Allanon walked out of the front gates of his castle home and looked up into the sky. I was a beautiful day. The sun was shining, and there were only nice, white, fluffy clouds in the sky. Then, he brought his fingers up to his mouth and let out a long, low whistle. As he finished, over his head came flying an extremely large bird, eagle-like in appearance. It landed right in front of Allanon, a small saddle strapped to its neck, the wind whipping the old man's robes. "Well, now," he said, mounting the saddle on the bird,"Let's be off" He told the bird where they were going in the ancient language, and it took off from the ground with a mighty heave of its wings.

Tismri and Ismrolde flew over Du Weldenvarden, lost in thoughts of centuries past. Tismri was writing, which was not an easy task while riding on a dragon. Ismrolde suddenly turned to the side and let out a startled mental yelp. A huge bird started flying near them, such as they had not seen before. The bird was very small compared to the ancient copper dragon, but was much much bigger than any of its brethern. And Tismri spied a man sitting atop it. Ismrolde, let's see if we can talk with him, she said. Ismrolde agreed and turned, Tismri keeping a tight grip on her loose papers.

Allanon watched as the Roc veered underneath a large copper dragon. Blasted bird! Allanon thought to himself, I hope that is not an Imperial dragon, otherwise....I'm outclassed here. Allanon turned to look and saw a woman on top of the large dragon, and turned the reigns on the bird so that it turned to face the dragon. "Hello, there!" he shouted over to the woman,"My apologies about that. My bird here gets a little too excited sometimes."

Tismri nodded to the man sitting on the bird. "It is quite understandable," she said, "I doubt very few creatures would be able to get this close to a flying dragon and not lose their nerve." She looked curiously at the eagle-like creature. "I must say, in all the many years I have walked this land, I have never seen a bird quite like that. How did you find it?"

"Well," Allanon said,"I didn't quite so much find it...but, that's a longer story." He chuckled a little at himself, and then looked at the Rider again. "So, how long have you walked Alagaesia, exactly?" he asked her.

Tismri's smile grew at the question, wondering if he would believe her if she told him. "Oh, about four years shy of five centuries."

Allanon raised his eyebrows. "Well, now, that is a long time, isn't it?" he said, smiling up at the Rider,"Well, it would seem you have a few centuries on me, then."

"And what about you?" she asked him, "how many centuries have seen you live here?" OOC: lol, can't think of anything else to say.

"Just over one," Allanon replied with a pleasant smile, patting the neck of the bird beneath him,"And this large bird has been with me for the last 27 years."

Daed walked through the forest humming a sorrow filled song. His bare feet were caressed by the flowers and grass he walked upon.Daed cast a mental picture of him and Kia playing in this part og the forest.he remembered she loved a certain flower,it was a rare rose that was a blend of purple and blue.A tear fell down his eye as he thought of his lost dragon.

Daedalus walked through the forest and let Intrepidus fly overhead. He loved to fly but not here in home. Here in the forest Daedalus was more comfortable walking and talking with the trees. He heard a call in his mind from his best friend, his dragon Intrepidus.
There are others with me in the sky. I can see them ahead but they do not seem to be over threatening. On of them is a very large dragon.
This intrigued Daedalus. He knew that Intrepidus was in no way small, but for him to say that this dragon was very large then it must be gigantic in deed. As he walked, lost in his thoughts he saw another man walking through the forest and he called out with his mind for his dragon.
It would seem that I am not alone either. I have found a man down here as well. Maybe we should approach with caution.
And they did just that, Daedalus walking slowly toward the man that seemed so sad and Intrepidus flying towards the other flying creatures including the dragon that he was sure would spot him soon if it had not done so already.
