Character's name: Tamar Fam
Character's age: 72
Character's attitude: Cynical, manipulative, dark. But with the facade of pleasant dealings. She's a master at finding weaknesses and using them.
Character's Race: human
Character's appearance:
Long black hair and light grey eyes. She wears crimson or violet dresses and a scarlet veil, in the tradition of the former queens of Ismalia.
Character's allegiance: Ismalia
Weapons: She has guards to protect her. Her own weapons are her manipulative abilities.
Other Info: She is Tenel Ka's grandmother, her father's mother, and the former queen of Ismalia. She hates Tenel Ka's mother because she believes Isolder married below his status. She does not show this, though, but instead uses any ignorance or weakness the queen shows and rules through that.
History: Tamar Fam was born to the king and queen of Ismalia and was their only daughter. She knew from the time she was incredibly young that she would one day rule the land, and lived every moment of her life for that day. She became Queen Mother, married, and had five sons and no daughters. Tismri, the Dragon Rider from the distant land of Alagaesia, tried to advise her to be wise, but she rarely listen to the foreigner's advice. Thus following tradition, the wife of his eldest son came to the throne when he married her. Tamar Fam was displeased wish Isolder's choice, a simple woman who knew how to fight, but not how to rule a country. She abdicated, but silently ruled through the woman's ignorance. She planned to do the same one day with her granddaughter, Tenel Ka, but the young woman quickly learned the dark ways of her family and learned how to resist her grandmother's manipulation.
Role Play Sample:
"Do you speak truly?" Tamar Fam asked with pseudo-sincire sadness and surprise. The servant nodded. "How sad for the prince. and with their daughter, Princess Tenel Ka, away, such an event could never come at a darker time. Is there any hope that the Queen Mother will recover?"
"I am afraid the outlook is grim, my lady."
"Well, while she is ill, be assured that I will do all I can to help our country in her place. Other than that, I fear there is nothing to do until the princess returns."
"Yes, my lady. This is indeed a dark day." The servant turned and left. Tamar Fam ordered her guards out, then allowed a small, wicked smile to cross her face. It appeared one or another of her sons wives had accomplished the goal they all had set out to do. Her daughter-in-law was going to die on an "unexpected illness."
