CHAPTER 1- Somewhere in a dungeon under the great lake of Dras Leona.
Droplets of water slowly dripped from the dungeon ceiling onto the straw bedding upon which Fae rested her head. The steady thud, thud, thud had sent her into a restless sleep. In her dreams, Fae had finally escaped the thrice cursed prison, she was back with the Varden, the rebel army, fighting for the freedom of her people. So far she had managed to keep quiet and not tell her captors anything. But it was only a matter of time before they brought in a mage or worse- a wizard.
A banging echoed throughout the cell as the barred door was unlocked.
Fae jumped awake, ready for anything. Or so she thought.
A man in the black robes of a druid entered her cell, Fae's restoration robes and cowl over his arm. "Come quickly freind, you must disguise yourself. And you may need the extra warmth, it's cold outside, and those rags won't do you any good."
Fae stared at him suspisciously. The druids may have been on the rebel's side, but it could be a disguise.
"Come quickly!" He repeated.
Fae battled with herself. "Fine, turn around."
He passed her the robes and turned his back. While she was dressing, he said:"Ï drugged the guards, it'll were off soon though, so we have to hurry"
Fae fininished pulling on her deep purple robes. She moved the twine that kept them on so that the emblem of a green, glowing, undead skull was visible. "Right, I'm ready, lets get moving."
The druid led Fae up and out of the dungeon...
