Altrasky watched with some interest as two riders openly opposed each other. Waiting quietly in the small crowd that had gathered around the pair of brawlers. Altrasky turned, seeing a small figure attacking a guard, he ran towards them "Halt!" he shouted to the smaller man.

Therin blocked the opposing riders blade with Hefnd in a single half hearted block. "You are young and obviously don't know who you stand against. Let me introduce myself Slayer, I am Therin student of Jaygon, wielder Dark Magic, warchief of Woodcrest, and quarry of Mammon. You should learn who you draw against before you do it." Therin said calmly as he twisted Hefnd free of the riders blade and then let a fluid of attacks from his dual blades, he enhanced his spped with his dark magic, and took ground inch by inch.

Knurl ingored the person who shouted at him and continued to run. He founded more crates by a alley and hid there. The guards ran by him but did not see him. Knurl could see the hole which is now guarded by six guards. "Might as well turn myself in." Knurl said amost giving up hope till he saw something that could help him escape. The buildings were more taller then the walls and there was a ladder right next to him. He quickly climbed the ladder and started jumping from rooftop to rooftop. Then one of the guards noticed Knurl and shouted "The spy is escaping get him!" Wooden Arrows start to fly near Knurl and he knew they were deadly so he took cover behind a chimney.

Altrasky ran after the small manish figure. He saw a ladder, noticing it was knocked over. Then he ran gripping ledge to ledge, jumping to the roof then running from roof to roof, seeing the man behind cover, he leapt at him, in an attempt to tackle him.

Ren gave some ground, blocking the duel wielding rider. Noting that the blades seemed to come down with more force than any normal man could Ren decided it must have something to to with the rider's magic. grinning Ren jumped clearly over the rider, and began slashing at his flank! Belgabad readies his claws preparing to crush this bug under his paw.

Knurl was about to run when someone came out of nowhere and tackled him. This took him by and he was tackled down onto a lower rooftop. "I am leaving ok just leave me alone so I can get over the wall." Knurl said to the person who just tackled him, then he noticed that he had weapons. Knurl was about to get Narag and Shrgg when more arrows start to fly by them.

"Tsk tsk" Therin taunted as he began using the energy a small fire produced as well as the dark energy stored in his swirling ring to wordlessly produce a shield of the purest darkness around him to protect himself from the dragons claw. "Come now do you honestly think you could defeat me with such an underhanded move?" Therin asked his opponent calmly. "I have years of experience on you, in between my training in magic from the ancient Jaygon the Wise and my village's training with a blade since I could stand...this battle was decided as soon as I stepped on the ground. I didn't come for your head, but to find my hunter. Perhaps you know the scum? His name is Mammon the Undying an ancient that rides for Galbatorix he hunts down riders of my skill and greater. If you have tell me and I will not kill you here and now." Therin said calmly as his shield protected him from outside inference.

Ren stood then staring at the rider with renewed caution, "I have heard tale of this Mammon, he does fight alongside the Empire but at a different level. Why do you wish to fight an ancient so?" Ren asks from behind his hood intrigued by this well armed rider.

Mammon was once a student of Jaygon on the same track as me before he lost his sanity, murdered his sister and whole village. He is a monster who uses the status of Imperial hunter to justify his murder of innocents and his status to achieve his own dark goals...for this he must be stopped. I am not a Varden rider nor am I an Empire rider, I serve the old order and what they upheld, you must see what I stand for then hunter." Therin explained to his opponent as he saw a familiar rust speck in the sky. "You must either assist me or leave...he is here." Therin said as a tinge of fear crept into his voice.

"What you speak of interests me rider, the information will prove valuable to the empire. Now the rider you so fear is coming, my work here is done good bye rider may we cross paths again." Ren says mounting Belgabad. Belgabad looks into the riders eye's before him with malice, When next we meet you won't be as lucky, maybe I'll be able to meet your dragon in battle then. Belgabad says raising his massive wings, billowing up a cloud of dust as he propels into the air returning to Galbatorix.

Mammon sensed trouble brewing and he knew of Ren's exploits he flew down on Baal, his massive bond who's size rivals even the mountains. "Woah youngling, slow down did you encounter a rider using dark magic down there? If so tell me so I may bring him to justice! He is a traitor to our glorious Empire and seeking to spread the seeds of disillusionment between brothers in arms." Mammon explained. "As a fellow hunter you must know of me and the type of quarry I am sent to hunt down, he is considered highly dangerous, you must aid me in his capture or destruction I order this of you by the Imperial decree and my status as an Ancient." He barked knowing his own military command would outrank Ren's own. "You will draw blades with me or be labeled a traitor to the crown." He told him with a sickeningly cruel smile

Ren looked at the ancient before him, hatred and a sense of acceptance crossing his hidden face. "As you wish." Ren says calmly, Belgabad turning to face the rider they had in countered. Drawing his black blade, Ren begins reciting in the ancient language applying wards to himself and Belgabad, readying for the coming battle.

"Altrasky grab the dwarf and let's leave, Mammon is here and he won't waste any time." Therin shouted as he dropped his defenses and the energy drain touch him lightly it was a costly trick he had pulled but the only ward he knew that could withstand a dragon. "Aldmirr get ready we are going to be the distraction to make sure Altrasky and the dwarf get out of this alive." Therin told his bond, he received in reply a feeling of dread. "Master I will need your help now...I can't fight him alone in this state." Therin told Jaygon through their mental link.

Belgabad's roar shatters the silence as he descends once more the Ancient's mount close to him. Tilting his head, Belgabad looks at Ren with one massive eye. They stared at each other for along while unblinking, preparing themselves to face this rider once more. "We shall proceed with caution as we always do." Ren whispers to Belgabad, the black dragon humming an affirmation to his bond. Looking over at Mammon Ren hardens, "What would you have us do Old one?" Ren asks with as much dignity as he can muster. Belgabad's gaze drifts back to the rider below wondering where the rider's dragon may be.
