I'm starting to realise that making a character is more work than I thought.  I'm getting a personal history compiled for my first one (and possibly a couple siblings), but how much history do you want provided in the character profile I submit? Also, my character is an Urgal. Paolini didn't provide us with a lot of canon material on how they live, so can I make some educated guesses and run from there? Or is it preferable to just avoid it as much as possible? |

You can be as detailed about the history as you want. We only ask for a minimum of ten good sentences, but really more is generally better. As for how Urgals live, of course you can make educated guesses. If you have copies of the books on hand, I would recommend reviewing the chapter in Brisingr where Eragon is travelling with Garhzvog, and the chapter in Inheritance when he visits their village to ask permission to allow them to become Riders. Beyond that, feel free to expand. I'm glad you're making an Urgal; they and dwarves are what we have fewest of, and they have always been quite interesting. |

Okay, a couple more questions.  I'm almost done with my first couple apps, but I'd like to know if I can say that Katriana razed an Urgal village anywhere from ten to sixteen years ago (I'm both asking permission from Katriana's player and checking to make sure this is chronologically feasible). I'd also like to know if it is safe to say that a Rider is ferrying a dragon egg around through the Urgal settlements during the current plot's setting? I'd like one of my characters to turn into a Dragon Rider, hopefully fairly quickly, and this seems like an easy plot twist to bring that about. Thank you!  |

Oo, razing an Urgal village that long ago. That would have been very early on in her Shade life, so I can really see her going on quite the rampage. And she did start building up her army in the Spine, so it is quite feasible. And yes, there would probably be several dragon eggs being brought to all settlements for those with the potential to bond, including the Urgals, so feel free to use that as a plot device. I can't wait to see what your character is about. |
