forward and silently stabbed one of the men in the back, moving to the next, and then she was at the one who held the child's mother as a shield. Telrun hit the man in the back of the head with the hilt of her dagger, then kicked him away from the woman, leaving her standing there, helpless. Telrun quickly took her hand and pulled her away from the site.

Lyo couldn't watch any more he slid on his magic blue silk mask and burst out from the forest.He hated slavers since birth mostly because he had been a slave.He tore out his silver whip and his longsword and attacked the nearest slaver.After that one fell he charged another taking their attention from the archer and the hidden assassin.

Rom unleashed his three arrows, having ripped the quivers at a certain place so they would zip to where he wanted it to go. Having spotted one of the captives attack the slavers, he went to attack the remaining ones. His arrows hit his target, taking down 3 slavers, while he also spotted a whip coming out from the forest and attacking the remaining two, from his sides.
After the blood and gore was done, Rom looked around, his bow now slung on his back, while his hand rested on the hilt of his sheathed sword. He glanced at the boy behind him. "Go to your mother, it's all right." He nodded and watched as the boy ran off to be reunited with his mother.
After watching that scene for a moment; he wondered what a mother's hug felt like, he turned his attention to his two helpers.
"I thank you both." He inclined his head. "May I ask for the names of my allies?" He asked carefully, really unsure if they were allies.

Khaos watched as the three people took down the slavers. He had been about to come out of hiding when they had attacked and he had decided to let them take care of it...he really hated fighting. He then stepped out from behind the tree he had been hiding behind.
"You all fight well. I would have helped but it seemed that you could handle it and I don't like violence much and try to avoid it whenever possible. My name is Khaos."

After sheathing his blade and whip Lyo nodded his head at both and responded,"As you should be able to tell by the mask I am the Blue Assassin and you have no need to thank me I love getting back at the slavers. May I ask in return who you people are?"Lyo was uncertain if he should Call Gural down still unsure if these people where trust worthy.Gural hover high above so it looks like your a bird and keep Mia busy.OK but as soon as it gets dangerous I'm coming down.

Telrun gave the man a small smile. "I am Telrun and there is no need to thank me. I was just doing what I was hired to do." She wiped her dagger and sheathed it, leaving a large blood stain on her shirt. She walked over to the slaves, catching their attention. "I am going to back to Uru'baen. If any of you wish to come, I will make sure you will have a safe trip. Once you step back on Empire grounds, you are freed." Most of the slaves raised their hands and followed Telrun to the horses. She looked over at the men who she'd just met. "Anyone?"

Telrun nodded slowly, jumping upon a horse. To the slaves she said, "Well, we'd better get going before dark...who know what comes out." The slaves gave each other worried looks and slowly got up on the horses. She looked back at the men again before charging off into the forest, the slaves not far behind.

"I am Romulus." He made no mention of his last name. "As for these people, I believe they are free to go as they please at this point." Rom made sure his point was heard, but apparently the slaves didn't seem to agree. He watched with some sorrow and detest as they choose to return to their former lives. "You don't understand what you're doing...these slavers are nothing compared to servitude..." He mumbled as he watched Telrun run off. He made a mental note of the woman...deceitful...and of the Empire. Another reason why he should just join up with the Varden. "Agh." He shrugged off his thoughts. "Do as you wish." He waved at the dust that was lifted from the horses as they has left.
Hiking up his bow, he looked at the other men. "I thank you for your help. I wish you luck on whatever journey you plan to undertake." He gave them a short nod, and headed towards the direction of Surda...perhaps he would anyalze how things were done there.

Khaos ran forward to walk next to Romulus.
"It would seem that we are traveling in the same direction. Where are you heading. Are you going to Teirm...or do you plan to go even further then that...maybe all the way to Surda.
Argentum. Fly ahead and keep in contact with me. I may need your assistance if he decides to attack me for any reason, though I doubt it.

Rom was slightly surprised to have someone run up beside him; it had been awhile since he had a companion. "It would seem so. I plan to go to Surda, but will stop in Teirm to pick up some supplies. I suppose I wouldn't mind the company." Rom said, as he continued to walk.

"That's great. I have always believed in company. In fact. Just a few miles away is a good friend of mine. He is waiting for me in a clearing. I think you will like him."
A few hours later Khaos walked into the clearing where Argentum was waiting.
