History:
Yamnato was born in Aberon, in Surda, but very soon after he was weaned to food his parents sent him to live with his uncle(Harkaas) on the South shore of lake Tüdosten. Harkaas was the master instructor at a small school of combat, and was charged with raising Yamnato. During his first few years Yamnato proved to be both agile and reckless, but he was small. A few of the older students took every opportunity to remind him of this fact, which quickly brought out his temper. Although Yamnato was patient, his emotions got the best of him and in one incident he severely injured one of his bullies with a spear. Harkaas was wise, and rather than expel Yamnato he provided him with this grace: he would stay at the school of fighting, but he would never lay finger on another weapon. Through years of Brutal training and learning Yamnato lived with his uncles rule learning to be deadly with his hands and feet. When Yamnato was old enough he left the school, and even though he gained the right to use weapons, he has never done so. Yamnato journeyed back to Aberon to find his parents, but when he arrived he found that they had been displaced by the war, and were not where he expected to find them.
Role Play Sample:
Pow! Yamnato slammed against the wall once again. Although he had been training hard for years it seemed he would never get the best of his uncle. "Get up (G)nat, lets do it again." Harkaas only used that name when Yamnato did particularly bad at some exercise. Yamnato performed a simple roll to rise to his feet and stepped back into the sparring circle, preparing himself mentally for another bout when his uncle surprised him. "Do you know what day it is Yamnato?" he did not know. "Thursday." a safe answer. Harkaas smiled "Technically correct, but entirely useless in this case, similar to the attack you just tried on me. Today is the day you were brought to me all those years ago, the closest thing you have to a birthday here." With that he pulled a package out from behind the drapes, and tossed it towards his nephew. Gracefully Yamnato caught the gift and carefully extracted the contents, a deep brown overcloak with dozens of pockets lining the inside.
