"....I know you two will be very happ--" Romulus' rambling words were cut off by Tenal Ka's hand. He stared at her, a mixture of perplexity and surprise. He felt his heart beat go into a rampage as Tenal Ka drew close to him. His breathing halted as her hand glided over his cheek. He let out a satisfied sigh as her fingers snaked into his hair. Was this possible? Had he misinterpreted her words before. He closed his eyes, enjoying the way her fingers trailed his hair. She possessed the talent of controlling his heart with ease. His eyes shut open wide as she emphasized each syllable of of her love. He glanced at her, searching her eyes, as if to really confirm the truthfulness in her words. He was silent as the words processed into his mind. A relieved grin appeared on his face. "And I love you, Tenal Ka." The words flew out of his mouth with ease and his breathing seemed to come back to him momentarily. And then, a wild streak seemed to flash in the rim of his eyes. Dropping the shackles, Romulus' wild side took over as he grabbed Tenal Ka, one hand darting across her neck, the other around her hip, drawing her close to him as he crashed his lips against hers. For so long he desired to here those words escape her lips. For so long, he wanted to outline her body with his hands. For so long, he wanted her to know him as much as he wanted to know her.

Tenel Ka enjoyed watching the truth dawn on Rom's face, his expression one that she would treasure for a long time. His words merely confirmed what she already knew, and she was glad he finally said it.
She was caught be surprise when he suddenly pulled her close in a quick, wild movement. She met his lips with a fervor, and she soon lost herself, the only thing on her mind was Rom, finally truly getting to know him as she had long desired to. She started to back away toward the bedroom, pulling him with her. In the heat of the moment, the tiara fell from her head and crashed to the floor; she really didn't care at the moment.

Romulus kisses were a bit aggressive as he hungrily acted on impulse and desire. He felt Tenal Ka lead him toward the bedroom, and obediently followed, albeit, a bit clumsyly. Rom had wanted her for so long, he thought at times he would go insane whenever they were near one another. He wondered when Tenal Ka had fallen in love with him and why he hadn't noticed sooner! He felt them pass through the door frame and into her bedroom. He then heard a clatter and momentarily resurfaced from Tenal Ka's lips to glance at the tiara. Knowing what had made the noise, Romulus returned his attention to Tenal Ka. His lips now, trailing down her neck, as his hands glided down to both sides of her waist, and then to her thighs as he lowered himself to lift her up, intending to have her legs wrap around his waist, as he hoped to carry her to the bed.

Tenel Ka's body obeyed Rom's promptings as her legs wrapped around his waist. She shuddered with pleasure as his lips trailed down her neck. Her own lips moved to his ear and she gently bit on it. How long had she wanted this? How long had this been her greatest desire? That time away from him had been such torture, that it made this reunion even better. When she was with him, she found she was able to forget that she had a country to rule and an example to set. He allowed her to be free to do whatever she wanted. And right now, this was all she wanted to do. OOC: Ah...cue rooster.  |

OOC: Indeed....RISE AND SHINE! lol
The warmth of Tenal Ka's body pressed against his made the morning start off wonderfully. Romulus was snuggled behind the Queen's body, his head buried in her beautiful hair. He stirred from his half awaken state; she pratically made him stay up the whole night long. His thoughts were one of happiness as he recalled where he was. He had never imagined that he would be here, next to Tenal Ka, in her bed of all places. He laid there, in quiet happiness as he listened to her breathing, desiring to imprint the memory of waking up beside her into his memory. His lips then grazed her exposed shoulder, not intending to wake her, but to simply enjoy the fact that he could do that.

Tenel Ka stirred from her slumber as she sensed, more than felt, Rom move. She opened her eyes and memories of the previous night rushed to her. She smiled and turned over to face the man sharing her bed, her eyes unusually bright.
"Good morning, my love," she whispered to him, brushing her lips against his jaw. She really didn't want to get up; she would love to just stay there with him the rest of the day. But she had duties to which she needed to attend.

"Good morning." He smiled at the radiant figure beside him. "Mmm.." He let out a pleased sound as she kissed him. He made a playful pout as she only kissed his jaw. "That's not a proper good morning." He tilted his head downward and throughly kissed her on the lips. "Mmm, much better." Romulus grinned widely at her as his eyes studied her eyes, enchanted by them. His grin then turned mischievous. His hands began to tickle her as he demonstrated a more playful side to him.

Tenel Ka's mind blanked for a moment as Rom kissed her, for a moment completely forgetting about her life. How did he do that to her? She could never understand.
"Mm...you're certainly not helping to convince me to get up and attend to my duties," she informed him. Then she noticed the michievous look on his face and knew he was up to something. As he tickled her, she laughed and pushed away, trying to escape his fingers. She caught on of his wrists with her hand, but was unable to stop the other.
"Ahahaha--stop, that's not fair! Hahahahahaha--you've got two hands."

Romulus laughed with Tenal Ka as he tickled her. His devious look didn't vanish as one of his wrists were captured. "And when would that ever stop you, my dear?" He stopped tickling her, instead, whipped his free hand around her waist, rolling her atop him. He gave her an alluring stare, his hand caressing her back. "Now, since when did I say that I would help convince you to leave this bed?" He asked her, humor evident in his voice. "Am I not a guest? It wouldn't be very hospitable for the Queen Mother to leave me roaming around by myself would it? Hmm?" He gave her a roguish grin. "I think one of your duties is to keep me...uh...entertained."
OOC: Mmm...what adventure can we explore....

