Tismri listened, guard up, to Lokierm's question. "I knew him as a child, before he ended up turning quite so wild. I was but a child myself in those days, hardly even a century old yet. As my training as a Rider grew more strenuous, I lost some contact with him. The next I heard of him, the Riders were fearful. He had grown too dangerous, they felt, and they wanted to keep him in a safe place. Since I had known him, they asked me to help in his capture. I did this, though it saddened me, for I still remembered the friend I had had all those years ago. The day after he was caught, I was given orders to travel north, and I remained there for as long as needed, nearly two centuries." She grew silent for a long time, arms crossed, emerald eyes boring into Lokierm. He was older than she, but she could still hold herself up against him steadily. She wanted to know what this elf wanted with Kaylayn. She had had suspicions before, and they seemed nearly confirmed now with his acute interest in Kaylayn.

Lokeirm listened to the story and nodded at different points. His plan was slowly forming but he would need to know more of this person. How to get this information..........Ah! He nodded at her words then drifted off into a thought process. If this elf is as crazy as she says and caused trouble then than the cities would know about him and could tell him more without him becoming an object of suspicion. Lokeirm smiled on the inside but he gave Tismri a questioning look. "Why were you gone so long from your homeland?" He smiled curiously knowing he needed to change topics before she started wondering a little to much at his plans.

Tismri was relieved when he changed the subject from Kaylayn, but she was still on her guard. Lokierm's interest in him, added with the startling likeness in appearance and a small mirror of character all gave her a sick feeling in her stomach. Something was happening, and she wasn't sure if she liked where is was headed. "I was following instructions given to me by Vrael, who was then the leader of the Riders. He had wanted to choose another, Oromis, for the task, but felt it would be unwise. The inhabitants of the northern regions are human and might not take kindly to elves. So he sent me instead."

Lokeirm nodded at the story but it still didn't explain why she didn't come back after a couple years. Maybe she could stay a couple decades but to whole centuries. That is a pretty long time for some. She might have been training another rider which would make since but she might have come back with one and would have mentioned it. Maybe. "So I know why you left but why did you stay so long?" He eyed her curiously forgetting only for a moment that he wanted to guide the conversation to that Kaylayn guy but he could work it out.

Tismri smiled faintly at his hounding. Some people could be really curious. She only hoped that any conversation could distract him from their previous topic. "I stayed until my work was done," she said cryptically. She had gone to attempt to start a generation of Riders in their country. In truth, she had intended to return a few years after coming home to see if the princess had had any more success than she had. But returning had given her other work to focus on besides starting a generation of Riders there. She had work to do at home. She had been shocked to find that the dragon egg she had left of Tenel Ka had hatched for the young princess and that the girl had traveled all the way to Alagaesia to be trained.

Lokeirm nodded knowing a half lie when he heard one. A rider would only be told to leave to some other nation for a few reasons and those reasons were: to ensure peace and maybe an alliance, to make more Riders, and anything else that pathetic do good group wanted. He could only guess but his money would stay on the eggs since that would excuse such a long absence. " Interesting. I believe I have run out of things to talk about so do you have things to say?" He held his arms open showing her he was ready for any question.

"Why don't tell me something about yourself?" she asked him, "such as why you were both gone for so long?"

Andril half listened to the conversation. Part of the reason ahe was here was because she was looking for Tismri. The other part was that she was on the run. She needed to get away from the empire. She would have run to the Beors but Kayalayan made that option a no go. Everyone in Ellesmera was fighting. The Varden were too easily attacked. She couldn't hide inside the empire. She wasn't that good at disguise. An assassin relied on stealth but she couldn't be stealthy and live in the empire. When Tismri asked about the strange elf, Andril's attention perked. she was interested i why this man was so similar to Kaylayan.

Lokeirm sighed as she asked him to explain himself. "Well I think I should start at the beginning. A thousand or so years ago I wanted a dragon egg so I decided to take one. I was already about one thousand to two thousand years old and an ancient among my kind. I had power people envied and feared and wit that surpassed any even when i was younger. Of course when I was that young I was still quite chaotic as this Kaylayn fellow but if he is like me he'll become like me." He smiled giving her a knowing look then looked to Jorm how just sighed as only a dragon can.

Tismri listened to what he said. He still hadn't explained where he had been or why he had been gone for so long. "If Kaylayn becomes like you, I think such an event would sadden me," she said, "He is perfectly fine the way he is. Now, I believe you were explaining where you went after you took Jorm's egg?"

Lokeirm laughed. "Yes its called a pause in the story to let you digest the story I just told. Okay so now I stole Jorm's egg and went to Teirm for a ship and I took one of those too. While i was etting off with catapults firing at me a Rider came after me and attacked. I slayed him and his beast easily and now I have this cloak and other supplies thanks to them." He smiled as he twirled around showing his black dragon scale cloak. "Nice huh?"

Andril was absolutly horrifies by his tale. Slaying a man and taking his supplies! We do it too. mused Vanador. Yes but we are assassins. Its our job. And we usually don't do it unless they are carrying something valuble to the Varden. Like your ring? he asked pointedly. Andril felt heat rising to her face. It was true that Ariel was taken from a Rider she killed. The more energy I have the better I can fight. Vanador chuckled.

(ooc: I am joining this thread under the assumption that you are outside. If this is wrong then tell me and I will edit.)
Khaos had heard of some other surviving members of the old order. They were calling themselves ancients now, and that name did not seem unfitting. He had decided to seek them out. After a while he had heard rumors that at least two giant dragons had been spotted on an island not far from where he was. He and Argentum made their way to that island, covering inconceivable distances with each stroke of the mighty dragons wings.
After about an hour of flying Khaos could see his targets. He wanted to find out just what these ancients knew about the state of his homeland and how they had survived the attacks of Galbatorix. Argentum's wings hit the air with such force that the sound could be heard from mile around as this massive dragon made his way in a direct path to where Tismri and Lokierm now were.
(ooc2: I did check and I really am the oldest living character on the site...lol)
