Last RWBY trailer came out today!!!
Your username: Jeriah/Tismri
Character's name: Yang Therese
Character's age: 39
Character's attitude: Yang has a very playful attitude, flirting one moment then punching the next. She is not afraid of anything; she does have a tendency to lose her temper in a fight occasionally. Generally, she is a very carefree spirit.
Character's Race: elf
Character's appearance:
Character's allegiance: Dragon Riders
Weapons: Two bracers on her forearms hide powerful, tiny crossbows, reinforced by magic to deal extra damage. Yang also knows a lot of martial arts and is fiercesome in hand-to-hand combat. Lastly, she is a powerful sorceress and has expert control over the spirits she summons.
Other Info: She is Ruby and Weiss' half sister. Whenever Yang summons spirits, there are various stages to how powerful it makes her, and it affects her outward appearance. First, her hair begins to glow as if on fire. Next, her eyes turn red like a Shade's. Finally, her entire body and everything surrounding seem to burst into flames. This has a downside as she has to focus most of her energy on maintaining control and, as with everyone who performs sorcerey, she runs the risk of becoming a Shade.
History:
Yang was born years before her sister to their father and his first mate, another elf. When she reached the age of twelve, her parents went their separate ways. Yang spent the next few years with her mother, although they both stayed on good terms with her father.
Yang, like a number of other elves, sensed a slight disturbance in the peace that had been brought upon Alagaesia, and has been preparing for the event of something disruptive. With her father, she designed her own weapons that could be easily concealed, but shoot deadly bolts at distant targets quickly. She also practiced her hand-to-hand combat daily, until she was able to defeat even most male elves.
Since the age of twenty, she has been practicing the art of sorcery, despite the general discouragement she's received. At first, she never delved much beyond summoning to enhance her magical abilities. But with the recent increase of the number of Shades in the world, crescendoing with the revelation of Katriana, Yang understands that she has to fight fire with fire, spirits with spirits. She uses these summoned beings to increase her own strength and stamina, essentially making herself equal to a Shade without enslaving herself to the spirits. However, she has to constantly watch and make sure she's not too distracted by anything, so she can relinquish the spirits when she must. Whenever she uses her fullest power, it tends to leave her drained nearly to the point of unconsciousness for at least a day.
After Ruby and Weiss' mother was murdered by a Shade, Yang knew she had to seek out the fighting in earnest. She is a young lieutenant in Arya's army, and often goes out solo or in small groups to ambush Katriana's scouting parties.
Role Play Sample:
Yang sat down at the bar with a smile as she ordered her drink. The man sitting a short ways down seemed to be sizing her up, staring at her as if she was some sort of dinner. Well, she was rather used to it. Humans had some very carnal, self-centered thoughts. Really, this town was just a stopover to her next location. She really had nothing to do here except rest.
After a few minutes, the man moved closer, sitting next to her.
"What brings a pretty thing like you in here tonight?" he asked, his eyes rarely making it up to her face.
"Just traveling," she replied with a smile that was more a smirk. She took a swig at her drink.
"By yourself?" he asked. His hand was drifting toward her leg. She shifted slightly and leaned against the bar.
"Perhaps," she replied. She gave him a slight wink, finished her drink, and stood to leave. He grabbed tightly onto her elbow as she turned away.
"Hold on there, blondie. You're not leaving until you've spent the night in my bed." Yang supposed his expression would have been menacing to another girl, but she nearly giggled.
"Well, if you're going to be that way about it..." She leaned forward as if she was going to kiss him. At the last second, he closed his eyes, and in that instant, she sent a fist flying toward his groin, sending him sprawling to the floor.
