Aethelwyne's face grew cold and hard. "Salian" she said. Closing her eyes, she held out her hands to pull the memory from their surroundings. Seithrs had long known that all life left an energy footprint, if you will, behind. Speaking the words of old, she slowly moved around Sanctuary, including the dragons keep. She chanted as she reached out, retracing events. A mist rose slowly around them as the vision took on a dreamlike quality, showing them the past. Elianora and Sal were in the kitchen, then outdoors. Aethelwyne watched as Salian weakened and then captured Eli by taking hold of her spirit. She felt his intentions, as well as those of Torlynden. Breaking off her contact, the mist vanished. She didn't use this type of seithr magic often because of the price it exacted upon the user. Weakend, she made her way to sit.
"Taran. Doc was right to be so angry. Galbatorix has a hold over Salian. He still works for him despite his feelings for Elianora. He and Torlynden have returned to Uru'baen. He presents Eli and her dragon to Galbatorix to regain favor. He correctly surmised that because of my debt to Eli, I would come after her. Sanctuary is no longer compromised…it is known to Galbatorix. We will have to leave soon. We need someplace safe to think and plan, but I don’t know…” She looked to Taran with worry now drawn over her expression.

Taran sat beside Aethelwyne, looking into her worry filled eyes. "I know, love," he said calmly. "There is a place I came across some years ago during my travels, and I think we would be safe there. Pack your things that you wish to bring...and I recommend cold weather clothes." Taran stood, then walked off into the ruined sanctuary, packing all his thick clothes and warm blankets. 'Where is it we are going, Taran?' Adurthil asked him. 'Away. We are going further east, and up into the mountains. With dragons, it will be easier to reach, though it is very high. You may not be able to fly the entire way, the air may be too thin."

Aethelwyne nodded to him and doing as he said, packed her things. Once the supplies and few belongings, mostly weapons, battle clothes and a few other pieces of clothing, were ready by the door, she walked into their bedroom, taking the large black fur cloak from a chest, she folded it over her arm and sat on the bed. Looking around their sanctuary, she felt the tear in her eye. Her refuge for all of these years had finally found the one thing it was missing...him. Now she would have to leave it behind forever. It had become a home afterall.

"Ah, yes. That is true." His brow furrowed as he considered where he could keep his new prisoner. Of course, Aethelwyne would expect anywhere in the castle, but would she consider anything off-campus, so to speak? In his mind, he pictured the different towns in Alagaesia. He stopped at Helgrind, picturing the large, seemingly impenetrable tower on the outskirts of the town Dras'leona. He could keep the elf and her dragon within that dark tower.
"I've decided. You will take the half-elf and her dragon to Helgrind, where you will guard them. None except a select few know how to enter that tower." With his mind, he sent the information Salian would need to know about entering into the slaver's mind. "Take them there."

Salian nodded, and he and Torlynden left the castle. Using magic, Salian bound Soranai to Torlynden, making her fly right next to him. They flew high above the ground, so high that many things indistinguishable. Day passed to night and Salian landed the dragons, making them rest for the night. Soranai stayed close to Elianora, watching her eat, and then sleep, with anxious eyes. Worry and pain emanated from the young dragon.
The next day, Helgrind and Dras-Leona were in view. The two dragons circled it once, and then entered through the illusion wall. Salian shivered as he slipped of Torlynden. The place smelled of death and despair. He lead his group deeper into the mountain and chose a clean cave to rest in. The second he let Elianora off of Torlyn's bck, she wandered over to a wall and looked at it, her eyes bewildered. Then she closed her eyes and leaned against the wall.
Salian made a fire and prepared a meal. He and Elianora ate in silence, and then Elianora curled up, her eyes wide. The fire reflected off her blank eyes, and Salian wished that she was destined for a happier fate.

Taran made sure he had packed everything he would need, including many furs. He told Aethelwyne to pack warm clothes, but he knew that she would not have exactly what he meant. Where they were going very few creatures could survive, and even fewer places to escape the cold. Not many trees grew in close proximity to his hideout, so fires would be difficult. The only natural source of warmth was the natural hot spring. Taran walked into the sanctuary, finding Aethelwyne on their bed. Leaning against the doorway, Taran looked at her. "Are you ready, love?" he asked, feeling the sorrow within her.

She looked at him and felt his love for her. A smile softly came to her lips. "Yes love. I am ready." She knew that it was his love, their love, that would make a home where ever they may be. Standing she walked to him, embracing him, she kissed him softly.

Taran kissed Aethelwyne back, taking her in his arms. Taran led her outside, where he had packed their bags on Doc. Gesturing, Taran climbed atop Adurthil, beckoning her to follow. "With all our belongings on Doc, and both us on Adurthil, we will make much better time."

She reached out to Taran and taking his hand climbed atop Adurthil with him. She gave one last look too Sanctuary, quietly saying good-bye to a part of her life, she looked ahead as the dragons lifted off and she looked toward a new chapter.

Taran held Aethelwyne before him in the saddle, pulling her tight against his chest as Adurthil leaped into the air. 'We will be heading off to the northeast from here,' he told her through their link. 'We will be there before sundown tomorrow."

Secure in Taran's embrace, she watched as they flew. Lying her head against his chest, she let all of her cares go. She just enjoyed the feel of his touch and the flight.

(OOC: ima speed this up a bit, okay?)
Adurthil landed near a cave in the side of a mountain, Doc close behind. The sun had set an hour earlier, and it was time the dragons and Aethelwyne rested. Taking out his large bedroll, he beckoned Aethelwyne to lay beside him.

Aethelwyne crawled into the bedroll next to Taran. She lay close to him for warmth. She looked into his eyes and kissed him softly. 'Where ever you lead my love, I shall follow. Always.' She spoke across their bond.

Taran kissed her back, sending feelings of love and happiness across their bond. Laying on his back, Taran let the cold outside and the warmth of Aethelwyne beside him take him to sleep.

The stress and fatigue of the day weighed heavy on her. She let herself become absorbed by the feel of Taran next to her. Sleep took her and her dreams were kind to her. She saw a home with two children playing by a stream. She watched them from under the shade of a nearby tree. She looked beside her and there was Taran. They were together, happy, in love, a family. She smiled in her sleep as his mark upon her chest softly glowed.
