... I hadn't realized but for both Turreck and Galdrohk I put their age under attitude and then their attitude under other. I got a little mixed up there I guess.

Character's name: Jacobla (pseudonym Balojac)
Character's attitude: Jacobla is an accomplished thief. He cares little for what political struggles rage around him so long as the rich still have houses full of valuables. Presently, he only steals from the richest among men for they offer the only profit and challenge to be had. He is great with wooing and awing many people with great stories but he has no friends. Jacobla doesn’t deal with people on a deeply personal level if he can help it because he always comes first, him, then any amount of riches he can get his hands on. He is charitable in his business dealings but he never gives anything away for free. To improve his craft he has taken time to study economics on large and small scales so he could better plan how and when to strike whom.
Character's Race: Human
Character's appearance: Not many people are able to get a good look at Jacobla when he is working, which he spends a lot of him time doing. His alter ego Balojac, however, is well known among traders. Lithe, deft and with dark hair and eyes, he may seem ominous at first but his friendly demeanor does well to dispel any thoughts of evil. Jacobla, after having been a successful thief for so long, has grown vain and dresses only in the finest clothes that his money can buy.
Character's allegiance: Neutral
Weapons: Jacobla can show off with a dagger but he doesn’t know a whole lot about fighting with one. Actually he doesn’t know a whole lot about fighting in general, he’s too good at what he does to have to worry about it.
Other Info: He has many hideaways throughout the empire, each filled with great amounts of coins, exotic armor, dazzling gems, and other pieces of value. He is heavily invested and now collects profit from businesses he funded as well as those he has stolen from.
History: Jacobla was born in Uru’baen where a tragic event left him without family, nor tolerance for the empire. He moved to Teirm and began his career as a petty thief, stealing from those even needier than himself. He quickly learned, however, that preying on the weak was both evil and unnecessary. His skills granted him access to the wealthiest houses all along the empire for as far as he wished to travel. He rapidly accumulated a great deal of wealth and business collections, for since he no longer stole just coins he needed some one to sell the rest to. Fences were unreliable so he made a public alter ego who was a rich, eccentric collector and set forth selling all that was his. Midway through his great success however he made a near fatal blunder stealing from one who could use magic. He was unsure how, but they had divined his presence and intentions and he was barely able to escape with his life.
Jacobla spent a great deal of his wealth then on lessons in magic to help defend himself from it use it. Although he excelled in quickly becoming mentally impregnable he could not grasp the ideas of using the actual words. He still fears magic, though he is better prepared to face it, and remains weary of those knowledgeable of the ancient language. That hasn’t stopped him from stealing from magicians however, and even once a rider. Nowadays Jacobla keeps himself busy by keeping an eye on local and national economic situations as well as the positions of various nobles or visiting houses. He keeps his skills sharp and sets up challenges to fill his time, and his ever growing amount of treasure.
Role Play Sample:
“The king is leaving the castle for Gil’ead you say?” Jacobla asked. The old jewel crafter nodded.
“First time in years. Perhaps he’s grown a little restless.”
“Yes, but no less paranoid I hope. If he doesn’t take all of his best guards from the palace he would be the likely target of a Varden attack.”
“Oh, he may take a court magician or two but there will be guards waiting in Gil’ead, you hardly need anyone to guard you while you fly at any rate.”
“That is good to hear, my position would be upset a bit if the king were to be killed.” It was partially true, dispensing tax earnings to such a small percentage of nobles was a greedy strategy that Jacobla profited endlessly from. He despised the king most of all however and this opportunity was too tempting.
“Your business has been doing well since last we me I see.” Jacobla observed, the mans shop held grand displays of jewelry and elaborate weapons.
“Yes, your investment contained only the finest gems, people are clamoring to me for my prices too, I buy from you and I’m still able to make profit selling for two thirds as much as the competition.”
“That’s good to hear, because I may have another batch of jewels coming for you very soon, and I promise, these will be finer than any you have laid eyes on. Galbatorix will envy them.”
“You bring them and I will be able to buy them, I owe you for getting this place off to the start it has.”
You might not feel so indebted when Galbatorix finds where his missing things have gone... Jacobla thought with a smile.
“I’ll be back in a weeks time, keep some of that coin ready you hear?”
With that Jacobla bought the fastest horse he could find and raced to Uru’baen. He had not returned there since he was fourteen, and now he could at least gain some partial vengeance...
