Jeriah smiled at Lathem, simply glad that he was there with her. "It's a long story, love. I'm sure I'll find time to explain it to you later. Let's just say a lot of stuff has happened since our last day together in the Spine." She touched his hand and held it, not letting go for fear that he may fade away back into his insanity again. She looked to her friends and spoke to their minds. "Elyria, Taran, I need you two to do something for me. I need you to go as fast as possible to Aberon and find Oranthor and Jahag, the werecat. Tell them that they need to find Zamah and bring him to me and Lathem. It's really important, but please, there's no time for questions. She looked pleadingly back at her friends, then turned again to Lathem. "What's the last thing you remember, love?" she asked him.

Taran nodded, willing to do anything for his friend. 'Of course, Jeriah. I'll set out immediately, but I'm afraid it is also up to Elyria,' he spoke to her mind.

"I shall help my friend." she spoke to Jeriah. Turning to Taran she asked him "Do you want to take your horse or my dragon? I fear if time is of the essence we should travel with Domia."

"Thank you," Jeriah said, them turned back to Lathem, still smiling at him, trying to figure out what was wrong and trying to figure out how to fix it.

Lathem thought for a moment. "The last thing I remember was falling asleep after a magic and swordsmanship lesson.....just like any other day." Lathem laid his head down again, happy to be with Jeriah. He opened his eyes again, the smile flying off his face. "Today is not that day, is it?"

Jeriah shook her head, sadly. "No, it's not, Lathem. It has..." she paused for a second, wondering if it would be wise to tell him. "It's been nearly a year since that day. Oh, Lathem! So much has happened! I can't even begin to tell you." She grasped him hand, noticing that he no longer had a gedwey ignasia on it. So that explains why Zamah's been avoiding contact with anyone. I only hope Oranthor and Jahag can convince him to come here. Perhaps we can repair this damage. She smiled sadly at Lathem. "Well, let's not focus on the past for now. I will tell you all in good time." She stroked his cheek softly. "I love you, did you know that?"

Taran looked at Elyria, thinking. "I think it would be much better to fly there. The sooner we get there, sooner we can come back," he told her. Nodding his farewell to Jeriah, Taran walked out the door to gather his things.
(OOC: poor Narth! he just gets left everywhere! lol)

Nodding to Jeriah, Elyria turned to make ready to leave as Taran packed his supplies. 'Well Domia looks like we're off to Aberon to see a dragon about a cat.' Domia quietly laughed. 'Yes child. I look forward to seeing Oranthor again. It has been a while.' She arranged the packs on Domia's saddle and awaited for Taran to mount so that they may begin their journey.

Lathem closed his eyes as a tear escaped his eye. "I've......I've lost a year of my life?" He laid his head back on the bed as tears fell down his cheeks. "I.....I wanted to change. Having lost a year.......it'll put me back a little." He opened his eyes and looked at Jeriah. "I wanted to change for you. I love you too, Jeriah. When we get older........I want to marry you, my lady." He smiled through his tears and held her hand tightly, not wanting to let go of her.

"Lathem, you don't need to change for me," Jeriah told him, "I love you just as you are. I wouldn't change a single thing about you, and I won't have you change for me." She laughed a little, then grew serious again. "I would like to be married to you someday. I hope that day's not too far away." She kissed his cheek gently. "Now, are you hungry? I am. I've been looking for you for days with limited resources." She got up and gathered some food nearby. She glanced at Garner, who was still asleep elsewhere. "I'm sure he won't mind if we borrowed some." Jeriah found herself wondering if Lathem knew Garner was his brother. She thought back to what the man had told her about Lathem being given to a cruel man. What kind of father could do such a thing? she wondered.

Lathem smiled. "Hopefully, it will be soon. I wouldn't want any other guy to have you. I'm too selfish for that to happen." He laughed a little bit and glanced at Ganer. "Ah, Ganer? He won't mind. He's like a brother to me. Too bad I'm an only child." He glanced up at Jeriah and pushed his legs from the bed, standing up. A rush of exhaustion overtook him and he fell to the ground. "Yeah I'm hungry."

Jeriah gave a small smile when Lathem mentioned that Ganer was like a brother to him. If only he knew, she thought. She turned and grabbed some fruit from a nearby bowl and handed some to Lathem. "Here, save your strength," she said, looking concerned when he couldn't even stand for a second. "You have no idea what you've recently gone through. I'm still hungry, too." She smiled again. You put up quite a fight when you're determined to died. But that's over with now. She desparately hoped the last was true.

Lathem took the fruit from her hand and studied it. "This apple is weirdly shaped." (OCC:Ok, I'm going to god-mod right now, so I'm sorry lol) Jeriah frowned. "That's a pear, love." Lathem nodded, putting it back in the bowl. "I guess I'm not that hungry...." He got up from the ground slowly, gripping the table in front of him. He pulled himself along, tripping often and then stepped outside. He breathed in some fresh air and looked at his palm. It was clean of the gedwey ignasia that he was so used to. "Jeriah! Jeriah! Where's my.....my gedwey ignasia?!?!" He looked frantically about, falling to the ground in a heap. He was too exhausted to stand.

"Lathem!" Jeriah yelled as he collapsed. She helped him up and laid him back against the wall. Then she went in and grabbed some fruit and a knife. Slicing an apple into small pieces, she gave them to Lathem. "Now, you're going to eat, whether you like it or not. You need to get your strength back up." She glanced at his hand, woefully sorry of what she was about to tell him. "Lathem, I don't know what happened to your gedwey ignasia. But I promise you, Oranthor and Jahag are going to find Zamah and bring him here. We are going to right this wrong, no matter the cost." She continued to coax Lathem into eating some fruit pieces.

Confusion filled his eyes. "W-where's Zamah?" He looked into her eyes as tears fell down his face. "I.....I need to know what's happened between now and that last day I remember. I need to know it all. Every last detail." He laid his head back against the wall and closed his eyes. "Everything." He awaited her reply.
