Whether you're a veteran here or a visitor, the lack of recent posts makes the place look like a ghost town. We are not dead here, though! People have lives, and don't always have as much time to put in here, or on any recreational activity, as they would like - but the story goes on. People still check the site, even if they don't log in. To prove we aren't dead here, I'll be posting in this thread about once a month (bear with me, though, because even if I'm checking the site, I may not remember I promised this. My memory is notoriously bad). If you want to get in and don't know how, post below and I'll be happy to help! If you want someone to RP with here, post below! If you think a specific type of character is needed to complement the story you want to tell, post below and I or someone else will create/revive one. Veterans, if any of you are interested in reviving/creating threads, post below! If anyone has a wonderful idea to replace my "blah" profile picture, post below! I think you all get the point.  |

Hey Jax Glad to see a living soul around! I'm interested in reviving old threads (did the two of us have one??) or creating new ones. With college going, the amount of life-sucking leeches on me has been exponentially increased, so I'm not sure I could start a new thread if you paid me. I can and will respond to new ones, though, and will try to create a couple new characters if I can get a stamp of approval. Or maybe I'll go Jeremy Irons and say "Better to ask forgiveness than permission".  |

I get it . I'm doing student teaching, which usually results in coming home and dying after a day in the classroom. I can get something started though. Any particular direction you're feeling? I don't think we had anything together previously, so I can toss out a starter if I know which character I'm rolling with. ATM, I play Eragon/Saphira, Lucian/Alorah (an Ancient Rider/dragon pair), Varda/Blizzard (a female Rider and her manly dragon), Eladan/Amethyst (a crazy, villainous Rider/dragon pair), Xander/Asteroth (a jerk of a Rider and his polite dragon), Nextith (an elven soldier), Sideon(an evil elf assassin), and Larken (an Ismalian noble). If you see anyone on the list that tickles your fancy, let me know. |

Yeah, I get howv student teaching must feel... we padawan learners can be rather thick, sometimes. Just from the character blurbs, they all sound like a ton of fun. I don't really have any preferences, although something Ismalian would be interesting. To be honest, I was barely able to get started here a couple years ago before life happened and I had to disappear, so I may be lacking in a lot of 'common knowledge' about the non-canon history. I have Karzhan (a mischeivous Urgal too smart for his own good), Pierre (taciturn, kindhearted Surdan jeweler, has history with the Varden) and Turmahaisa (young, egotistical wild Dragon). None of these have been into much of anything beyond the backstory in the character apps. I also have Vahrrnglk (Kull, Karzhan's older brother), but until I get back to the Dragon-Rider-making thread Crown/Seth and I had going, I don't know that I'll want to use him in anything else. |

Alrighty! I honestly have been in and out so much that I don't have more than a basic grasp myself on the non-canon history stuff. The war ended, sixteen year timeskip, shade rider pops up aaaand...yeah.
I'd love to toss Varda in with anyone, she needs friends. Lucian and Alorah are the types to definitely foray into wild dragon territory if you want something for Turmahaisa. Larken could definitely be used anywhere.

It sounds like a plan to me! I can see Varda and Blizzard possibly getting along with Karzhan or Pierre, depending on the circumstances - Turmahaisa might not be their speed. If you have a preference let me know, otherwise I'll probably take a cue from where you set it. I'm starting to get excited...
