Character's name: Cirilai
Character's age: 20
Character's attitude: Cirilai has a mischievous nature. She loves to explore and discover new places. She is, however, wary of strangers. Her love of new places does not carry to new people. Often times Cirilai would rather be out in the wild by herself then with people. However, the exception is her father and her best friend, not to mention her bond, Chatura. Generally, Cirilai gives off a mysterious and withdrawn vibe to those who don’t know her. Doesn’t speak much to people out of her tribe, and is comfortable with silence. Don’t be misguided though. Cirilai is really quite friendly once she lowers her barriers.
Character's Race: Human
Character's appearance: Without the head scarf. Cirilai has lustrous, copper toned hair. Clothing usually consists of armless tunics and leggings, with knee high boots. She also has a heavy fur-lined cloak for winter.
The tattoes are marks of rank among the Ayati nomads. The more a person has, the higher in status he is. Marks on the face are reserved for the leaders and others of importance. Since Cirilai is a dragon rider, she was allowed, and encouraged, to take face markings. Because of the nomads affinity for tattoes, many people find the tribesmen and women frightening or unnatural.
Character's allegiance: Neutral.
Weapons: Cirilai prefers the use of knifes when it comes to weapons, but she usually fights in hand to hand combat style.
Other Info: The nomadic tribe is generally friendly to strangers, but they are not very trusting. They prosper through trade with other nomads and cities in Surda. When in the empire, they try to stay hidden, as they know there are slavers that would willingly capture them all. This is partly why they do not trust strangers, and why they train their children in the arts of combat and weaponry. They are known as the Ayati Nomads. Ayati, in their dialect, means royal, for it is said they are descendent from nobility. Also, the if anyone wants to make an Ayati member, feel free. And, her bestfriend and dad are up for grabs as well.
History: Cirilai was born in the haddarac, causing her mothers death. Although devastated, her father was not bitter. He and his late wife knew the pregnancy would be tough, let alone the birth. Fortunately, he wasn't alone to raise the infant. He was part of a nomadic tribe, so Cirilai was brought up basically in the wild. Her mothers knife was passed down to her, so she was practically raised with the thing. It is a constant presence at her hip. As is tradition with this particular tribe, the nomads trained the children together in different areas. Some passed on lessons in stealth, others in acrobats. All the others passed on the skills of weapons. Cirilai took a particular liking to acrobatic, hand to hand combat. Among all the children, Cirilai had only one good friend, another boy her age. At the age of nineteen, her tribe discovered a dragon egg in the beor mountains. They passed it among themselves, and when it was Cirilai's turn to carry it, the egg hatched for her. When the dragon could speak, Cirilai, with the dragon’s consent, gave her the name Chatura, which means clever in her tribes dialect. A year has passed since then. Aware of the varden and the empire’s need of dragon riders, Cirilai is often forced to hide away with Chatura when the tribe visits cities. Lately, they have been considering leaving the tribe and seeking their own destiny.
Role Play Sample: Touching two fingers to her forehead in the traditional way, Cirilai bid farewell to her father. The Ayati nomads were two miles from a small village in Surda, and as usual, Cirilai and Chatura were forced to stay behind so as not to be discovered. Standing beside her companion, the two watched the tribe march away, leaving deep footsteps in the glittering snow. Glancing up at Chatura, Cirilai sighed and pulled her cloak tighter around herself. Chatura gazed down at her affectionately. Worry not, my heart. One day we shall not have to suffer invisibility. Comforted by these words, Cirilai gave a small smile. “Come. Let us fly. In the sky we are best hidden.” Chatura chuckled, her shoulders shaking with her mirth. Even though your father insisted we stay grounded?. Cirilai’s smile turned mischievous. “Aye, even so.”
Dragon Name: Chatura
Dragon Color: A dark, burnt orange.
Dragon personality: Chatura, which means clever in the Ayati’s dialect, is a light-hearted, humorous dragon. She enjoys laughter and games. Games like riddles and puzzle intrigue her the most. Really, anything that exercises the mind is considered fun in her opinion. Like her rider, exploring and discovering are both hobbies she enjoys. Unlike her rider, Chatura does like to meet new people. Indeed, she is very good with strangers. But, she still prefers the company of Cirilai to anyone else. Has a rather protective nature over the entire tribe. When it comes to fighting, Chatura has taken it upon herself to train in fighting, both on land and in air. She is agile and quick.
OOC: ACCEPTED!! hehe
