Character's attitude: Shy when you first meet her, but soon starts to get a little more wild. Is a bit stubborn, but will give in eventually (unless it's something she REALLY believes). Also kind. Not the bravest or most courageous.

Character's Race: Human

Character's appearance: Dark brown eyes, brown hair that changes shades between the seasons, shortish mediumish face, 5'4", usually wears a loose but fitting green shirt with brown pants and leather boots (before becoming a Rider, new style undecided)

Character's allegiance: Dragon Rider

Weapons: Uses a one handed sword, an oak shield (when not taken by surprise), training with a bow and magic. Bow work needs improving.

Other Info: Is smart and clever. Can play an ocarina and is a fair singer. Can figure out things easily. Can read and Write. Just don't ask her to do longhand and it is still legible.

History: Lived a quiet life in Teirm with her family helping with their shop. Never really knew much about the Riders.

Role Play Sample: "You know you're never going to be a Rider." Her brother, Brac told her. Nyala had asked Brac what he thought being a Rider would be like.

"I know it's a longshot, but it's not impossible." She said, still wondering.

"The day you become a rider is the day pigs will fly. You just aren't cut out for it."

"Wanna bet?" I asked.

"You know you'll lose. Come one, we'd better get ready." And with that, Brac went up to his room, Nyala following up to hers.

Just a heads up im not a mod but you probably will need more History for the mods to approve your app.

Also with the RP sample here we post in the third person.
things like "I asked." should be "she asked" so like pass tense its a little bit strange to get your head around at first, but when you think of most books thats how they are written, Like the Inheritance Cycle for example. Take a look at some of the Rp threads that should give you a better idea.

For the history you could add things about the characters family and may be a significant event that happened in the past. How she becomes a rider, where she is trained, how did she get her Sword and shield. Its okay if you want to Rp that stuff here you can sill do that.
Also if you Rp something that is significant in the persons history you can always add it to your app. its always useful if other people want to read about your character before Rping with you.

Exactly as Mel says. The mods are pretty strict about the 10 sentence deal for history. Sometimes it helps just to hang out and think for a while about who your character is, where they came from, what their childhood was like, what their favorite things to do are, if they have or had a pet, if there was a traumatic experience in their childhood that caused them to become who they are today.
If you've ever seen the Batman Begins, there are some scenes that focus on how, when he was young, Bruce Wayne fell down a hole and could not get out. While he was down there, he was swarmed by bats. Because he was so scared, this fear of bats that started at that moment continued on into adulthood, causing him to choose the Bat as his image, because it would inspire fear in others just like it inspired in him.
Experiences like that are what make a character. Feel free to read any of the applications on here. for reference, I'll especially offer mine since I don't mind if they're used.
