"Before I talk to the other Riders let us go to the training fields" thought Nathaniel. he drew his Riders Sword and with agility he started slashing targets to shreds. and he faced the last dummy and as his teachers had taught him he stored most of his power in to his blade. Then he jumped into the air as far as he could be and with all his might he slashed at the dummy. The dummy busted to pieces ,but Nathaniel's energy drained completely. then Nathaniel fainted.

occ: If Nathaniel's energy drained completely he would be dead.. perhaps he over did it in the heat and fainted from fatigue or heat stroke?
Neona sat reading her scroll overlooking the training fields every now and then peeking up to check on her grandson who sat beside her completely consumed as he watched the riders train. She would have rather had their lunch picnic in the gardens but Dubhan had insisted on watching the young riders train and she didn't have the heart to refuse him.
Dubhan watched enthralled by the atmosphere of riders swinging their swords and using other weapons in the training grounds. more than anything in the world he wanted his parents and their dragons to come back to him but second to that he wished he could be down there training with a sword of his own. His dream was to become a dragon rider like his parents but he knew he was still was too young.
Dubhan was currently watching a near by rider make mince meat of a training dummy "YEAH! Break his legs!" Dubhan shouted getting caught up in the action. Dubhan let out a cheer full cry when the rider smashed the dummy with one last final blow. But just as he was about to shout his complements to the rider he watched the rider fall to the ground. Dubhan waited a few seconds but the rider didn't seem to get up.
"Grandma, that rider over there, he fell and isn't getting back up." Dubhan said pointing in the direction of the rider concern filling his voice.
"yes" Neona replied still reading her scroll, she looked up to the direction Dubhan was pointing spotting the shape on the floor a body, no one else around the rider seemed to have noticed.
Neona stood up and hurried over to where the rider lay with Dubhan in toe.
Neona knelt by the body gently rolling him onto his back. she was shocked to find a boys pale face. He doesn't look not that much older than Dubhan, So young to be a rider she thought to herself as she took a shaky hand she raised it up to the boys neck. Using her middle and index fingers to feel for a pulse. Slight relief filled her as she felt the side of the boys neck pulse beneath her finger tips. With further examination she realised his chest raised and fell a good sign that he was still breathing.
"hello? can you hear me?" Neona asked both aloud and in his mind placing her hand on the boys forehead.
"He's not dead is he?" Dubhan asked worried for the rider who he had been idolising.
"no" Neona said after feeling for the boys energy, it was quite low and most likely the reason why he had fainted. "he's going to be just fine" Neona said reassuring her grandson.
Neona took some energy from the ring she wore and transferred it to the boy hopping that it will bring him back to consciousness. "Here this will make you feel better" she said to the unconscious boy both aloud and in mind.

Nathaniel's eyes slightly opened. He saw people surrounding him."Quicksilver come here and help me get up please" thought Nathaniel to Quicksilver "Okay here I come. said Quicksilver. Nathaniel saw His Beautiful white dragon land to the ground. His dragon approached him and he helped Nathaniel get "Hi I am Nathaniel Cairoson at your service" said Nathaniel bowing with almost all of his energy back. he saw a another kid and next to him was a women which by the look of her she was his grandmother. The boy looked at him in awe and amazement. " probably because he admires riders" thought Nathaniel. ' I agree" said Quicksilver.

occ: Neona is actually quite young for a grandmother i think she's about 50. Dubhan is 8 years old and his mother Melantha is about 34 which makes her dragon 19.
Neona backed away as the white dragon approached she was sensible enough to know not to stand to close to a dragon especially one she was not familiar with.
Dubhan watched the rider get to his feet with the help of the white dragon. While the dragon was fairly large in comparison to his own size he considered the dragon quite small compared to his mothers companion Andromeda and further dwarfed by the bulky purple dragon that was his fathers companion.
"You should not train so hard that you faint from exhaustion, You gave everyone quite a scare, you were lucky Dubhan saw you fall." Neona said scornfully shaking her head, she did not see a rider standing before her but a reckless young boy that needed guidance.
Dubhan stood by his grandmother in silence he knew when not to cross his grandmother and this was one of those times.

