Character's name: Diana
Character's age: 21
Character's attitude: Serious, but quiet. She was a servant in Galbatorix's palace, and only knows work. She doesn't anger easily, and rarely dares show it if she is. She is often nervous and unsure of herself. After she escaped from Uru'baen with her dragon, her confidance slowly grew, spiking a bit once she had made her sword, but she still often doubts herself. She is secretly miserable for not being able to help Vana and feeling like she betrayed her.
Character's Race: human
Character's appearance: Diana has light blonde hair and light hazel eyes. She wears typical clothing. All in all, she looks very common, not remarkable in any way.
Character's allegiance: Varden
Weapons: A large dagger her mother gave her to protect herself. Her aquamarine Rider's sword, Ilumeo
Other Info: She was friends with Vana until Viel hatched. After that, it seemed to Diana that Vana didn't pay much attention to her.
History: Diana was born to one of the palace servants. No one ever knew who her father was. She grew up as a servant, doing whatever was necessary, from cooking to cleaning to serving and anything in between. She secretly doesn't like the king, but she guards this secret with savage intensity, knowing it would get her killed. She also knows her way around the palace better than almost anyone else due to her many jobs.
After a certain amount of time, she one day found herself cleaning in Galbatorix's hatchery. While there, an aquamarine dragon egg hatched for her, making her a Rider. She immediately fled the city, refusing to serve Galbatorix, though in doing so she hurt her closest and only friend, Vana.
She soon arrived in Surda, where she joined the Varden ranks as one of their Riders. She named her dragon Serenity, for the calm, peaceful feelings and images she always seems to radiate. Later, the pair travelled with Einar and Stigandr to Ellesmera to have Rider's swords made for them. Diana, with Rhunon's help, made her aquamarine sword named Ilumeo--Truth. Since then she has been with the Varden, helping them fight. She is trying to find a way to make Vana see the truth of Galbatorix's evil nature, desperately wanting to save her friend.
Role Play Sample:
Diana looked up from her work, seeing Vana walk by. The woman was once a servant just like she was, until the dragon hatched for her. Now she was the king's favorite Rider. Now it seemed Vana hardly ever paid any attention to her anymore. Shrugging off bitter thoughts, she looked back now at the carrots she was cutting.
"Keep your mind on your work!" the cook snapped behind her. Diana was getting a little frustrated, but kept her mind on her task at hand, not showing her annoyance. She wished people would stop treating her so badly. Just because her mother was a servant, it didn't mean people should treat her like she was something lower than they were, right?
That's what she told herself, anyway.
Dragon info:
