She smiled laughing softly. "I assure you, my love, this was unintentional, though hopefully not unpleasant." She took his hand and allowed him to help her from the water. "Doc is upset that Sanctuary has been compromised. I fear he is right to be upset my love, but there was no other way. We will have to find a new safehaven I fear."

Taran nodded in agreement. "But I fear, love, that is must not be a place known to any other than ourselves."

"That will be hard. I do not think we will find any warmer welcome from the Varden or Ellesmeara than we do here in the Empire." She looked at him with concern in her eyes. They would need to find someplace safe for them in the future. She could carry the babes within her on the run for awhile but eventually... the thought scared her a little. She shared her thoughts and feelings with Taran through their bond.

Taran sensed her worry, but he knew they would overcome whatever they came across. He sent comforting thoughts and emotions through their bond. "It will be alright, Aethelwyne. We will be alright, and the children will be safe, and will grow to stand for justice, no matter who is in control of the world."

Gathering strength from his words and his love, she let her worries fade. They had time. And they had their love. Looking into his eyes, she gently kissed his lips. Then smiling she looked out over the lake, shivering a little in her damp clothes.

Taran focused on the magic between himself, Aethelwyne, and the twins. Drawing from that strength, he pulled the water from her clothes, drying them instantly. The water slowly wound its way back into the lake, while Taran put his arm around his wife's shoulders. "This better, my love?" he asked, following her gaze out across the lake.

"How did you do that?" she asked as her clothes were dry and she warmed beneath them. She looked at him with an air of disbelief.

Taran just shrugged his shoulders. "There is a word in the ancient language for water, and there is also a word for leaving, combine them and you get, water leave her clothes," he said in a matter-a-fact sort of way, a smile on his lips.

"I know some of the ancient language, but have never used it alot. Seithr magic comes easier to me. Perhaps I need to pay more attention to the ancient language." She looked at him. "Maybe you could help me with it?"

Taran nodded, taking her hand. "Very well. Come with me, I'll show you some of the different names for nature." Taran then began teaching Aethelwyne many words in the ancient language, telling her about the limits and everything using that magic entails.

Aethelwyne listened intently as Taran showed her about the ancient language. He spoke with an excitement and intensity as he taught her. "I don't know how I'll ever remember all of this." She said as they stopped by a flowering tree.

Taran laughed then gestured at the tree. "Actions speak louder than words, my love," he told her. "Try something with this tree."

She saw a bird sitting in the branches above there head. She tried to speak to the bird in the ancient language asking it to fly to her hand. Instead the bird flew leaving it's waste dropped squarely into her outstretched hand. "I think I will stick to speaking to animals in the Seithr way." Looking at Taran with a stunned look on her face. Slowly the smile widened across her mouth as she laughed heartily.

Taran laughed, catching himself on the tree so as not to fall over. "Uh...love?" he said, still laughing. "You don't need to speak to animals in the ancient language. You can speak to them as you do to Doc. You only use the ancient language to tell them your true intent." He kept laughing, taking a small cloth from his pocket to clean her hand.

She laughed and suddenly stopped, shooting him a stern look at his laughter. Then she burst out laughing again. "What do you expect? I am the only half elf in the seithr coven. Ancient languages and elven traditions weren't high on their list of studies."
