History: Seth comes from a humble background of farmers. He was born blind, but thankfully his parents helped him grow up into a fun-loving young man and taught him that with hard work anything is possible. As Seth grew older, he discovered that his senses were acute as his body acclimated with the loss of his eyes. With his parents, Seth would help around the chores, never being given "simplier" tasks because of his handicap, but rather trained in everything. Seth's favorite chore usually involves working with the horses, whether shoeing them or grooming, he finds peace and joy in his tasks.
When Seth was 10, he discovered that he could do magic. The occurance was rather an accident, as Seth was listening to a storyteller that had traveled into town. The traveler was telling the tale of Eragon Shadeslayer and mentioned his sword, Brisingr, and explained that it meant fire. Fascinated with the story, Seth went home, wishing he could be like Eragon when he so happened utter Brisingr. Nothing happened at first, but a strange feeling welled up in Seth; a warm feeling in the pit of his stomach, calling him. It was a strange feeling, but following the urge, Seth uttered the spell and had formed a ball of fire, which frightened his Father (he was traveling with him). Since then, Seth would try to gather as much information about magic, but being limited due to his farmer status, also books were scarce and his parents did not know how to read. However, this did not deter him. Seth continued to find ways to learn and grow and eventually learned a few simple spells.
In a few more years, Seth's fate would change in his 17th year when a pair of Dragon Riders appeared in his town. Excited like the rest of the villagers, Seth went to "meet" them. They had brought dragon eggs and desired all to touch them as well as to scout out potential riders; Seth was discovered to be one of the few that held promise, especially when he had touched a blue egg and it had seemed to move under his touch.
Preparations were soon made for Seth to go to New Doru Arabea, where he would train as a rider. Weeks after his arrival, the blue egg hatched for Seth, marking him with the gedwey ignasia. Seth had named the dragon Hyperion.

Seth awoke in the night hearing a rustling near his bedside. Of course, it always seemed like night to him if he trusted in his eyes, but the sound of crickets reached his ears, as well as the soft and tender caress of the light of the moon; it didn't feel as hot as the sun. He could also taste the coldness in the air, signifying that he probably left the window open again. He carefully got out of bed, turning toward the rustling sound. He tilted his head slightly in its direction, pinpointing it as the egg. Was it hatching!? That was exciting. He quickly rushed toward the egg, already having memorized the room the first day he had come to New Doru Arabea. Excitement filled him as he paused right before the self that held the egg. Carefully, Seth picked the egg up, feeling its smooth veined surface. It was a wonder to him that he could be choosen as a rider! The egg continued to rock and Seth quickly recalled one of his tutors advice to leave the egg be in its spot when it begins to hatch. Following the instructions, Seth placed the egg down. Not soon after, he heard the egg shell crack...followed by a burst as he felt some of the egg shell hit him. He carefully reached out his hand, sensing the new presence with his mind. "Hello there..." Seth whispered into the night, his fingers outstretched. He heard a chirp escape the dragon and for once he wished he could see it! His fingers lightly touched a slimey substance, followed by scaly skin, though it was a lot smoother and softer than the older dragons he had touched before. The next thing he knew, Seth felt a sharp, cold, tingling feeling course through him. He writhed to his knees and soon felt a new mind within his own, along with a tingling sensation on his right palm. Panting, Seth gingerly touched his palm, tracing the gedwey ignasia. "I'm a Rider!" He exclaimed. He soon felt a warmth reach his chest and immediatly deduced that the dragon was lying on his chest. He smiled. This was going to be the start of something great!
