Hello! I'm curious about this site, it came up on the Googles, so I decided to check it out. First question: is the game still alive? xD

It has a slight pulse, but is in a bit of a coma at the moment, since the staff have been preoccupied with real life things. (Max and I are looking for full-time jobs, and Trinn has a 6-month old.) We're all hoping to find some time to come back here.

There are a few other members who lurk from time to time who I'm sure are dying to play with people. New faces are always welcome, so long as you read and abide by the rules and make an effort to get along with the others.

If you need me for anything, such as getting a character accepted or taking the Dragon Rider Quiz, I try to stop by at least a couple of times every week.

I sincerely welcome you here, and hope that you do find some enjoyment on here.

Thank you! Is there anything in particular the group is looking for in new characters? I'm definitely looking at making at least 1 elf, and maybe more OCs if needed. I also need to brush up on my lore, it's been years since I've read these books, although a re-read could be fun...

You can make your character just about any way you want, so long as it is a race within the Inheritance universe. So obviously, you're safe with an elf. You can actually browse the character applications to see that I have an ungodly number of characters, so aside from Riders, there are no real limits.

Also, we do have a fan-made extension to the world in the kingdom of Ismalia, as well as a lot of assumptions in the design and names of the land Eragon went to settle in at the end of the series. If you want to know the particulars of how we've established these places and what they're like, let me know.

Ooh! I'll definitely look that up! I was thinking an Elf in Du Weldenvarden, who was a veteran of the war against Galbatorix (Not a rider though, unless it happened for some reason in the actual playing of the character), would that be acceptable?

Most definitely! And don't worry; provided you pass the Rider Quiz, which is just basic Inheritance trivia to prove you've read the series, you can choose to make your character a Rider any time you wish. I look forward to seeing what you create.

Wow, it was Best Friend's Day when you wrote it. I guess you didn't even know about that but anyway everyday is a holiday and you can't know about all of them. But you can find them out. I found and loved august 10 holidays, for example.