Tenel Ka allowed Rom to pull her on top of him, returning his rougish grin. Despite their rather long night, she still felt very frisky.
"Oh, well if you put it that way, I'll make that my main priority. My steward can handle everything else, I'm sure." She brought her lips back to his, then began to trail down to his chest.
Suddenly, she felt alert for something. It was like a sixth sense that she was luckily born with, and one that had kept her alive. It was enhanced ever since she bonded with Caedus, as her silvery palm would begin to tingle whenever danger was near. Following her survival instincts, she wrapped her arm tightly around Rom and jerked off the bed and hard onto the floor, just barely missing the gleaming arrow that embedded itself at an odd angle in the mattress from the window. It would have drilled right into her skull if it had met its mark. And she could tell from the way it had landed that they weren't out of the line of sight of the assassin yet. She backed up against the wall underneath the window, dragging Rom with her.
"Leave it to an assassin to kill the mood," she said sourly.

"I must confess, I'm one that needs constant attention." He laughed as their lips drew together. He began to kiss her more aggressively when his sharp hearing recognized the sound of a flying arrow. He withdrew from the kiss, feeling an alarm go off in his head. It seemed Tenal Ka sensed something too, for she quickly reacted and rolled them both off the bed. Under different circumstances, her stunt would have illicit a more playful nature out of the Ranger, but knowing the seriousness of their situation, Rom's Ranger instincts kicked in as he followed Tenal Ka against the wall. Rom growled out a few verbal insults toward the unknown assassin for disrupting his time with Tenal Ka. Using his foot, Rom slid his pants over and awkwardly placed them on so that they would avoid another hit. "I'm gonna kill who ever did that." His eyes darted to the impedded arrow. "They'll regret trying to kill you." His voice was filled with anger as he managed to retrieve more of their clothing. He handed Tenal Ka the dress she had worn last night, but made an audible groan. It appeared that he had ripped the dress out of his eagerness last night. "Sorry about that; I doubt you want to wear a dress right now anyways." He smirked, his eyes glancing at her naked form for a brief moment before offering her his shirt. He had no idea where her clothes were in her room. Returning his attention to the unknown killer, Rom peeked his head carefully over the window pane, in hopes to locate the assassin's position. "Do you think Caedus can spot him from the sky?" He asked Tenal Ka, as his hands groped to find his bow and arrow. The assassin would regret trying to kill his beloved. Him and whoever hired him.

Tenel Ka couldn't help but smirk at Rom's fury. If he was going to stay with her, he would very quickly get used to this, she was sure. Dodging arrows and testing food and watching her back were like a daily routine for her. In a way, she almost preferred being on a battlefield. At least there, she didn't have to fear these cowardly attacks.
"Do me a favor and try not to kill him yet," she told him as he handed her the dress. She stared at the large rip in it for a moment and groaned. "My grandmother is going to give me an earful when she sees what you did to this dress," she informed him as she accepted the shirt. She put it on to cover herself as she sneaked around the room toward her wardrobe on the far side. She tried to judge from the angle of the first arrow where the assassin might be standing and hide from him, but he seemed to have moved, for another arrow came at her, which she dodged by somersaulting forward and hiding behind the bed.
"Anyway, keep him alive for now, if you can. If we can get him to tell us who hired him, I can have one less cousin trying to bring about my untimely demise."

OOC: lol I don't think Rom will enjoy having the conversation with Tamor Fam about why Tenal Ka's elegant dress was ripped to shreds...lol Or more the conversation with her father...lol
Romulus grunted with irritation. "No..I don't think I can keep him alive for very long." Rom told Tenal Ka as he found his weapons. His rage had taken over. He would not let this trespass against Tenal Ka survive. Since he had given away his tunic to Tenal Ka, which he found the image of her with it very alluring, Rom made due with his cloak covering him. Idly hoping that Tenal Ka's grandmother or father wouldn't ask why his shirt was on Tenal Ka, Romulus strapped his sword to his side. He growled out again when Tenal Ka was once again attacked. "That's enough! That insolent coward!" Rom traced the trajectory of the arrow with his trained elven eyes. "He's dead." Without another word, Rom hopped out of the window, using wards to protect him from another arrow attack as he scaled the palace walls with ease and quickness toward the direction of the assassin on the other side of the palace, just right across Tenal Ka's bedroom window.

OOC: Haha, yeah, a conversation with her father might not go over so well with him. I'm not sure exactly how Tamar Fam would react, though...Hahaha! You know, it would be hilarious if Tristan walked by and heard the sounds of the attack and did his bodyguard duty... Tenel Ka shook her head to herself as Rom jumped out the window to kill the assassin. He had such a temper, really. While the assassin was distracted by Rom, she poked her head up and pulled the arrow out of the mattress and studied it. It was a rare quality, with a perfectly crafted steel tip, and a shaft that was plated with metal so it could be reused multiple times if retrieve. Very expensive; it seemed whichever cousin or aunt hired this one did not spare any expense this time. Which meant the hired man was likely very good at what he did. It was really only pure luck that kept her alive this time around. She also noted that the tip of the arrow was wet, likely with poison, just in case he missed a vital spot when he shot her. She was more irritated that anything. Couldn't they have picked a more suitable time to attack her? She hated it when someone tried to kill her while she was still in bed; it was so rude! |

OOC: You know, I was just thinking about bringing him in, but I hadn't figured out some minor details yet...like...if he's married yet. lol. And if he stayed with the Varden to train as a Rider...so...not quite sure....let me see if I can find you a substitute...lol
Romulus landed onto the roof with ease. He spotted the masked figure not to far oft. The man was already taking off in a run when he noticed that Rom would not be killed easily. The Ranger had easily dodged the arrows that were targeted at him already. Fury burned in Rom as he chased the assassin down. Rom had always been a patient and tolerable man, but when it came to Tenel Ka, he would not forgive anyone who had threatened her easily. A snarl escaped his lips as he raced across the crystal palace, his target just distance away from him. Leaping over the buildings, Rom swore that this man would pay dearly, but right after he got some answers.
