Lokeirm nodded his head carelessly his white hair bobbing with his head. As she asked her last question he didn't slow in the slightest with giving her a quizzical look with his slender eyebrows thingyed. Of course on the inside he was now on his guard. He didn't need to warn Jorm who had turned his head away from the intruders to look back at the two they just met. "Can't say I have.....any reason why?" Lokeirm gave her a friendly look as he moved his dragon scale cloak a little to get more comfortable. Hello Ismorlde. Jormungand nodded his large red scaled head in a show of greeting to the large yet smaller female dragon. Jorm hadn't seen a creature as large as him since he had cleared his first century and he was interested to talk to another ancient dragon.

Tismri raised her eyebrows ever so slightly at his answer. She believed he was lying, but why would he? She didn't know, but decided not to dwell on it. "Only because you remind me very much of someone I met once. But he is younger than I am, and nowhere near as..." She floundered for a word, "calm as you are." Well there's the understatement of the millenium, Ismrolde commented to her before turning her attention to the red dragon who was nearly twice the size of her, and that was saying a lot. Jormungand, she replied to him politely, I must say seeing you is a surprise. I never expected to meet another dragon who made me feel like a hatchling again.

Lokeirm listened and he couldn't help but let out what was to come. A mad cackle left his lips as he raised his head to the sky his white hair falling back smoothly. After he was done he looked back done wiping a small tear from his eye. " Calm is not a word most use to describe me but, it might fit.....sometimes." Lokeirm had to admit his interest was piqued when she said someone was like him in these lands and it made Jorm choke on laughter above them small puffs of smoke coming out as he chortled. "Like my friend Jorm is showing not many people are like me. You mind telling me about this person?" After his laughing Jorm replied to Ismorlde. I must say it is also a surprise to see you. I haven't seen a dragon close to my size since I was small and we only stayed on that land for a few decades.

Senor imedeietly climbed onto Shanith and the red dragon took off. She blotted out the sun for a moment as she flew overhead. Nextith turned to look for his boat and saw the monks throwing rocks in it! It sunk within minutes. Sorry but I can't leave the island. I don't have a mighty dragon like yourself. he said politely.

Tismri couldn't keep the shocked look off her face at Lokierm's mad cackle he let out. It reminded her of Kaylayn when he was planning to do something she felt would better be stopped. In fact, that was exactly what it sounded like! But she soon couldn't hear it over the thunder-like laughter of his dragon. As the noise died down, she recovered herself. "Well, compared to him, you're as calm as a placid lake," she told him, "I swear Kaylayn can't sit still and just talk for thirty seconds. Let's just say everything that is orderly and seemingly right in the world is the exact opposite of him." She gave a small laugh. "Now, don't get me wrong, he is very sweet and kind, and tries his best to do good. It is just that in his opinion, good means chaotic." Ismrolde agreed, I know. A great many of our kind were destroyed over a hundred years ago, and our newest generation has just begun to hatch. I know of only two others who have survived since then, and that was for the same reason we have: they were away.

Lokeirm listened with earnest about this new person named Kaylayn. He had to admit the name had a certain ring to it that he liked. It sounded unpredictable something he would name his child if he ever met anyone of the little devils or if he had any. "I like that name, Kaylayn." He rolled it out as if tasting it. "Yes is this person elf or human?Lokeirm had a number of questions he wanted to ask but he knew he would have to be careful or Tismri might get suspicious and she had a right to be. If she answered them the way he wanted he would have plans for this Kaylayn. Jormungand chuckled and it coming out sounding like a landslide. Lokeirm had always said dragons were more at one with the land than most people thought. I have a feeling if the upstart Galbatorix tried anything while anyone of us was here....lets just say he wouldn't have gotten far. Jorm turned to let her see marks across his face and great neck and some even trailed to his back and other parts. They were his battle scars and he wore each proudly. He loved to fight. Turning from Ismorlde he looked won at the puny elf. I would try swimming or find out how quickly your bones can be crushed.

Nextith looked at the dragon impassivly. I can't possibly swim and I don't see what right you have to make me get off the island. I have to see the monks or else Andril will die at my hand. Even though I shouldn't trouble you with my concerns mighty dragon. Even as he spoke, a shadow passed over the sun. He looked up and saw a coal black dragon. Vanador. The mighty beast circled down and landed next to Ismorlde. Nextith could see Andril climb down. Andril! NO! he mentally screamed.

Tismri wondered about Lokierm's interest in Kaylayn. Her suspicions were on the rise, higher than they had ever been about any person. "He is an elf," she answered carefully, for some reason strangely protective of Kaylayn from Lokierm. Despite his chaotic, confidant ways, Tismri knew Kaylayn was susceptible to manipulation. She didn't want to see him used. She loved him too much for that. "Why are you so curious about him?"

Andril hear the elf and Tismri talking about Kaylayan. She decided to use caution. She turned to face Ismorlde. Well met mighty dragon.

Lokeirm laughed though this time he turned his mad cackle down a notch so it was only a mad chuckle. The girl was as quick as a whip and good looking. The whole package! he smiled innocently though totally ignoring the things happening around them knowing Jorm would handle everything else. "You have mentioned things about him so I got interested. Like I said before no one has ever been said to be anything like me so i was curious." He gave her a charming smile though on the inside he was giving her a deadly glare since he knew he would draw to much suspicion for anymore questions. Jorm eyed the elf angrily his red eye widening in disbelief a being told no. Foolish elf when I say leave I mean leave! You better be on the other side of this island by the time it takes a normal elf or I'll eat half of you today and the other tomorrow and Lokierm will keep you alive during that most painful period. After turning away from the elf he viewed the small dragon who paled to Ismorlde and even more so to him. Why must the young ones bother us so?

Nextith glance fearfully from Jorm to Andril. He prayed to whoever was listening. Please, let her be safe. I can't live without her. He ran to the monestary.
**************************
Vanador's eyes widened. He arched his neck in a sort of bow. Great dragon. You must be ancient and wise indeed. I am not here to bother you. My rider wishes to escape the empire is here to ask Tismri a question. We will wait untill this conversation is over.

Tismri met Lokierm's eyes and was not swayed by his smile. Excuses. Why did people always give excuses for their actions and interests? They annoyed her to no end. "You only reminded me of his because you have the same look," she told him. "Tall, white-haired, well muscled. That is all." She didn't mention the fact that Kaylayn also had blue birth marks similar to Lokierm's. Somethings were better left unsaid.
Ismrolde smiled at Jorm's annoyance, not minding the younger dragon. Because they are curious about us and seek our counsel, of course, she replied to his complaint. She looked back at the smaller dragon. My Rider will speak with yours when she is finished, though I cannot promise she will be in the highest of spirits when you see her.

Of course. This man seems to be testing her nerves. It is a good test for some. said Andril solomly. She sat down on Vanador's front paw and watched the exchange. She was amazed by how much the elf resembled the one who had helped Senor attack her.

Lokeirm listened to the description of the Kaylayn and gave a small smile. Almost exactly like him except for his extensive marks. It could be a coincidence and not what he thought but just maybe he had a family member and he knew it was possible with what he did those centuries ago. " Ah he sounds like a dashing young man! So how do you know this chaotic being with you being so orderly?"
Jorm gave a sheepish smile back at Ismorlde and nodded consent at her words. You are right Ismrolde. Let are rider's give counsel after their talk.

Andril heard Jorm's words through Vanador. She gasped. she feared this man. Even more that she feared Kaylayan. He had a sense of power about him. Destuctive power. She went back to comparing mental images of Kaylayan and the strange elf.
