Character's name: Lord Elias of Belatona
Character's age: 30
Character's attitude: Upright and loyal. Elias does his best to uphold the law and exercise proper judgement. Strongwilled, if a bit headstrong, Elias radiates a confident and strong demeanor. He is a soldier through and through, thus appreciates being in the front lines rather than the commanding post.
Character's Race: Human
Character's appearance:
Character's allegiance: Queen Nasuada (I guess you can say Dragon Riders)
Weapons: An elegant longsword heirloom named Bane. Anything that can cause damage.
Other Info: Was presence at the siege of Belatona during the War with Galbatorix, but managed to flee before it was taken with his elder brother and twin sister (up for grabs). Is the second cousin to Lord Bradburn, but holds no loyalty to him.
History: Elias was born to one of the lower Lords of Belatona; he has a twin sister and older brother. He grew up quite kind than those of his relatives, however, as all Lords, Elias was taught the way to rule and fight. Elias grew up with a strict code that implied respect and honor and anyone who defied the code was punished. When Elias was fifteen, his father and mother had taken their family to visit the main castle of Belatona. During their visit, the Varden had laid siege to the city. Elias had known that the Varden was the enemy, however, secretly sympathsized with their cause - his family shared the same sentiment. As the Varden army drew closer, Elias' father was force by Lord Bradburn to fight, but managed to secretly orchestrate Elias and his brother and sister's flight out of the city (much to their dismay as they wanted to help their father and mother). Elias and his siblings escaped and watched from afar as the city of Belatona was conquered.
Months later, Elias and his siblings were found and discovered by the Varden and placed before Queen Nasuada. If they swore fealty to the now-Queen, they were allowed to keep their lands and serve under her. Elias, knowing that a tyrant was conquered agreed, along with his siblings, and thus reclaimed his title as one of the Lords of Belatona. When he was 16, as custom for a noble of Belatona, Elias enlisted with the military, where he became skilled in the art of war and command. Now, at the age of 30, Elias has become one of the Colonels in Queen Nasuada's army, having proved himself over the years in skirmishes against raiders, slavers, pirates, and any other being that dared to disturb the rising peace.
Role Play Sample:
Elias stared, wide eyed and terrified, as he watched Belatona become overrun by the Varden. A huge part of him wanted to run back, to help his mother and father, but the firm hand against his shoulder held him in place. He turned to look at his brother. He was surprised to see the stone hard gaze that never left the city. Elias wanted to open his mouth, but his brother spoke first.
"Father said we must stay here, Elias. So we must stay." Elias could tell that his brother was having a difficult time accepting that order, but when their Father gave an order, it must be obeyed. So they obeyed, even if their hearts ached as they all watched as a mighty blue dragon flew above the city. Elias, ever knowing the presence of his twin, reached out his hand - without tearing his eyes away from the fiery flames that spewed from the dragon's mouth - and gripped his sister's, a silent reassurance that somehow, all would be well.
