Tristan mounted with Tenel Ka, having her behind him as a sudden change in the air gathered around them. His horse neighed and he felt Trinity's smooth voice in his mind. A rider and dragon have appeared! I recognize them as Varden. Trinity communicated quickly as she glided above them all.
This couldn't be good, Tristan had thought briefly as Basil and Gidion appeared. "All is all right. We are fine, Rider Gidion." Was all Tristan said, as he contained the knowledge of Tenel Ka's circumstance among the Queen's closest friends. There was no time to be wasted as Tristan was earnest to find Angela the Herbalist and Lady Nasuada to inform them of their predicament. He glanced over at Teodora. "Let's go, Teodora." He gave his lover a reassuring smile as he felt Tenel Ka's grip tighten around his waist. He nearly forgot that a dragon just appeared before them. Not wanting her to bolt, Tristan hurried his horse back to the Varden. "Don'e worry, cousin. The dragons here won't harm you...especially Caedus. He will be anxious to see you. Caedus is your dragon." Tristan explained to her quickly as they rushed back to camp.

Romulus scanned the perimeter centered around where he had found Tenel Ka. At first he found nothing that made it look like Tenel Ka wasn't alone, until he found some footprints near Tenel Ka's. He didn't recognize them and it looked like Tenel Ka knew the person, as her footsteps indicated closeness and willingness; the prints weren't smudged, which disregarded her being dragged. BUt then again, the person could have coerced her with words. He could not assume anything yet, but one thing was for sure. Tenel Ka was not alone this morning. He gingerly touched the foreign footsteps. They were small. A woman's perhaps? He studied Tenel Ka's footsteps some more as another pang in his heart rippled across his chest. He would do all he could to help her remember herself. He glanced up into the skies, worried about Caedus as well. Romulus continued to linger for a bit until he deemed that there was nothing else. He rushed back to camp, ready to inform the Ismalians his findings.
