"There are a few of us, such as I, who have dispersed ourselves secretly among the peoples of Alagaesia. We try our best to save these newly chosen Riders and take them to training grounds like this one. Once we get them there we train them as best we can in the traditions of the Riders," Jaygon said. "Sometimes however our efforts fail and a Rider and dragon fall to Galbatorix's corruption. For them there is still a chance for redemption, but the chance is sometimes very slim," he explained.

Tia nodded, and put the squirming dragonling on the ground. "So, when do we start?" She said eagerly.

"We may start whenever you wish," Jaygon said taking a sip of the tea he had just finished making. He snapped his fingers and a weapons rack rose from the ground. On the rack was a variety of weapons most of them in the traditional making of elven or grey folk workmanship. There few other weapons from the other peoples throughout Alagaesia. "Your first task is to use one of these weapons to defeat me..."

Tia stared warily at the elder rider, sizing him up. She strode over to the rack. He fights with a sword, she thought, eyeing the scabbard. So I'll pick accordingly. She reached for a short blade, but then a two-handed battle-axe cought her eye. She snatched it up and whirled, she liked the feel of this axe. Mabye I'll ask if I can keep it after wards.

"You may proceed when ready," Jaygon said.

Tia stood stock-still. Watching for any change in Jaygon's stance. Quick as a wasp she lashed out and swung the axe at his head. She would stop at the last minute if he couldn't deflect. How-ever highly unlikely that may be.
