Marcus entered a rowdy bar and sat down at a table full of rough men, stopping the deck of cards one held in mid-shuffle.
"Hello, there," he said with an amiable grin, "I just thought I'd deal myself in." He took the cards from the man, who sat back and gave him an annoyed look.
"I thought we had an understanding: you don't bother us, and we don't bother you."
Marcus shuffled the cards. "That was before I recieved some information that a dear friend of mine who I believed deceased turns out to be alive. I figured you would be just to sort to ask about where to find her." The men chuckled a little.
"And what makes you think we would tell you anything?" one asked.
"Because if you don't," Marcus replied coolly, "In five minutes, I'll be the only one at this table still standing." The men all laughed out loud at that. "And in ten minutes," Marcus continued, "I'll be the only one in this room still standing." He dealt the cards. "So...who's in?" All the men stood up, glowering threateningly over him.

9.2 MINUTES LATER
"WHERE IS SHE??!!!" Marcus yelled. There were still three men in the room conscious.
"I--I don't know," one of them replied meekly.
"Then you know somebody who knows somebody who knows something! WHO? WHAT?! ANSWER ME!!!" One of the men tried to throw a glass bottle at his head. Marcus ducked and the bottle hit another man, who then fell unconscious. Marcus threw punches at the remaining two, who were then knocked out.
"Oh, bugger," Marcus said to himself, "Now I'm going to have to wait for someone to wake up."