"I understand your concerns ma'am and I should have not been to hard when doing my most powerful attack technique." replied Nathaniel. "maybe if I had used my sword I would have been fine, you see I had stored energy in my sword blade, I might have had the power to stay awake "said Nathaniel.
occ: I took Thadrin out for now I will introduce him later in Nathaniel's storyline, ok

occ: i don't think a shade wouldn't appear in New Doru Arabea its too well guarded and I'm not sure the location is common knowledge. Also i think you may need to make a character app for Thadrin if you intend on using him, from what you have already written he sound interesting and i would like to know more about him.

occ: If you did not hear, I will be putting Thadrin later in Nathaniel's story line
"The sword strike I preformed is called the Dragon Dive." informed Nathaniel staring at the lady. "It is a spell and physical strike ,it drains power from the user , then it forces the energy from the user into the blade , that can even shatter the most sturdiest swords, and if done perfectly it can shatter stone into million pieces, but this of course you should know will not work on a Rider's Sword." added Quicksilver "I am still novice at it, the best I can do would be to shatter logs and wood" answered Nathaniel.

Dubhan stared in awe as the rider described his move. 'Dragon Dive' he thought to himself 'Thats awesome wow wish i could do that'
Neona frowned at the young man's description of his combination of spell and physical attack "Part of your technique is flawed" she said flatly.
"I am no rider nor am i very skilled with a blade but as a magic user with many years experience i have to advise against your method." Neona said calming the tone of her voice she sincerely wanted to help the young rider
"Using energy from yourself and such a large amount for an attack like that is just not sustainable, not only does it limit your attack power to the amount of energy you have left within yourself it also l limits your next move as you are drained of energy rendering you defenceless to any further incoming attacks and worst case scenario it would kill you."
She paused to gather her thoughts.
"The solution is simple, you need an external power source a gem which you can store energy in and then draw it out for your attack. This will eliminate chances of you feigning from lack of energy. And theoretically you could store much more energy in a gem of adequate size than you could in your body this would maximise the power behind your 'dragon dive' attack " Neona said hopping that her insight would help the rider.
Dubhan looked from Nethaniel to his grandmother scratching his head it took him a moment before realising what his grandmother said was right. "like a Super Dragon Dive!" Dubhan exclaimed excitedly.

occ: just to let you know, Nathaniel’s mother was a elf noble ,and she also was great at magic in fact she is maybe around 150 years old.
"I understand your ways ma'am , and the draining gem thing has been done before, it is known as Dragon's Wraith , It also requires dexterity and strength." informed Nathaniel. "It not only slices the enemy into pieces ,but it also burns them." added Nathaniel.

Neona wondered if the young man really understood what she was trying to tell him. "what ever its called my main point is that it makes more sense to finish an enemy off with energy to spare than to use up all your energy on one foe. what if another enemy waits for your moment of weakness to strike you down, if you faint after your finishing attack you surly would be done for on the battle field. " She was worried for the young boy, perhaps he was keen to fight and prove himself but he would have a long way to go.
"What does your master say about your attack?" Neona asked wondering if his master knew that this young apprentice had been practicing such a deadly move unsupervised.
Dubhan stayed quiet he thought what Nathaniel described was cool but he was also aware that his grandmother was wise and had powerful magic that he had only seen her use once before during the attack on Aberon.

"My master says it does need a bit of improvement which, I am working on it , all I need is to learn to control the outflow of magic."informed Nathaniel
" Hey if you want to improve my training I would be delighted for knowledge is power."said Nathaniel "Hold the thought I must go ,I am tired." "said Nathaniel as he grew very sleepy "If you wish to talk to me , I will be in my chambers, good-bye" Informed Nathaniel as he walked to is quarters.

Neona nodded "I do know of a few exercises that improve control and magic flow but your master must approve of my help first as i would not want to get in the way of your training with them" she found the young man curious.
"yes go rest while i did give you a boost of energy it will not last you through more training" neon replied watching Nathaniel leave.
Dubhan turned to his grandmother "will he be okay?" he asked worried for their new acquaintance.
"as long as he rests and takes it easy he should be fine" Neona replied putting her hand on her grandsons shoulder "Come on i think its time for us to go wash up and get ready for dinner."
